The Plattsburgh State Cardinals pose for there team photo as the champions of the 2013 Primelink Great Northern Shootout Champions. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play #15 Middlebury in the Championship of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. The game would start well for the Cardinals as Connor Gorman would light the lamp 3:29 into the game to give the Cardinals the early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just over two minutes later on Dakota Mason's goal. Then with just under two minutes left in the period would add another one on Michael Radisa's goal to give the Cardinals the convincing 3-0 lead after the first period. That is where the game would stay until 11:12 of the third period when the Panthers would get their lone goal from Louis Belisle to make it 3-1. From there on the Cardinals would hold check to get the 3-1 victory and there 4th Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship. In the winning effort Matthieu Cardieux would make 20 saves and be named the MVP of the tournament. With the win the Cardinals stay undefeated at 8-0-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Alex Benton (19) knee catches the head of Wisconsin-Superior's Drew Strandberg (1) as he crashes the knee for the rebound. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet the Wisconsin-Superior Yellow Jackets in the semi-finals of the 16th edition of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout in Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh's Michael Cassidy would get the home Cardinals on the broad first at 6:31 of the first period to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Alex Benton's goal at the 9:43 mark. The Yellow Jackets would cut the lead in half at 12;57 of the first period when Anton Stevenson would light the lamp to make it 2-1. The Cardinals would extend the lead back to two just over a minute into the second when Dillan Fox would score to make it 3-1. The game would stay there until the last minute of the game when Alex Jensen would add an empty netter to secure the Cardinals 4-1 victory. In the winning effort Mathieu Cadieux would make 19 saves as the Cardinals would advance to the Great Northern Shootout championship game. Gallery

The game would remain scoreless until 16:36 Giovanna Senese would light the lamp to make it 1-0 Cardinals on the breakaway. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would make it 2-0 thanks to Julia Duquette's goal. Then in the second period Ali Vakos would strike twice to make it 4-0 Cardinals after two periods. Then in the third period the Cardinals would finish it off with three goals from Bridget Balisy, Jordan Caldwell, and Alyssa Parke for the 7-0 win. In the winning effort Sydney Aveson would keep her shutout streak alive now at 9 straight games with 11 saves on the day as the Cardinals go to 8-0 on the season. Gallery

Plain White T's receiver with a diving catch in the end zone for the score. The Adirondack J's and Plain White T's would meet to start the Indoor Flag Football season. The Plain White T's would get the early 7-0 lead. Adirondack J's would answer back though on an Austin Velie touchdown to make it 7-6 at the intermission. When the teams came back Adirondack J's Craig Livsey would strike quick with the interception touchdown to make it 12-7 Adirondack J's. Then just three minutes leader Plain White T's would take the lead back on the touchdown at 13-12. Then at the 10-minute mark, Craig Livsey would strike again for his second pick 6 to give Adirondack J's the 20-12 lead and the score would hold up for the win. With the win Adirondack J's start the season 1-0 while Plain White T's are 0-1.

Clinton Gladiators receiver with the touchdown with a load of defenders around. The West Plattsburgh Wolfpack and the Clinton Gladiators would meet in the opener and look to get their season started off right. Well for one they would succeed on that mission the other would need to go back to the drawing broad. Clinton Gladiators would score three minutes in on a pick 6 and take the 6-0 lead. Then five minutes leader the Wolfpack would tie the game up at six. Then before the half ended the Gladiators would score twice more and take a 22-6 lead at intermission. Then when the teams came back the Gladiators would score four more unanswered touchdowns and cruise to the 48-6 win. With the win the Gladiators go to 1-0 while the Wolfpack goes to 0-1.

CJ Tunes' receiver with the leaping catch in the end zone for the score. CJ Tunes & DJ Photography would meet Rand Hill Painters to start off the indoor flag football season. The game would remain scoreless until the 10th minute when CJ's would get on the broad to take the 6-0 lead. The score would remain there til two minutes into the second half when CJ's Barber would score to make it 14-0. Rand Hill Painters would get on the broad at the five-minute mark to make it 14-7. Then at the 15th-minute mark, Justin Frennier would score for CJ's to make it 20-7. Then at the last minute they would put the game away with one more score to make it a 26-7 final. With the win, CJ Tunes & DJ Photography go to 1-0 and Rand Hill Painters fall to 0-1 on the season.

Packers' defender would beat DBXtreme's Justin Charland (14) to the ball for the interception in the end zone. In the last game of the night DBXtreme would face Plattsvegas Packers to finish off week one. DBXtreme's Jordan Gillespie would get the games first score to make it 7-0 three minutes in. DBXtreme would extend the lead to 14-0 at the ten-minute mark. Plattsvegad would get on the broad at 12-minute mark to make it 14-6. Then in the last minute of the half Plattsvegas would score again to make it 14-12 at intermission. When the teams came back for the second half DBXtreme would strike first at the four-minute mark to make it 20-12 on Andrew Price's score. Then at the eight-minute mark DBXtreme and Andrew Price would strike again to make it 26-12. At the thirteen minute mark Plattsvegas would make it a one-score game at 26-18. Then with three minutes left DBXtreme would put the game out of reach with the touchdown to make it 32-18. Plattsvegas would not give up though as they would score as time expired to make it a 32-24 final. With the win DBXtreme would go to 1-0 while Plattsvegas is 0-1 on the season.

This would be a very high pace up and down game and would be tight throughout. The Saints would trail by a score of 39-31 at the intermission. In the second half the Saints would do there best to keep it a game stay close but they would fall short and lose 79-73. Leading the way for the Saints would be Michael Boyea and Matthew Gullotta with twelve points apiece as the Saints go to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

North Country would get on the Lakers early and gets the early edge on the turnovers and Lakers couldn't get much of the answer. The Saints would hold a 30-21 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same and they would get the 54-41 victory. North Country Community College Saints would take on the Corning Community College in NJCAA Region 3 action at Chateaugay Central School. The first half would be hotly contested throughout the Saints would hold a slim 32-28 lead at the break. When the teams returned the Saints would jump on them early and extend there lead to 17 points. Although the Express would not go quietly and get right back into the Saints would have to hold on for the slim 67-63 win. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead five minutes in on Kevin Emmerling's goal. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Mark Constantines' goal at the ten-minute mark. That is where the game would stay until three minutes into the second period when Michael Radisa's goal to make it 3-0 Cardinals. That is where the game would stay until the third period when the Cardinals would get three goals coming from Mark Constantine, Dillon Fox and Kevin Emmerling to finish off the Golden Eagles for the 6-0 win. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Ice Knights in SUNYAC action. The game would start well for the Cardinals Barry Rotyman would light the lamp to make it 1-0 Cardinals just four minutes in on the power play. The Cardinals would add another special teams goal this time shorthanded as Michael Radisa would make it 2-0 Cardinals with 26 seconds left in the first. When the teams came out for the 2nd period the Cardinals didn't let up as Kevin Emmerling would score two minutes in to make it 3-0. Then at the nine-minute mark the Knights would get on the broad with Stephen Collins's goal to make it 3-1. Then with 4:30 left in the second period, Barry Rotyman would get his second of the net to secure the 4-1 victory. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet the Lake Placid Blue Bombers in the first round of the New York State Class D Volleyball Tournament. The upset-minded Lake Placid Blue Bombers would be taken out of there game early and the Chateaugay Bulldogs would get the easy straight-sets win in just over an hour. The scores of the three games are 25-12 25-16 25-10. With the win the Bulldogs go to 20-0 on the season and will travel to Gloversville on November 9 to take on Waterford for the right to go the final four. Gallery

The Bulldogs would get the straight-set victory by scores of 33-31, 25-20, 25-19. With the Huskies having to play a earlier match against Potsdam and a long first game the freshness of the Bulldogs would come into play. With the win the Bulldogs perfect season continues at 19-0. In the second it would be more of the same with scores from Clint McCool and Andrew Castine to secure the 42-0 victory. With the win the Malinaik Masonry would secure a bye in next week's playoffs. Beekmantown's Quenton Barber (88) wraps up Peru's Revilno Hendricks (9) on his attempt to take around the end. The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would meet in the Section VII Class B Championship at Ausable Valley with a berth in the state tournament on the line. Beekmantown would take the 7-0 lead on their first drive of the game on a Justin Stevens 11 yard run. Then inside the last minute of the first quarter Justin Stevens would strike again to give the Eagles the 14-0 lead. Peru would get on the broad 11 seconds into the second quarter on a Ryan Lovely 45 yard touchdown reception to make it 14-7. Beekmantown would answer back 4 minutes later on a Devin Fesette 60 yard touchdown run to make it 20-7. Peru's Taylor Avanzato would score on a 5 yard run at 7:52 of the second quarter to make it 20-14. Then to end the second quarter fury Justin Stevens would score from 17 yards out to make it 27-14 with 2.13 left til halftime. In the third quarter Zane Bazzano would have the lone score off a 14-yard touchdown at 8:13 to make it 27-21 Eagles. Then 2:28 Zane Bazzano and the Indians would strike again to give the Indians there first lead of the day. The Eagles wouldn't give up though and after an Indian fumble Justin Stevens would score for his third touchdown of the day to give the Eagles the 33-28 lead and win. With the win the Beekmantown Eagles go to 5-4 on the season and play the Malone Huskies in the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament on November 9th at Ausable Valley. Gallery

Saranac's John Maye (26) breaks the tackle around the edge and takes it for one of four touchdowns on the day. In the second game of the championship, Saturday the Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet the Saranac Chiefs in the Class C Championship. Saranac Lake would have the only score in the first quarter on Dylan Gunther 11 yard touchdown reception with 3:06 left to make it 7-0 Red Storm. Then just 1:19 into the second quarter the Chiefs would tie the game up on John Maye's touchdown. Then just three minutes later Maye would strike again to make it 14-7 Chiefs. The Red Storm would answer back with 4:03 left in the half on a short field goal to make it 14-10. The Chiefs would extend there lead to 21-10 on John Maye's third touchdown of the day with 1:57 left before half. Saranac Lake would strike quick and make it 21-16 at the half on Dan Strack's touchdown. When the teams would return for the second half the Red Storm would take there first lead of the game at 3:50 of the third on a short touchdown run to give them 24-21 lead. That is where the score would remain until the Chiefs would retake the lead on John Maye's fourth touchdown of the day at 28-24 with 4:03 left in the game. Then with just 1 minute left in the game the Red Storm would get the game-winning touchdown to Dylan Gunther for the 30-28 win. With the win the Red Storm goes to 5-4 on the season and will play Ogdensburg in State Tournament first-round November 8th at Potsdam. Gallery

That is where the score would remain until 3 minutes left in the game when Roto-Roters would make it 14-0 on Matt St. Clair's touchdown. Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (34) keeps the puck out of the net with all the traffic around to keep the shutout intact. The #5 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in the season and SUNYAC opener. In the battle of fellow north country rivals there would be times the would get physical and chippy at times. The game would remain scoreless until the 41 seconds into the second period when Nick Jensen would score on the power play to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just three minutes later when Patrick Hermans would score his collegiate goal. Then 4:23 into the third period Dillon Fox would add one more to give the Cardinals the 3-0 victory. In the winning Mathieu Cadieux would have 14 saves for the shutout victory. With the win the Cardinals start of there seasons the right way at 1-0. Gallery
