The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just three minutes later when Patrick Hermans would score his collegiate goal. Then 4:23 into the third period Dillon Fox would add one more to give the Cardinals the 3-0 victory. In the winning Mathieu Cadieux would have 14 saves for the shutout victory.
