Plattsburgh's Jordan Caldwell (27) cuts in front of the net and slides it past the goalie for the Cardinal goal. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Neumann Knights in ECAC West action. The game would remain scoreless until 16:36 Giovanna Senese would light the lamp to make it 1-0 Cardinals on the breakaway. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would make it 2-0 thanks to Julia Duquette's goal. Then in the second period Ali Vakos would strike twice to make it 4-0 Cardinals after two periods. Then in the third period the Cardinals would finish it off with three goals from Bridget Balisy, Jordan Caldwell, and Alyssa Parke for the 7-0 win. In the winning effort Sydney Aveson would keep her shutout streak alive now at 9 straight games with 11 saves on the day as the Cardinals go to 8-0 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Sydney Aveson (33) with the glove save in traffic for one her sixteen saves on the day. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host Castleton State in home opener. The lone goal in the game would come from Cardinals Alyssa Parke at 3:49 on the second period to give the Cardinals the 1-0 win. In the winning effort Cardinals Sydney Aveson would stop all sixteen shots for the shutout at the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Teal Gove (16) put the puck over the top of St. Norbert's Kelly Gibson for one of her two goals on the night as part of the a three point game. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #8 St. Norbert Knights in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals would get the on the broad early when Teal Gove would score just 3 minutes into the game. Then with just three seconds left in the first Chelsea VanGlahn would score in the open night to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead after the first. Then with just over 5 minutes remaining in the second period Teal Gove would get her second goal of the game. The with just under two minutes left in the second period Shannon Stewart would score to give the Cardinals a 4-0 lead heading into the third. In the third period St. Norbert's would get on the broad two to make it 4-2 and make it a game down the stretch. Then with just over three minutes left in the game Emma Rutherford would score to put the icing on game and advance the Cardinals to the Frozen Four. In the winning effort Stdney Aveson would stop 13 of 15 shots. With the win the Cardinals go to 26-0-2 and advance to the Frozen Four next weekend in Minnesota where they will take on rival Middlebury. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2012-2013 ECAC West Tournament Champions. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host rival Elimra Soaring Eagles in the ECAC West Tournament Championship at the Plattsburgh State Field House. The Soaring Eagles would get the early lead on Tannis Lamoureux goal at the 2:36 mark of the first period. The Cardinals would tie the game up at 13:36 of the first period when Jenny Kistner's power play goal. Elimra would take the lead back at 4:35 of the second period Olivia Nystrom's goal. The Cardinals would tie it up again with 10 seconds left in the second period on Ali Vakos goal. Then at 11:32 of the third period Teal Gove would give the Cardinals there first lead of the night. Then just two minutes later the Cardinals would ectend the lead to 4-2 on Chelsea VanGlahn goal. As the Cardinals would get the 4-2 win Sydney Aveson would stop 22 of 24 shots on the night. With the win the Cardinals go to 25-0-2 on the season. With the win the Cardinals get the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament and will wait and see who they play in the Quarterfinals. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Giovanna Senese (20) slides in front of the Utica goalie trying to slide it under the goalie's pads. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Utica Pioneers in ECAC-West women's hockey. The Cardinals get off to a quick start when Teal Gove would score just 18 seconds in to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Pioneers would answer back at 8:18 of the first when Brittany Dellechiaie scores to tie the game at 1. Then just 1:38 into the second period the Pioneers would take a 2-1 lead on Mary Fusco's power-play goal. The Pioneers would take a 3-1 lead at 3:58 of the second period when Louise Steele Norton scores. That is where the game would remain until the 7:58 of the third period when the Cardinals would cut the deficit to one on Chelsea VanGlahan's goal. Then with 4:30 left in the game, Shannon Stewart would tie the game up for the Cardinals at three. The teams would go to the overtime and nothing would be resolved and the times would get a draw. With the draw, Sydney Aveson would stop 13 of 16 shots as the Cardinals go to 19-0-2. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Morgan MacInnis (13) battle through the Elmira skater for the puck in the neutral zone. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host ECAC-West conference foe Elmira Soaring Eagles The game would be very physical at times as both teams were looking for the upper hand in the conference standings. The Cardinals would get the early lead on Allison Era's goal in the first minute of the game. The Cardinals would take the 2-0 lead on Andrea Zeismann's power-play goal at the ten-minute mark of the first. Then in the last 1:30 of the period, Elmira would get on the broad with Sam Curk's goal to make it 2-1 Cardinals after the first period. That is where the game would remain until Alyssa Parke would score at the 11:15 mark of the second period to make it 3-1 after the second period. Then in the third period, the Cardinals would get one more goal this time from Shannon Stewart with 3:10 left in the game. In the winning effort, Sydney Aveson would stop 21 of 22 shots as the Cardinals stay undefeated on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Emma Rutherford (26) takes the shot to the high side. It would be a match up of two of the top 5 teams in the nation. As the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #5 Norwich Cadets in non-conference action. The Cadets would take the early lead on Kayla Parson's power play goal at 5:46 of the first period. That is where the game would remain until the 10 minute mark of the second periods when the Cadets would connect on Tori Charron goal to make it 2-0 Cadets. Then with just 11 seconds remaining in the 2nd periods the Cardinals would get on the board with Shannon Stewarts power play goal. Then just a minute and half into the third period the Cardinals would tie it up on Teal Groves goal to make it 2-2. Then in the 13th minute of the third the Cardinals would take the lead on Ali Vakos goal to make it 3-2. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would strike again on Mia Favretto's goal to close out the Cadets and take the 4-2 win. In the winning effort Sydney Aveson would stop 14 of 16 shots.
