Plattsburgh's Michael Cassidy would get the home Cardinals on the broad first at 6:31 of the first period to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Alex Benton's goal at the 9:43 mark. The Yellow Jackets would cut the lead in half at 12;57 of the first period when Anton Stevenson would light the lamp to make it 2-1. The Cardinals would extend the lead back to two just over a minute into the second when Dillan Fox would score to make it 3-1. The game would stay there until the last minute of the game when Alex Jensen would add an empty netter to secure the Cardinals 4-1 victory.
