The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be looking to right the ship against the Geneseo State Knights as they come in losing their last two games. Although the game would not start off very well for the Cardinals as would be trailing the Knights 23-2 after the first quarter. The Cardinals would start to get their shot going in the second quarter but it still wouldn't be enough as the Knights have a 28-11 quarter and take a 51-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned to the court for the third quarter the teams would be a lot more equal as the Knights would have the slim 16-15 advantage in the quarter and take the 67-28 lead into the 4th quarter. In the fourth, the teams would have their second strings out there in mop-up efforts and the Knights would have the 17-6 edge as they would get the 84-34 victory. In a losing effort for the Cardinals, Izzy Wilbur would lead the way for the Cardinals with 12 points as they go to 6-11 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Hannah Roberto (30) and Geneseo State's defender battle for the rebound under the basket. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be looking to right the ship against the Geneseo State Knights as they come in losing their last two games. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be back in action tonight against north country foe the St. Lawrence Saints in non conference action at memorial hall on the suny plattsburgh campus. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would be doubling up the Saints at the end of the first quarter with a 16-8 lead. Then in the second quarter the Saints would come charging back with a 19-10 quarter and have a slim 27-26 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals would find there shoot again with a 16-12 quarter and take the 42-39 lead into the final quarter. In the final quarter the Saints would find there shoot and have a slightly better quarter at 21-16 which would give the Saints the 60-58 win. In the losing effort a pair of Cardinals would lead all scores with fourteen points for Mya Smith and Hannah Ruberto as they go to 2-2 on the season. Gallery

It would start off tight but the Cardinals would have the slim lead after the first quarter with a 15-11 quarter. In the second quarter the game would stay the same with the Cardinals winning the quarter by a 16-14 margin and take a 31-25 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Golden Knights would keep up the fight to keep the game close and even cut into the defecit with a 22-18 quarter to 49-47 Cardinals as they head to the last quarter. In that final stanza the game couldn't get any closer as it would be a 12-12 quarter and the Cardinals would hold onto to the 61-59 victory. With the win the Cardinals would get there season started off right as they go to 1-0 and Bri Brousseau would lead the way with a 16 point night as the Golden Knights fall to 0-1 on the season. It would be the final regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would host the Brockport State Golden Eagles in SUNYAC Women's Basketball action. The game would not start off the greatest for the home Cardinals as the Golden Eagles would jump out to a 14-9 through the first quarter of the game. Then in the second quarter, the Golden Eagles started to pull away with a 21-14 quarter and take a 35-23 lead into the locker room. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Golden Eagles would really start to put the game away with a 13-1 quarter and take a 48-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Golden Eagles would put the final touches on the game with an 11-7 quarter and finish off the Cardinals with a 59-31 victory. As the Cardinals would fall to 7-16 on the season and Hope Sullivan would lead the way for the Cardinals with eight points. Gallery

Brockport State Golden Eagles @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 12th 2022

When the teams came back for the third quarter the Golden Eagles would really start to put the game away with a 13-1 quarter and take a 48-24 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Golden Eagles would put the final touches on the game with an 11-7 quarter and finish off the Cardinals with a 59-31 victory. It would be a low-scoring slow start to the game as the visiting Knights would have the 9-6 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the offensive would start to come and the Cardinals would lead the quarter 13-8 and take the slim 19-17 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be the same the defenses would be on display with the Knights winning the quarter 15-12 and taking the slim 32-31 lead into the final quarter. In that final quarter, the Knights would just shut down the Cardinals with a 13-3 quarter and win the game 45-34. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 7-15 on the season as Kayla Doddy would lead the way with ten points and they are back in action February 12th against the Brockport State Eagles. Gallery
