The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2013 Section X Class D Champions. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would play #2 Edwards-Knox Cougars in Section X Class D Championship at Massena High School. The Bulldogs would need four games to get the championship 25-16, 25-8, 19-25, 25-20. With the victory the Bulldogs have won there eight straight championships. Now they play the winner of Northern Adirondack and Lake in the State Tournament on November 6 at Massena High School. Gallery.

Chateaugay's Josh Trombley (goalie) with the fingertip diving save on the Parishville-Hopkinton penalty kill. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in the last regular-season game of the season. It would be a cold game with a steady win that would start spitting snow before the end. The two teams would definitely bring there best and it would get very physical and chippy out there. The Bulldogs would take the quick 1-0 in the 7th minute on Seth Young's goal. Then in the 13th minute the Bulldogs would extend there lead to 2-0 on Chad Stalter's penalty kick. Then in the 20th minute Wyatt Snell would score for the Panthers to try and get them back in it. From there on both teams would have their chances but that would end the scoring as the Bulldogs get the 2-1 win and go to 12-3-1 on the season. The Malone Huskies would host the Chateaugay Bulldogs in a battle that would have the best two teams in Section X's's action. This would be a five-setter that would have some very intense moments and the crowd was pulling for there teams. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would get the win over the Malone Huskies but they would need all five sets (25-18, 15-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-15). With the win the Bulldogs would finish there season undefeated at 16-0 while the Huskies fall to 13-2 on the season. Gallery

It would be a battle of the top 20 teams as the Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in the home finale of the season. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would take the quick 1-0 lead on Danielle Charland's goal in the 3rd minute. The Bulldogs extend there lead to 2-0 in the 8th minute on an own goal. The Bulldogs would make it 3-0 when Katie Beach would score in the 15th minute. Then in the 55th minute Hannah Cook scored to make it 4-0. The Bulldogs would end there scoring in the 70th minute on Courtney Yando's goal to secure the 5-0 win. Roto-Roters would take the 7-0 lead nine minutes in on Harry Rascoe's score. Just two minutes later Malinik's would tie the game at seven on Chris Castine's 45-yard score. Malik's would take the 14-7 lead on a 31-yard strike. Roto-Roters would score in the last minute of the second half on Brandon Lamica's touchdown but would fail on the extra point to give Malinik the 14-13 win. With the win T. The Monsters would take the 7-0 lead on Kenji Jones 70 yard run for the score. The Monsters would score again with four minutes left in the half to take a 14-0 lead at the break. Mama's Boyz would do there best to stay in the game and get a second-half score by Jordan Gillespie to make it a 14-6 Monsters win. With the win the Monsters go to 3-3 while Mama's Boyz falls to 2-4. Garrow would give the Rebels the 7-0 lead ten minutes in on the rushing touchdown. The next score would not come till the 15th minute of the second half when the Rebels would score on a 35-yard field to secure the 10-0 win. Peabody would take the 6-0 lead on Chris Strack's 2-yard touchdown reception at the 16-minute mark. The Monsters would take the lead 7-6 on the Quarterback keeper at the 9-minute mark. Peabody's and Chris Strack would strike again with four minutes remaining to take the 12-7 lead and victory. With the victory Peabodies ends there winless season and goes to 1-4 on the season. Chateaugay's Caitlin Miller (21) with the solid block at the net. It would be time for the annual Saranac Volleyball Tournament. This years tournament would have seven teams between 6 schools (Saranac A & B, Chateaugay, Plattsburgh, Peru, Ogdensburg, and Northeastern Clinton). When it was all said and done the Chateaugay Bulldogs would win the tournament with a record of a 11-1 and Plattsburgh would be second at 10-2. It would be another great tournament with all teams having a great time as sectionals rapidly approach. Gallery

Beekmantown's Gavyn Noonan (76) with the tackle just outside the endzone as Ausable Valley's John Goodnough (7) avoids the safety. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Ausable Valley Patriots in the final week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Eagles would have a 14-0 lead after the first quarter on two scores from Justin Stevens one rushing and the other on a punt return. The Patriots would try to keep it close when Scott Douglas would score on a 15-yard reception at 1:29 in. The Eagles would answer right back with Justin Stevens's third touchdown on the day at 5:31 to make it 21-6. The Eagles would extend the lead to 28-6 on Kyle Dupingey on a 35-yard touchdown. With ten seconds left in the half, Jacob Remchuk would scramble from 9 yards out to make it 35-6 at the break. Just 1:47 into the second half it would be more of the same as Quenton Barber would score a 65-yard punt return to make it 42-6. Then at the 6-minute mark of third Devin Fessette would take it up the middle from 5 yards out for the score to make it 48-6. Then just as the fourth quarter would start the Eagles would strike one last time this time from Kyle Dupingey for the 55-6 victory. With the win, the Eagles would finish the season at 4-3 while Patriots fall to 1-6.

The North Country Rebels would try to get back in the game in second half on Kenny Karnley touchdown run to make it 14-7. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in game between top 15 teams in the state along with the battle for first place in the division. The Yellow Jackets would get the lone goal of the game from Kaden Pickering in the 4th minute of the game. The game would be very phyiscail at times and both teams were having issues with the wind. The Bulldogs would have there chances throughout the game but unable to find the back of the net. With the win the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets would clinch the East Division title and the Bulldogs fall to 10-3-1 on the season. Gallery.

The game would remain scoreless until the 35th minute when the Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead on Brianna Cook's goal. The Bulldogs would extend the lead under a minute later when Brianna Cook would score again to make it 2-0. Then in the 39th minute, the Bulldogs would score again to take a 3-0 lead on Haylee Towers' goal. That is where the game would remain until the 76th minute when Rachel Young would score for the Bulldogs to give them the 4-0 win. The Beekmantown Eagles and Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet during week 6 of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. This would be a match of equally matched teams with most of the scoring coming in the first quarter. The Red Storm would strike twice and the Eagles once on Devin Fessetes score to make it 14-7 after one. Then in second quarter, the teams would trade scores with the Eagles score coming from Cameron Garceau to make it 21-14 Red Storm at the break. That is where the game would remain until the earlier part of the 4th when the Eagles would tie the game up at 21 on Justin Stevens running score. Although on the Red Storm drive they would march right down the field and score the game-winner to give the Red Storm the 28-21 victory. With the win, the Red Storm goes to 4-2 while the Eagles fall to 3-3 on the season.

The Shock would take the early 8-0 on their opening drive. The North Stars would fight right back and tie the game at 8 on Dexter Geoghan touchdown. Although the Shock would score one more before the end of the quarter to make it 14-8 Shock. The North Stars would take the 15-14 lead on Brett Boyers 62 yard touchdown score. From there on it would be a shocking game as they would have 22 unanswered points to secure the 36-15 victory for the championship. Gallery

The 3rd place Lake Placid Blue Bombers(5-2-1) beat the 6th place Westport Eagles(2-9-0) 3-1 in Boys MVAC Varsity Soccer. Start Baird(11), Blue Bombers, scored at 8:16 in the 1st assisted by Nzoni Thompson(8). Alex Brandes(13), Blue Bombers, scored at 16:23 in the 1st assisted by Shane McNierney. Ryan Davis(17), Eagles, scored at 32:37 in the 1st. Pat Kane(6), Blue Bombers, scored at 33:14 in the 2nd assisted by Stuart Baird(11). The Eagles had 7 shots on goal, 9 saves, 1 corner kick, 0 fouls, and 0 offsides. The Blue Bombers had 9 shots on goal, 7 saves, 11 corner kicks, 0 fouls, and 0 offsides. This would be the final regular-season home game for the Eagles. The half time ceremony is available in the store.

That is where the game would remain until the 44th minute when Hannah Cook would strike again to make it 2-0 Bulldogs. Then in the 58th minute, the Bulldogs would make it 3-0 on Danielle Charland's goal. Then in the 64th minute, the Bulldogs and Danielle Charland would score again to make it 4-0. Then in the 74th minute, the Bulldogs score again this time from Brianna Cook to make it 5-0. Then in the 75th minute, Danielle Charland would finish off her hat trick to make it 6-0. Christy McGuinness(7), the Panthers, scored at 30:16 in the 1st half assisted by Brittany Foote(13). The Lady Eagles had 6 shots on goal and 5 saves. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moira Panthers in Section X East Division. The two rivals would play a very spirited game throughout and be very competitive. The Bulldogs would get the opening goal in the 11th minute on the Cody Smith goal to make it 1-0 Bulldogs. That is where the game would remain until 63rd minute when the Bulldogs would increase the lead to 2-0 on Wayne Cowan's rebound goal. That would be enough for the Bulldogs as they would hold on for the 2-0 win. In the winning effort, Josh Trombley would just need to make one save for the shutout victory. Peru's Rivelino Hendricks (9) and Anthony Gallo (10) leap over Saranac's John Maye (26) to break up the pass over the middle. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Peru Indians in week 6 of the Champlain Valley Football League league season. It would be the battle of a couple of schools that just don't like each other and at times it would show. The Indians would strike first 3:30 on a fumble recovery in the endzone for a score to make it 7-0 Indians. Then at the 8-minute mark, the Indians would score again this time hooking up with Zane Bazzano on a 45-yard pass to make it 14-0. The Chiefs would get on the broad just over a minute later on John Maye's touchdown run to make it 14-6. Then just three minutes into the second quarter the Indians would hit Bazzano again this time on a bomb to make it 20-6. Then just two minutes later it would be Bazzamo again to make it 27-6. Then as the first half would come to an end the Indians and Rivelino Hendricks would score from five yards out to make it 34-6 at the break. When the teams return for the second half it was more of the same as the Indians and Hendricks would score at the nine-minute mark to make it 41-6. From there on out the teams would cruise it on out. With the win, the Indians stay undefeated at 6-0 and the Chiefs fall to 2-4 on the season.

Plattsburgh's Joshua Nephew (32) lowers the shoulder and goes right through the Glens Falls defender. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Glens Falls Greenjackets in the semi-finals of the Empire Football League playoffs. The North Stars would have a 7-0 lead after the first quarter on DJ Barber's touchdown. The scoring would pick up in the second quarter with three scores by the two teams to make it a 21-6 North Stars lead at the breaks the North Stars scores would come from Dexter and Elisa Parks. In the second the Greenjackets would do there best to stay in the game and that's just what they did scoring twice but the North Stars would get one score late from Elisa Parks to secure the 28-20 victory. With the win, the Plattsburgh North Stars will host next week's championship game against the Syracuse Shock as the North Stars advanced to their fifth straight title game. Gallery

Chateaugay's Jordan Martin (7) and St. Lawrence's Tyler Kowalchuk (4) rise up and the battle for the ball at midfield. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would battle the St. Lawrence Larries in Section X East Division action. The game would remain scoreless until the 34th minute when Nick Ashline would score on the header to give the Bulldogs the 1-0 lead assist to Chad Slater. The game would remain there until the 69th minute when Nick Ashline would score again for the Bulldogs this time hitting it off the crossbar and in to make 2-0 Bulldogs with the assist going to Seth Young. Then just two minutes later when Seth Young would score on the breakout to make it 3-0. The Larries would try to get back in the game with a goal just 20 seconds later on Matthew Frary to make it 3-1 but that's as far as they would get. The Bulldogs would hang on for the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort, Josh Trombley would make one save. With the win, the Bulldogs would go to 8-2-1 on the season. Gallery.
