Plattsburgh State's Adam Wein (3) with the high step to avoid the tag by the Fredonia State pitcher to score. It would be the start of the final series of the season for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and they would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC Baseball action. The game would start off well for the home Cardinals as they would get the 3-0 lead in the third inning of the game led by Kornblau's rbi double. The game would stay there til the sixth inning when the Fredonia State Blue Devils would get on the board with a rbi single by Wentland. In the top of the seventh, the Cardinals would regain their three-run lead at 4-1 on the rbi single by Gonzalski. Then in the 8th inning, the Blue Devils would get it back to a two-run game at 4-2 on the Roach rbi single. However, the Cardinals would answer right back on a rbi double by Defayette to make it a 5-2 game and give the Cardinals the win. In the winning effort, Sean Malamud would win as he would go the complete game and scatter five hits giving up two runs and striking out four as the Cardinals went to 13-20 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Michelle Gonzalez (12) with the running catch in the outfield on the ball that tried to get over her head. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet up with the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC action as they are making the playoff stretch. The first game of the doubleheader would be a tight one but would go to the home Cardinals 4-3. They would enter the second game looking for the sweep on the day and would start off well as they would have a four-run first inning led by Julia Golino's RBI double. Then in the second inning, the Cardinals would add a pair of runs to extend their lead to 6-0 helped by Claire Palmer's rbi single. In the third inning, the Cardinal bats would stay hot and get two more runs and extend their lead to 10-0. In the fourth inning, the Cardinal bats would explode though as they would get six runs led by 2 runs sacrifice fly by Mikayla Manalo. The game would be called after the fifth inning due to the mercy rule as the Cardinals get the 16-0 win. In the winning effort, Julia Golino would get the complete game shutout as she scattered three hits on the day while striking out three as the Cardinals go to 18-6 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would contuine there homestand as they would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC play. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:14 mark of the first period when Jake Lanyi would find the back of the night for the 1-0 lead. That would be where the game would stay all the way til the 3:14 mark of the third period when Adam Tretowicz would find the net on a breakaway for the shorthanded goal and the 2-0 Cardinals lead. Then the Cardinals would add a third goal at the 12:09 mark of the period from Josh Belgrave for the 3-0 lead and that is where the game would finish. In the winning effort Eli Shiller would make 23 saves as they go to 4-1-2. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would open up the home portion of their SUNYAC season against the Fredonia State Blue Devils. The game would start off good for the home cardinals as they would have a 5-3 lead after the first quarter on the strength of goals by Fiona Fitzgerald, Davina Gyedu, Kate Kennedy, Emily Caoili, and Lindsay Guzzetta while Fredonia's Moly McGowan (twice, and Erin Woods. In the second quarter, the Cardinals would break the game open on the strength of a 4-0 quarter on goals from Caroline Noia, Emma McLaughlin, Davina Gyedu (second), Caitlin Nash for the 9-3 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the defenses would be on display as they would tie the quarter 2-2 with the Cardinal goals from Caroline Noia (second) and Jordan Kowalski but they would take the 11-5 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would win the quarter for a 14-7 win on goals from Lindsay Guzzetta (second), Emma McLaughlin (second), and Caroline Noia (third). In the winning effort the Cardinals go to 3-4 on the season as Lilla Nease and Johanna Malone would combine for 8 saves while Fredonia State falls to 0-7 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would come into the night looking for the sweep of western new york as they would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC Men's Hockey action. In the opening period of the game, the Cardinals would have an offensive outburst with five goals Joey Mancuso (twice), Jake Lanyl, Trey Thomas, and Bennet Stockdale. While the Blue Devils would do their best to keep it honest with a goal by Parker Brakebill for a 5-1 game after the first period. In the second period, the Cardinals would keep hitting as they would get two more from Brendan Young and Trey Thomas second of the night for a 7-1 game headed into the third. In that third period, there would be no stopping the Cardinals as they would have another outburst this time for 6 goals from Christian Difelice, Mitchell Hale, Jale Lanyl (second of the game), Jack Ring, Adam Tretowicz, Joey Mancuso to complete his hat trick and secure the 13-1 win. Plattsburgh State's Erik Salo (10) takes flight on the hard-charging layup and lays it in for a team-high 19 points. It would be the second game of the weekend for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and this time they would be playing the Fredonia State Blue Devils. Once again the Cardinals would be in a fight and it would be tight through the first half and the Cardinals would have a slim 38-37 lead at the break. In the second half, the Cardinals would do their best to pull away but they would come shortly as the Blue Devils would drain a three-pointer at the buzzer and the Cardinals would fall 76-75. In the losing effort, Erik Salo would lead the team with 19 points as they would fall to 2-14 on the season. Gallery
