Lake Placid's Sebil Cecunjanin (2) rises up on the breakaway and lays it off the window for the score. It would be a matchup inside the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference at Seton Catholic as the Knights would be hosting the Lake Placid Blue Bombers in Boy's Basketball action. The Blue Bombers would come out hot and have the 15-12 lead on the road after the first quarter. However, the home Knights would keep fighting in the second quarter and take the slim 24-23 lead into the intermission on the strength of a 12-8 quarter. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Knights would get their shot going as they would double up the Blue Bombers with a 14-8 quarter and take a 38-31 lead into the 4th quarter. In that fourth quarter, the teams would be very evenly matched and the Knights would get the slim quarter win at 10-9 and secure the 48-40 win for the Knights. In the winning effort, the Knights go to 4-10 on the season and their next matchup will be with the Peru Knighthawks while the Lake Placid Blue Bombers will fall to 4-10 and take on Newcomb next. Boys Soccer - Lake Placid Blue Bombers vs E-Town - Westport Griffins 10-09-15 - Highlights

Lake Placid Blue Bomber and the Elizabethtown-Lewis/Westport Griffins ends in a draw 1-1, in Section 7 Boys Soccer. Eric Montana, 16, for Lake Placid scored at 13:27 into the game, no assist was a direct kick; ELW lone goal was by #9 Joel Morris, also no assist and also was on a direct kick at 14:42 in the 1st. In the 2nd half, both teams would fight it out until it was too dark to play overtime and a draw was declared. The Griffins had 7 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, and 5 saves; while the Blue Bombers had 7 shots on goal, 2 corner kicks and 5 saves. The highlights are coming soon. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Lake Placid Blue Bombers in the Regional finals. There would be four games that would be needed to determine the winner. In the end, the Bulldogs would get the three 3-1 win by a score of 25-13, 25-22, 24-26, and 25-10. The Bulldogs would come in and put their best foot forward and show why they were the section 10 champions. The Bulldogs would get the straight-sets victory to advance to the Quarterfinals. The scores of the three games would be 25-18, 25-13, and 25-20. With the win, the Chateaugay Bulldogs go to 20-1 on the season and will play Lake Placid for the right to go to the final four. Lake Placid Blue Bombers would shutout the Elizabethtown/Westport Griffins with a 2-0 win in MVAC action. In the first half, Ryan Damp (10) - Blue Bombers - scored at 33:06 assisted by Stuant Baird (11). In the second half the Blue Bombers would add on one more goal by Conor Garrett (4) at 65:40 assisted by Jiaso Hanauia (3). The Griffins would have 12 shots, 17 saves, 3 corner kicks, 6 fouls and 1 offsides. The Blue Bombers would get 18 shots, 9 saves, 9 corner kicks, 9 fouls and 2 offsides.

The #1 Lake Placid Blue Bombers would lock horns with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles with the Section VII title on the line. The Blue Bombers would get the first goal of the game at the 13:21 mark of the first on Chris Williams's goal to make it 1-0 Blue Bombers. The game would stay there till 8:17 of the second period when Connor Preston would score for the Blue Bombers and make it a 2-0 lead. The Eagles would get on the board at the 12:27 mark of the second on Nathan Foster's goal to cut the defect to 2-1. The game would stay there till the 2:51 mark of the third when Nathan Foster would have his second of the game to tie the game at 2. Beekmantown's Matt LaClair would give the Eagles the 3-2 lead with the wrister from the left faceoff circle at 10:35. The Eagles would extend the lead to 4-2 on Josh Barriere wrister through the screen. Then just 25 seconds later Nathan Foster would finish off the hat trick and secure the 5-2 victory. In the winning effort, Dustin Plumadore would stop 20 on the night as the Eagles advance to New York State Tournament and take on Pelham. Gallery
