The Malone Huskies would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in Section X Division II action it would be Senior Night in Malone. The game would remain scoreless until the 8:14 mark of the second period when Malone's Tanner Studlack would light the lamp on the power play goal. The Huskies would score again on the power play at 12:46 of the second period when Cameron Daniels gets the goal. That would end the scoring for the night as the Huskies get the 2-0 win. The key to the Huskies win would be there ability to score on the power play. With the win the Huskies finish the regular season at 8-11-1. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet the Wisconsin-Superior Yellow Jackets in the semi-finals of the 16th edition of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout in Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh's Michael Cassidy would get the home Cardinals on the broad first at 6:31 of the first period to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Alex Benton's goal at the 9:43 mark. The Yellow Jackets would cut the lead in half at 12;57 of the first period when Anton Stevenson would light the lamp to make it 2-1. The Cardinals would extend the lead back to two just over a minute into the second when Dillan Fox would score to make it 3-1. The game would stay there until the last minute of the game when Alex Jensen would add an empty netter to secure the Cardinals 4-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Michael Radisa (28) battles for the puck in traffic along the end wall. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Brockport State Golden Eagles in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead five minutes in on Kevin Emmerling's goal. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Mark Constantines' goal at the ten-minute mark. That is where the game would stay until three minutes into the second period when Michael Radisa's goal to make it 3-0 Cardinals. That is where the game would stay until the third period when the Cardinals would get three goals coming from Mark Constantine, Dillon Fox and Kevin Emmerling to finish off the Golden Eagles for the 6-0 win. Plattsburgh State's Connor Gorman (11) rides Geneseo's Jack Caradonna (7) into the broads on the check. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Ice Knights in SUNYAC action. The game would start good for the Cardinals Barry Rotyman would light the lamp to make it 1-0 Cardinals just four minutes in on the power play. The Cardinals would add another special teams goal this time shorthanded as Michael Radisa would make it 2-0 Cardinals with 26 seconds left in the first. When the teams came out for 2nd period the Cardinals didn't let up as Kevin Emmerling would score two minutes in to make it 3-0. Then at the nine-minute mark the Knights would get on the broad with Stephen Collins goal to make it 3-1. Then with 4:30 left in the second period Barry Rotyman would get his second of the net to secure the 4-1 victory. The #5 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in the season and SUNYAC opener. In the battle of fellow north country rivals there would be times the would get physical and chippy at times. The game would remain scoreless until the 41 seconds into the second period when Nick Jensen would score on the power play to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just three minutes later when Patrick Hermans would score his collegiate goal. Then 4:23 into the third period Dillon Fox would add one more to give the Cardinals the 3-0 victory. In the winning Mathieu Cadieux would have 14 saves for the shutout victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals at the Ronald B Stafford Memorial Arena. The game would remain scoreless until just 27 seconds into the second period when Dillan Fox would light the lamp to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. Plattsburgh State's Jared Dockings would score at the 13:08 mark of the second period to make it 2-0. Then with just under two minutes left in the second Kaz Iwanmotto would make it 2-1 at the end of the second period. Then just 53 seconds into the third Mark Constantine would score on the power play to make it 3-1. Then at 3:53 Alex Jensen would score on the same power play to make it 4-1 Cardinals. Then with 43 seconds left in third Connor Gorman would add the empty netter to give the Cardinals the 5-1 victory. In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux would stop 22 of 23 shots on the night as the Cardinals go to 19-6-1 on the season. The #9 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC hockey action. Plattsburgh State's Alex Brenton would give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead at the 10:37 mark of the first. That is where the game would remain until the 1:56 mark of the second period when the Red Dragons would tie it up on Adam Bevilacqua's goal. Plattsburgh State's Alex Brenton would light the lamp again at 10:56 mark of the second period to make it 2-1 Cardinals. The Cardinals would get two more goals in the third period from Connor Gorman and Kevin Emmerling to finish the game and get the 4-1 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the fellow North Country foe the Potsdam State Bears in SUNYAC action. The game would be very hotly contested as they would try to decide who was the best in the North Country. The Cardinals would get the opening goal at 5:46 of the first from Dillan Fox to make it 1-0 Cardinals. That is where the game would remain until the 5:07 of the second period when Nick Jensen would get the short-handed goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Michael Cassidy would make it 3-0 for the Cardinals on his goal at 8:50 of the second period. Then with 1:30 left in the second period, Dillan Fox would get his second goal of the night to make it 4-0 Cardinals. The Bears would eventually get on the broad at 3:42 of the third period when Dan McCamey would light the lamp. As the Cardinals get the 4-1 victory. NCAA Division III Men's Hockey #10 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #13 Williams Ephs Janaury 12th 2013

The Plattsburgh State team celebrates behind the net as they would get the game-winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Williams Ephs in a non-conference contest. Williams would take the 1-0 lead on Nick Anderson's goal at 11:29 of the first period. That is where the game would remain until the 7:30 mark of the second period when Preston Kaye would get the tying goal on the power play to make it 1-1. Then Ephs would get two goals in just under a minute between the 8:30 and 9:30 mark from Nick Anderson and Peter Mistretta to make it 3-1 Ephs. Then with under three minutes left in the second, the Ephs would get a power-play goal from Matt Doyle to make it 4-1 Ephs after two periods. Then just a 1:18 into the third period the Cardinals would start there comeback on Kevin Emmerling's goal to make it 4-2. Then with five minutes left in third Barry Roytman would score to make it 4-3 with the extra attacker. Then just a 1:19 later the comeback would be complete as Kevin Emmerling would light the lamp and send the game into overtime. In that overtime, Luke Baleshta would send the home crowd home happy with the winner when he knocked in the rebound with twenty seconds left. In the winning effort Sam Foley would stop all seven shots he faced in relief as the Cardinals go to 11-5-1 on the season. Gallery
