She would become the 15th player in Chateaugay history and 6th girl to reach this accomplishment in school history. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Colton-Pierpont Colts in Section X East Division action. The Bulldogs would waste no time in getting the advantage as they would have a 16-2 lead after the first quarter. Then in the second quarter, they would outscore the Colts 9-3 to take the 25-5 lead into the break. In the second half, it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would outscore them 21-10 for the 46-15 win. In the winning effort, Courtney Boyea would lead the way with eleven points. With the Bulldogs go to 12-2 as the Colts fall to 4-12. Gallery

Malone Huskies Vs Northeastern Clinton Cougars January 30 2013

Northeastern Clinton's Jordan Lamere (4) with the low shot to the bottom corner for the goal to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. The Malone Huskies would host the Northeastern Clinton Cougars in nonleague hockey action. The Cougars would get on the broad 30 seconds in and we're off and running on the Alex Duffy goal to make it 1-0. The Cougars would strike again at 3:46 on Jordan Lamere's goal to make it 2-0. That is where the game would remain until 21 seconds left in the second period when Tanner Studlack would score on the power play for the Huskies to make it 2-1 Cougars going into the third period. Then just 2:51 into the third Nick Palmer would score for the Cougars to make it 3-1. Then at 6:12, the Cougars get another goal this time from Dayton Roberts to make it 4-1. The Cougars would add one more at 15:18 to end the scoring with Justin Rabbideau's goal to give the Cougars the 5-1 victory. In the winning effort, Cody Young would stop 16 of 17 shots while Brandon Powers for the Huskies would stop 19 of 24. With the win, the Cougars will go to 8-7 as the Huskies fall to 8-8-1. Gallery

Malone's Joey Brown (30) makes the save on the scramble with the assist from Jake Hennings (10) stick. The Malone Huskies would host the Potsdam Sandstoners in Section X action. The Sandstoners would get the opening goal at the 6-minute mark of the first period on Corson Green goal 1-0 Sandstoners. The Sandstoners would make it 2-0 on Trevor Keleher's goal at 8:28 to end the first-period scoring. The Sandstoners would get the scoring started at 2:39 of the second on Mike Maroney's goal to make it 3-0. The Sandstoners would strike again seven seconds later on Josh Locey's goal to make it 4-0. The Sandstoners score again at 4:14 on Robbie Scott's goal to make it 5-0. The Huskies would finally get on the broad 36 seconds later on Trevor Hendersons' goal. Then with 1:16 left in the second Cameron Daniels would make it 5-2 at the end of the second. Then just a 1:15 into the third the Sandstoners would make it 6-2 Josh Locey's second goal of the night. Then at the 11:42 mark would make it 7-2 Logan Ford's goal. The Sandstoners would get one more as time expired in the game to make an 8-2 final. Malone's Logan Harris (18) with the crushing hit along the end boards on the Ogdensburg skater. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils in Section X Division II action. The game would match two teams that were very evenly matched. It would take till the seven-minute marl of the 2nd period for the first goal when Drew Costigan would light the lamp with the assist going to Nolan Ruffa. Then with just over a minute left in the 2nd period, Ogdensburg would strike again this time on the power-play goal by Brandon Mullin with Jake Garrison picking up the assist to make to 2-0 Blue Devils after two. The Huskies would answer right back just 45 seconds into the third period Trevor Cooley would put away the loose puck for the power-play goal to make it a game at 2-1 Blue Devils. Then just over two minutes later the Blue Devils would take their two-goal lead back on Brandon Mullins's second goal of the game with the assist going to Gian Ruffa and Mark Morrow. The Blue Devils would end the scoring at 12:59 of the third period Burke Comeau scores on the power play with the assist going to Jake Garrison and Brandon Mullins. The Blue Devils would get the 4-1 victory to stay atop the Division II standings. In the losing effort, Joey Brown would stop 37 of 41 shots as the Huskies fall to 7-6-1 on the season. Gallery

On Military Appreciation members of the United States Military would take part in the ceremonial puck drop at center ice. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the fellow North Country foe the Potsdam State Bears in SUNYAC action. The game would be very hotly contested as they would try to decide who was the best in the North Country. The Cardinals would get an opening goal at 5:46 of the first from Dillan Fox to make it 1-0 Cardinals. That is where the game would remain until the 5:07 of the second period when Nick Jensen would get the short-handed goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Michael Cassidy would make it 3-0 for the Cardinals on his goal at 8:50 of the second period. Then with 1:30 left in the second period, Dillan Fox would get his second goal of the night to make it 4-0 Cardinals. The Bears would eventually get on the broad at 3:42 of the third period when Dan McCamey would light the lamp. As the Cardinals get the 4-1 victory. Chateaugay's Hannah Cook (11) splits the defense and takes it to the hoop for the lay-up basket as part of an eight-point night. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Lawerence Larries in Section X action. The Bulldogs would stellar defense throughout the game as they would get the 39-22 win. The Bulldogs would have the 11-6 lead after the first quarter. The second quarter was very low scoring as the Bulldogs win it 8-5 and take a 19-11 lead into the locker room at the break. When the teams would return for the second half the defense would remain for both teams as the Bulldogs would win the half 20-11 for the 39-22 victory. In the winning effort, Courtney Boyea would lead the way with 15 points on the night as the Bulldogs go to 11-1 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host ECAC-West conference foe Elmira Soaring Eagles The game would be very physical at times as both teams were looking for the upper hand in the conference standings. The Cardinals would get the early lead on Allison Era's goal in the first minute of the game. The Cardinals would take the 2-0 lead on Andrea Zeismann's power-play goal at the ten-minute mark of the first. Then in the last 1:30 of the period, Elmira would get on the broad with Sam Curk's goal to make it 2-1 Cardinals after the first period. That is where the game would remain until Alyssa Parke would score at the 11:15 mark of the second period to make it 3-1 after the second period. Then in the third period, the Cardinals would get one more goal this time from Shannon Stewart with 3:10 left in the game. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would play the Bativa Norte Dame Fighting in the North Country Cup from the Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh. The lack of numbers due to injury and the game the night before would help matters. The Cougars would fall to the Fighting Irish by a score of 7-2. Getting the two goals for the cougars would be Ryan Marks and Alex Duffy will Reece Tucker would have two assists. With the lose the Cougars fall to 6-4 on the season. Gallery

Saranac's Alex Sarazen (15) with the hit along the broads on the Churchville-Chilli defender. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Churchville-Chilli in the North Country Cup at the Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh. Churchville would get three goals in the first period and not look back from there. Churchville would take a 4-0 lead 8 minutes into the second period. Dylan Baker would get the Chiefs on the broad with a goal with under a minute left in the period. Although before time would expire Churchville would score again to make it 5-1 after the second period. In the third period, Churchville would score in the opening minute to make it 6-1. Then in final 30 seconds of the game, the Chiefs would get two goals from Jacob Lilledahl and Matt McCasland to make it a 6-3 Churchville win. In the lose Zach LaReau would stop 37 of 43 shots as the Chiefs fall to 2-11. The Chiefs will look to regroup when they get back into sectional play next week. Gallery

The Hornets would get the opening goal 8:40 into the first on Jack Tolosky's goal to make it 1-0. The Hornets would make it 2-0 on a power-play goal from John Anthony Fine Lease. The Huskies would get on the broad in the last two minutes of period Trevor Cooley's goal to make it 2-1 Hornets after the first. The Huskies tie up right off in the second period at two. The Huskies would take the 3-2 lead on Trevor Henderson's goal at 4:32 of the second period. The Huskies would make it 4-2 Jake Hennings's goal at 6:42. Then in the eight-minute, the Huskies would strike twice on goals from Cole Depuy and Tanner Studlack to make it 5-3 Huskies after the 2nd period. In the third period, the Hornets would get back within J.D. Side's goal at 5:21. Then tie it up with four minutes remaining om Devin Clarke's goal to send the game to overtime. In the overtime, the Huskies would make it enjoyable bus ride back as Tanner Studlack would score at 2:53 of the extra frame for the 6-5 win. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oneonta State Red Dragons in SUNYAC Basketball. The Cardinals would have a huge lead that they would see a slow start to go away although they would hold on for the victory. The Cardinals would have a 40-33 lead at the break. The Dragons would stay close throughout the second half as both teams would have 42 points each. As the Cardinals would hang on for the 85-79 victory. In the winning effort, Shamony McIntosh would have 18 points as the Cardinals go to 10-5 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Devin Barnes (33) reaches fully for the rebound over Brushton-Moria's Alex Burnett (5) along the sidelines. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in section ten basketball action between to longtime rivals. The game would get very physical with many fouls called throughout the game even a couple injury timeouts were needed but what else would you expect with rivals. When the first quarter would come to end the Bulldogs would hold a slim 12-11 lead. In the second quarter it would be more of the same and the Bulldogs would have a 26-20 lead at the break. The Panthers would come out fired up and trim the Bulldogs lead to 39-38 headed to the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Panthers would actually take a four-point lead with four minutes to play but the Bulldogs would have a fifteen point swing and cruise to the 60-49 win A key factor in the Bulldogs win would be that made 23 free throws. Leading the way in victory for the Bulldogs would be Noah Bowes with 24 points as the Bulldogs go to 8-3 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Catilin Miller (21) slices through the defense and takes the shot off the window for the basket. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Potsdam Sandstoners in non league action. The game would see the Bulldogs pretty much control the game until the whole game until the fourth quarter when the Sandstoners would step up there full court defense. The Bulldogs would have the slim 9-6 lead after the first quarter. The Bulldogs would keep up the tempo as they would have a 23-17 lead at the break as they would win the quarter 14-11. Then when the teams came back for the third quarter the Bulldogs would win the quarter 13-7 and take a 36-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth the Sandstoners would step up there full court defense and force bulldogs into many turnovers and the Sandstoners would win the 17-11 but the Bulldogs would hold on to the 47-41 victory. In the winning effort Courtney Boyea and Mikalya Fleury would lead the way ten points each for the Bulldogs as the go to 6-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Luke Baleshta (23) sends the puck in the back of the net and the fans home happy with the game-winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Williams Ephs in a non-conference contest. Williams would take the 1-0 lead on Nick Anderson's goal at 11:29 of the first period. That is where the game would remain until the 7:30 mark of the second period when Preston Kaye would get the tying goal on the power play to make it 1-1. Then Ephs would get two goals in just under a minute between the 8:30 and 9:30 mark from Nick Anderson and Peter Mistretta to make it 3-1 Ephs. Then with under three minutes left in the second the Ephs would get a power-play goal from Matt Doyle to make it 4-1 Ephs after two periods. Then just a 1:18 into the third period the Cardinals would start there comeback on Kevin Emmerling's goal to make it 4-2. Then with five minutes left in third Barry Roytman would score to make it 4-3 with the extra attacker. Then just a 1:19 later the comeback would be complete as Kevin Emmerling would light the lamp and send the game into overtime. In that overtime, Luke Baleshta would send the home crowd home happy with the winner when he knocked in the rebound with twenty seconds left. In the winning effort Sam Foley would stop all seven shots he faced in relief as the Cardinals go to 11-5-1 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Mark Constatine would get the scoring started int the opening minute of the game to make it 1-0 Cardinals. Then in the eighth minute of the first minute, it would be 2-0 Cardinals on Andrew Smith's goal. Then in the last 1:30, the Panthers would score to make it 2-1 after the first period. Then 3:30 into the second period the Cardinals score again on Michael Cassidy's goal to make it 3-1. Then at 15:45 of the second Max Babalan would get the first goal to make it 4-1 Cardinals. Then Jared Dockings would score on the shorthand with 2:10 remaining in the period as the Cardinals take a 5-1 lead after two periods. Then in the 13th minute of the third Max Babalan would score again to make it 6-1. The scoring would end in the 18th minute on Preston Kayne's goal. With the Cardinals would get the 7-1 win. Malone's Megan O'Connor battles for the defensive rebound underneath the hoop. The Malone Huskies would host the Potsdam Sandstoners in Section X Central Division action. The game would be tight through the first quarter before the Huskies would cruise to a 63-35 win. The Huskies would have the slim 12-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Huskies would out score them 11-7 and take the 23-16 lead at the break. Then in the third quarter the Huskies would start to pull away as they would win the quarter 16-11 to take the 39-27 lead into the fourth. Then in the fourth the Huskies would step up the tempo and win the quarter 24-8 and get the 63-35. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Salmon River Shamrocks in section ten action. The game would get very physical at times as both teams would be on edge with the rivalry. The game would be tied at nine after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bulldogs would win it by the slightest margin 12-10 and take a 21-19 lead into the break. As the teams would come out for the second half the Shamrocks would win the third quarter 16-12 and have the 35-33 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter the Shamrocks would pull away as they would win the quarter 17-9 and get the 52-43 victory. As the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #5 Norwich Cadets in non-conference action. The Cadets would take the early lead on Kayla Parson's power play goal at 5:46 of the first period. That is where the game would remain until the 10 minute mark of the second periods when the Cadets would connect on Tori Charron goal to make it 2-0 Cadets. Then with just 11 seconds remaining in the 2nd periods the Cardinals would get on the board with Shannon Stewarts power play goal. Then just a minute and half into the third period the Cardinals would tie it up on Teal Groves goal to make it 2-2. Then in the 13th minute of the third the Cardinals would take the lead on Ali Vakos goal to make it 3-2. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would strike again on Mia Favretto's goal to close out the Cadets and take the 4-2 win. In the winning effort Sydney Aveson would stop 14 of 16 shots. Beekmantown's Keenan Carter (22) with the goal on the top shelf on the short side. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Guilderland Dutchmen in non-league action. The Eagles would score twice in the first eight minutes of the game with the second goal coming from Cole Carter assist to Brandon Buksa and Nathan Foster. Then in the last two minutes of the period the Eagles would strike two more times on goals from Nathan Foster and Austin Bradish as the Eagles take a 4-0 lead after the first period. Guilderland score just 45 seconds into the period John Dombrowski to make 4-1. Then the Eagles would strike twice in seconds on goals from Austin Bradsish (2nd of the night) and Kyle Bisonette. Then just two minutes later Nathan Foster scores again for his second of the night to make it 7-1 Eagles. Then two minutes after that Ely Giroux scores to make it 8-1. Then in the ninth minute Kyle Bissonette scores his second of the night to make it 9-1. The Eagles would strike again in the tenth minute to make it 10-1 on Tanner Roser's goal. The last goal of the period would come in the last minute on Cameron Giroux to make it 11-1 after two periods. In the third period the Eagles would twice on goals on goals from Seth Holder and Brantley Marion. With the game would come to an end and the Eagles would get the 13-1 victory to improve to 6-2 on the season. In the winning effort Dustin Plummadore would stop 7 of 8 shots on net. Gallery

Chateaugay's Noah Bowes (32) lays it up of the window in the mist of heavy track for the basket for two of his thirteen points. The Chateaugay Bulldogs host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in section ten action. The game would be a rematch of last years section ten class d championship game and it would deffenately live up to the billing. The game would get very physical at times. When the first quarter would come to end they would be tied 7-7. In the second quarter the Bulldog defense would step as they would win the quarter 16-9 and take the 23-16 lead into the locker room. When the teams would return for the third quarter the intenity would remain and the Bulldogs would remain and the Bulldogs would get the quarter 14-9 and take the 37-25 into the fourth. In the fourth quarter the offenses would come alive and the Yellow Jackets would get it 22-19 but the Bulldogs would hold on for the 56-47 victory. In the the winning effort Devan Barnes would lead the way with fifteen points as the Bulldogs improve to 6-3 on the season. Gallery

Saranac would open up the scoring in first on Matt Macasland's goal assist to Kyle Erickson. The Huskies would tie it up on Kyle Head's goal 1-1. Saranac's Matt Macsland would give the Chiefs back the lead at 2-1 at the eight minute mark on his second of the night assist going to Kyle Erickson. The Chiefs would go up by 2 with 3 minutes left in the first on Nick Uilva's goal assist to Alex Sarazen. The Huskies would get it back within one in the last minute of the first on Tanner Studlacks goal assist to Cameron Daniels to make it 3-2 after the first. Then just three minutes into the second Studlack and Daniels would connext again to make it 3-3. Then in the ninth minute of the second period Chiefs would regain the lead on Jacob Lillehadel's goal with assist going to Kyle Erickson and Tristin Archambault. The Huskies would tie it up two minutes later on the Bailey Conklin goal with assist going to Kelsey Head and Tanner Studlack. to make it 4-4. Then with two minutes left in the 2nd period the Huskies would score two goals in 58 seconds by Kyler Head and Cameron Daniels to make it 6-4. Then with three minutes left in the third the Chiefs made the end interesting on Matt Macsaland third goal of the night to finish off the hat trick with assist going to Kyle Erickson and Jacob Lillehadl as the Huskies get the 6-5 win. Both goalies would still stop plenty of shots as Malone's Joey Brown stop 34 while Saranac's Zach LaReau stops 31. With the win the Malone Huskies go to 5-1-1 on the season and the Saranac Chiefs fall to 2-5-1. Gallery
