The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet up with #13 Williams Ephs in a nonconference battle between the top 15 teams at the Feild House. The Ephs would take the quick 1-0 lead on Craig Kitto's goal just 1:17 into the first period. Then the Ephs would extend the lead to 2-0 Dan Doherty's goal at 9:23 of the first period. Then at the 12:38 mark of the first period, Craig Kitto would get his second of the night to make it 3-0 Ephs after the first period. Then at the 3:42 mark of the second period, the Ephs would pick up where they left off and Craig Kitto would finish off the hat trick to make 4-0 Ephs. Then at the 7:11 mark of the second period, David Itlianio would make it 5-0 Ephs. Then finally at 14:32 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would get on the board with Patrick Hermans to make it 5-1 Ephs. Although before the period ended the Ephs would regain the five-goal lead at 6-1 on Greg Johnson's goal. In the final period, the Cardinals would try to make a game of it as Patrick Hermans would score twice to make it 6-3 and finish of the hat trick. A couple of Plattsburgh State Cardinal scramble for the loose puck in front of the net. It would be the finals of the Buck Supply/WB Mason Cardinal Classic. It would be a battle of top 15 teams as the #7 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #15 Amherst Jeffersons. There would be no scoring throughout the game and overtime so the game went in the record books at 0-0 tie. Although because of the tournament there was shootout to determine the winner and the Jeffersons would get the 1-0 win. In losing effort Cardinal's Spencer Finney would be credited with the shutout stopping 31 shots as the Cardinals go to 10-2-1 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) comes and slides it by the goalie for the goal. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hamilton Continentals in the Buck's Supply Winter Classic Semi-Finals. It would take just half of the first period for the Cardinals' to get on the broad when Alex Brenton would get the goal at 10:52 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Hamilton's Michael Dimare would tie the game up 27 seconds left in the first period at 1-1. Hamilton would take the 2-1 lead on the power-play goal by Pat Curtis at 1:52 of the second period. The Cardinals would tie the game up at 2 at 7:24 on Kyle Hall's breakaway goal. Then at 10:43 of the second the Cardinals would take the 3-2 lead thanks to Alex Brenton's second goal of the night. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 4-2 on Dillan Fox's goal at 7:49 of the third period. Then to finish off the game Alex Brenton would score on the empty net to finish off the hat trick and the 5-2 win. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play #15 Middlebury in the Championship of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. The game would start well for the Cardinals as Connor Gorman would light the lamp 3:29 into the game to give the Cardinals the early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just over two minutes later on Dakota Mason's goal. Then with just under two minutes left in the period would add another one on Michael Radisa's goal to give the Cardinals the convincing 3-0 lead after the first period. That is where the game would stay until 11:12 of the third period when the Panthers would get their lone goal from Louis Belisle to make it 3-1. From there on the Cardinals would hold check to get the 3-1 victory and there 4th Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship. In the winning effort Matthieu Cardieux would make 20 saves and be named the MVP of the tournament. With the win the Cardinals stay undefeated at 8-0-1 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State team celebrates behind the net as they would get the game-winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Williams Ephs in a non-conference contest. Williams would take the 1-0 lead on Nick Anderson's goal at 11:29 of the first period. That is where the game would remain until the 7:30 mark of the second period when Preston Kaye would get the tying goal on the power play to make it 1-1. Then Ephs would get two goals in just under a minute between the 8:30 and 9:30 mark from Nick Anderson and Peter Mistretta to make it 3-1 Ephs. Then with under three minutes left in the second, the Ephs would get a power-play goal from Matt Doyle to make it 4-1 Ephs after two periods. Then just a 1:18 into the third period the Cardinals would start there comeback on Kevin Emmerling's goal to make it 4-2. Then with five minutes left in third Barry Roytman would score to make it 4-3 with the extra attacker. Then just a 1:19 later the comeback would be complete as Kevin Emmerling would light the lamp and send the game into overtime. In that overtime, Luke Baleshta would send the home crowd home happy with the winner when he knocked in the rebound with twenty seconds left. In the winning effort Sam Foley would stop all seven shots he faced in relief as the Cardinals go to 11-5-1 on the season. Gallery
