It would be another classic rival game as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the crosstown Beekmantown Eagles at the high school gymnasium. The Eagles would get off to a flying start and take a 19-10 advantage through the first quarter. In the second quarter, it would be a moe eventually match defensive quarter as the Eagles would win the quarter 9-8 and take a 28-18 lead into intermission. When the teams came back from the break the Eagles would be hammer down and expand the lead and start to but the game away with a 14-5 quarter and have a 42-23 lead into the final stanza. In the final stanza, the Hornets would do their best to stay with the Eagles but that's all they could do as they would win the quarter 11-10 but the win would go to the Eagles at 53-33. In a losing effort, Liam Perkins for the Hornets would lead all scorers with fifteen points. Next up for the Hornets would be a road tilt against Northeastern Clinton while the Eagles also will have their next game against Northeastern Clinton but not till Friday, March 12th. Gallery

Beekmantown's VanNatten goes up and under the defender and lays in the basket with the scoop. It would be another classic rival game as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the crosstown Beekmantown Eagles at the high school gymnasium. It would be the classic section vii rivalry as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Knighthawks in Boy's Basketball action. It would be a game that you could tell was an early-season tilt as the offense would have some miscues and the Hornets would have a low scoring 12-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the scoring would even be less as the defenses would step up as the Knighthawks would win the quarter at 5-4 but the Hornets would still have the lead at 16-10 at the half. When the teams would come back for the third quarter it would be tight with some extra scoring as the Hornets would win the quarter at 10-9 and extend their lead to 26-19. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would get hot and pull away with an 18-9 quarter and secure the 44-27 victory. In the winning effort, Carter King would lead the way with 14 points and will be back in action Wednesday against Northeastern while Peru will be at home against Northern Adirondack. Gallery

Plattsburgh's (40) slices down the paint through a pair of defenders for the hoop. Chateaugay's Chad Slalter (23) with the tight defense on Madrid-Waddington's Colin O'Bryan (30) to stop the drive to the hoop. The Chateaugay Bulldogs host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in section ten action. The game would be a rematch of last years section ten class d championship game and it would deffenately live up to the billing. The game would get very phyiscail at times. When the first quarter would come to end they would be tied 7-7. In the second quarter the Bulldog defense would step as they would win the quarter 16-9 and take the 23-16 lead into the locker room. When the teams would return for the third quarter the intenity would remain and the Bulldogs would remain and the Bulldogs would get the quarter 14-9 and take the 37-25 into the fourt. In the fourth quarter the offenses would come alive and the Yellow Jackets would get it 22-19 but the Bulldogs would hold on for the 56-47 victory. In the the winning effort Devan Barnes would lead the way with fifteen points as the Bulldogs improve to 6-3 on the season. Gallery

NYSPHSAA Boy's Basketball #11 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers February 4 2013

Chateaugay's Matt Swanston (11) wins the opening tip of the game with the tip forward to start the offense. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in Section X East Division action as part of Senior Night. The Bulldogs would get off to a quick start as they would have a 21-5 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter they would outscore the Panthers 23-3 and take a 44-8 lead at intermission. In the second half it would be more of the same as the Bulldogs would score the Panthers 17-3 and cruise to the 61-11 victory. In the winning effort Devin Barnes would lead the way with 10 points. Coach Mike mMartin would like to thank all the senoirs for the time and commitment to the program over the years. With the win the Bulldogs go to 13-4 on the season.Gallery

Section NYSPHSAA Boy's Basketball 7/10 Challenge Malone Huskies Vs Peru Indians January 14th 2017

Peru's Jon Martin (4) takes flight down the lane and lays it off the window for the score. It would be the third game of the Section 7/10 Challenge as the Malone Huskies would face off with the Peru Indians. The Huskies would job out to the 21-14 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the second half the Indians would claw the whole way and win the half 36-29 and force overtime tied at 50. In that overtime period, Malone would win it 9-4 and secure the 59-54 victory. With the loss the Peru Indians fall to 4-8 while Malone goes to 6-7 on the season. Gallery

It would be a showdown of the top two teams in Section VII Class B as the #1 Saranac Chiefs would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles at the SUNY Plattsburgh Fieldhouse for the right to go to the New York State Class B Tournament. The game would start off good for the #1 Chiefs as they would race out to the 17-7 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Chiefs would keep their foot on the pedal and have a 18-6 quarter and cruise out to a 35-13 lead at the break. When the teams would return for the third quarter the Eagles would do there best to get back into the game as they win the quarter 18-14 but that would only trim into margin as the Chiefs still lead 49-31. In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs would stretch there lead back out with an 18-12 quarter and cruise to the 67-43 victory. In the winning effort, the Saranac Chiefs clinch the Class B Championship and head to the New York State Quarterfinals on March 14th at Beekmantown High School. Gallery

The Saranac Chiefs gather as they receive a there sectional trophy. It would be a showdown of the top two teams in Section VII Class B as the #1 Saranac Chiefs would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles at the SUNY Plattsburgh Fieldhouse for the right to go to the New York State Class B Tournament. #1 Moriah Vikings Vs #2 Ausable Valley Patriots - High School Boys Basketball - March 7th 2020

The Moriah Vikings pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2019 Section VII Class C Champions and there ninth straight title. It would be the Section VII Class C Finals and it would be the top-seeded and number 1 in the State Moriah Vikings going against the #2 seeded Ausable Valley Patriots from the SUNY Plattsburgh Fieldhouse. The game would start off good for the upset-minded Ausable Valley Patriots as they would storm out to a 17-11 lead after the first quarter. Although the Vikings wouldn't let that stand and they would make a comeback with a 16-9 quarter for a 27-26 lead at the break. Although the end of the half would not come without a little drama as Luis Perez would half-court shot as the horn sounded to cut it to one. When the team's comeback for the third quarter so would the Vikings offense as they would run with a 20-10 quarter and have a 47-36 lead head into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Vikings would let up with the big lead and win the quarter 12-9 for the 59-45 victory. With the win, the Moriah Vikings clinch there 9th straight Section VII Title and head to the state tournament and take on the Madrid Waddington Yellow Jackets from Section X. Gallery.
