#1 Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs #2 Saranac Chiefs November 3 2013

Saranac's John Maye (26) breaks the tackle around the edge and takes it for one of four touchdowns on the day. In the second game of the championship, Saturday the Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet the Saranac Chiefs in the Class C Championship. Saranac Lake would have the only score in the first quarter on Dylan Gunther 11 yard touchdown reception with 3:06 left to make it 7-0 Red Storm. Then just 1:19 into the second quarter the Chiefs would tie the game up on John Maye's touchdown. Then just three minutes later Maye would strike again to make it 14-7 Chiefs. The Red Storm would answer back with 4:03 left in the half on a short field goal to make it 14-10. The Chiefs would extend there lead to 21-10 on John Maye's third touchdown of the day with 1:57 left before half. Saranac Lake would strike quick and make it 21-16 at the half on Dan Strack's touchdown. When the teams would return for the second half the Red Storm would take there first lead of the game at 3:50 of the third on a short touchdown run to give them 24-21 lead. That is where the score would remain until the Chiefs would retake the lead on John Maye's fourth touchdown of the day at 28-24 with 4:03 left in the game. Then with just 1 minute left in the game the Red Storm would get the game-winning touchdown to Dylan Gunther for the 30-28 win. With the win the Red Storm goes to 5-4 on the season and will play Ogdensburg in State Tournament first-round November 8th at Potsdam. Gallery

North Country's James Kanrley avoids the defender going for the flag and breaks it for the big run. Peabody's/Kneucraft and the North Country Rebels would meet in the last week of the regular season. The only scores of the game would come in the first half. The first score would be James Karnley on a rushing touchdown to give the Rebels the 7-0 lead. Then with just two minutes left in the half Alex Price would return the punt for the touchdown to give the Rebels the 14-0 lead and eventual win. Gallery

Mama's Boyz's Craig Livesy (4) with the pass break up on the deep ball. Mama's Boyz and Roto-Roters would meet in the last week of the regular season. Roto-Roters would take the 6-0 lead on Dexter Mcgoghean touchdown with two minutes left in the first half. That is where the score would remain until 3 minutes left in the game when Roto-Roters would make it 14-0 on Matt St. Clair's touchdown. Then Roto-Roters would put the game away on Chris Fish's interception touchdown. for the 20-0 victory. With the win Roto-Roters clinch the top seed in the playoffs. Gallery

Malinak Masonry's Pete Wheatly (7) with touchdown catch as he is walking backward. Malinak Masonry and Northeast Monsters would meet in the regular-season finale. Malinak would control the game from the start. As they would have three first-half touchdowns two from Pete Wheatley and for the 21-0 lead at the break. In the second it would be more of the same with scores from Clint McCool and Andrew Castine to secure the 42-0 victory. With the win the Malinaik Masonry would secure a bye in next week's playoffs. #5 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Potsdam State Bears November 1 2013

Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (34) keeps the puck out of the net with all the traffic around to keep the shutout intact. The #5 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in the season and SUNYAC opener. In the battle of fellow north country rivals there would be times the would get physical and chippy at times. The game would remain scoreless until the 41 seconds into the second period when Nick Jensen would score on the power play to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just three minutes later when Patrick Hermans would score his collegiate goal. Then 4:23 into the third period Dillon Fox would add one more to give the Cardinals the 3-0 victory. In the winning Mathieu Cadieux would have 14 saves for the shutout victory. With the win the Cardinals start of there seasons the right way at 1-0. Gallery

The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2013 Section X Class D Champions. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would play #2 Edwards-Knox Cougars in Section X Class D Championship at Massena High School. The Bulldogs would need four games to get the championship 25-16, 25-8, 19-25, 25-20. With the victory the Bulldogs have won there eight straight championships. Now they play the winner of Northern Adirondack and Lake in the State Tournament on November 6 at Massena High School. Gallery.

The Bulldogs would make quick work of them as they get the straight-set win 25-4, 25-8, 25-12. With the win the Bulldogs advance to the championship against Edwards-Knox. Gallery

Chateaugay's Josh Trombley (goalie) with the fingertip diving save on the Parishville-Hopkinton penalty kill. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers in the last regular-season game of the season. It would be a cold game with a steady win that would start spitting snow before the end. The two teams would definitely bring there best and it would get very physical and chippy out there. The Bulldogs would take the quick 1-0 in the 7th minute on Seth Young's goal. Then in the 13th minute the Bulldogs would extend there lead to 2-0 on Chad Stalter's penalty kick. Then in the 20th minute Wyatt Snell would score for the Panthers to try and get them back in it. From there on both teams would have their chances but that would end the scoring as the Bulldogs get the 2-1 win and go to 12-3-1 on the season. The Malone Huskies would host the Chateaugay Bulldogs in a battle that would have the best two teams in Section X's's action. This would be a five-setter that would have some very intense moments and the crowd was pulling for there teams. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would get the win over the Malone Huskies but they would need all five sets (25-18, 15-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-15). With the win the Bulldogs would finish there season undefeated at 16-0 while the Huskies fall to 13-2 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Grace Harrigan (33) meets Tupper Lake's Alexis Cassell at the net for the block and ball falls on Tupper Lake side for the point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in Section X East Division action. This would be the final home game of the regular season for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would end it in great fashion with the straight-sets victory 25-10, 25-14, 25-19. With the win the Bulldogs stay undefeated on the season at 15-0 as the end the season Tuesday against Malone. Gallery
