The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals in SUNYAC action. The game would be low scoring throughout the first thanks to tight defense on both sides. The Bengals would take the slim the 28-27 lead into the break. In the second half, the Cardinals would solve the Bengals defense as they would outscore them 44-32 in the second half and get the 71-60 victory. In the winning effort Brittany Marshall would lead the way 23 points as the Cardinals improve to 5-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jared Dockings (39) with the hard-hit along the broads that's takes the Norwich defender off his feet. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #1 team in the country the Norwich Cadets. It would be a very evenly contested match that would see some very skilled defending and hard-hitting throughout. Both teams would get their chances. The lone goal in the game would come at 14:15 mark of the 2nd period when Kyle Thomas would light the lamp on the power play. In the losing effort, Matthieu Cardieux would stop 26 of 27 shots on net and the Cardinals fall to 7-3-1 on the season. Their next match will come up against Wesleyan in the Cardinal Classic. St. Lawerence's Stephaine Peets (1) spares out and stops the puck with the blocker as Lake Placid's Samantha Barney (10) came in on the breakaway. The St. Lawerence Larries would host the Lake Placid Blue Bombers in Malone in Girls Hockey as part of the schools joined the team. The game would be a great competition as the two teams were evenly matched. The game would remain scoreless until 5 minutes into the second period when Lake Placid's Brooke Reid would light the lamp to give the Blue Bombers the 1-0 lead. That is where the game would remain until the last few seconds of the game when Lake Placid's Brooke Ried would score again in the empty net to secure the 2-0 win. With the lose the Larries fall to 0-3 on the season. In the losing effort, Stephaine Peets would have 26 saves. Gallery

Malone's Kody Mulverhil (3) with the reserve lay up underneath basket for the score. The Malone Huskies would open there Section X regular season against the Potsdam Sandstoners as both teams were looking to get off to a good start. The Huskies and Sandstoners would plat tight through the first quarter and the Huskies would hold a 15-10 after the quarter. In the second quarter, the Huskies would start out on an 8-0 and take that to a 27-17 lead at the break. In the third quarter, the Sandstoners would do there best to stat close but the Huskies would extend the lead to 38-26. In the fourth quarter, the Huskies athletes would just be too much for the Sandstoners and take the 55-35 victory. In the winning effort, Jon Dunleavy would lead the way with 15 points. With the win, the Huskies go to 3-0 on the early season. Gallery

Bobcat Shootout Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Lawerence Larries November 30 2012

Chateaugay's Noah Bowes (32) with the layup in the middle of traffic for the basket. The start of a new basketball season would bring a new start to Chateaugay basketball as Mike Martin would start his tender as the boys head basketball coach. The season would start as it always does with the Bobcat Shootout in Ellenburg as they would take on the St. Lawerence Larries. The Bulldogs would show there newest as they would trail 20-15 after the 1st quarter. Then in the second quarter they start to hit there groove as they would take a 36-35 lead at the break. The third quarter would be very even as the Larries would take the 48-47 lead into the fourth. In that fourth quarter though the Bulldogs would outscore the Larries 14-7 to get the 62-54 win. In that winning effort, Noah Bowes would lead all scorers with 33 points and the Bulldogs start the season at 1-0 after a very physical contest. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Melissa McIver (7) breaks in on the breakaway and slides the puck between the Bowdoin goalies legs for the score. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Bowdoin Polar Bears in non-conference action. The game would remain scoreless until the first minute of the second period when Allison Era would score to make it 1-0. Shannon Stewart would score just two minutes later for the Cardinals to make it 2-0. The Cardinals would add a third goal in the period on Melissa McIver goal to make it 3-0. With six minutes remaining in the second period, Bowdoin would get on the board to make it 3-1. Plattsburgh State's Allisa Parke would finish out the scoring with a goal at the eight-minute mark of the third period for the 4-1 victory. Sydney Aveson would stop 18 of 19 shots in the win that would improve the Cardinals to 5-0-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Chris Manning (5) flies through the air between two defenders for the basket for two of his eleven points on the day. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the York College Cardinals in the championship of the Cardinal Classic. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would take 41-32 lead at halftime. In the second half, the teams would play very even with the Cardinals holding onto the 77-70 victory to win the Cardinal Classic. Shannoy McIntosh and Chris Manning would lead the way with eleven points. With the win, the Cardinals go to 2-0 on the season.Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (34)with the kick save for one of his 22 saves on the evening. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC play. Plattsburgh State's Kevin Emmerling would get the scoring open at the 11:33 mark with the goal. Then just 11 seconds into the period Alex Brenton would score to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Then at the 6:44 mark of the second period, Kevin Emmerling would get his second goal of the night to make it 3-0 Cardinals. Then just three minutes later Nick Jensen would score to make it 4-0 Cardinals at the end of the second period. Then at the 7:05 mark of the third period, Kevin Emmerling would finish off the hat trick to make it 5-0 Cardinals and that's where the game would end. In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux would stop all 22 shots for the shutout victory. With the win, the Cardinals improve t0 4-0 in the early season. Gallery.

Chateaugay's Catilin Miller (21) with the spike at the net for the point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs and the Edwards-Knox Cougars would meet for the Section X Class D Championship at SUNY Canton. The Bulldogs would get the straight-set victories over the Cougars by scores of 25-9, 25-11, and 25-12. The Bulldogs would get great team play from everyone in the victory. With the win, the Bulldogs move onto the New York State Regionals where they will play Section 2 representative Hartford at SUNY Canton on November 10. The Bulldogs would also continue the undefeated season at 18-0. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jordan Coldwell (27) with the hard in close on the Chatham goalie. Jordan would have one goal during the game. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Chatham Cougars in ECAC-West action. The Cardinals would get the scoring start the 16:04 mark of the first period on the Shannon Stewart goal. The Cardinals would score again at 17:44 mark on Andrea Ziemann's goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals after the first period. Then in the second period Allison Era would get her first goal of the net at the 8:16 mark to make it 3-0 Cardinals. Then at the 13:26 mark, Breanne Bennett would make it 4-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would end the second scoring at the 15:19 mark on Jenny Kistner goal to make it 5-0 after the 2nd period. In the third period the flood gates would open as the Cardinals would light the lamp five times Jenny Kistner for her second of the game, Jordan Coldwell for the second goal of the game, Teal Gove would score as well. To cap off the period though Allison Era would score twice for the hat trick on the day. The Cardinals would outshoot the Cougars by a count of 81-3. With the win, the Cardinals go to 3-0-1 on the season. Gallery
