The Eagles would get the first goal of the game with seven minutes left in the first thanks to Dylan Shaprio to make it 1-0. The game would remain there until the last minute of the game when the eagles would add an empty netter from Hunter Laslo to secure the 2-0 win for the Golden Eagles. In the losing effort, Joshua Davies would make 24 saves as the Cardinals fall to 5-5 on the season. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Hockey Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #9 Geneseo State Knights December 9th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Joshua Davies (31) with the pad save on the low shot as part of a 27 save night. It would be a rematch of last year's SUNYAC championship as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would get two goals in the first period for the early 2-0 lead. In the early part of the second period, the Cardinals would get two quick goals from Aryton Valente Scuyker Seyfert to tie the game at two. The Knights would regain the lead at 3-2 n a Connor Anthonie goal. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game back up at three on Pat Egan's goal. Although the Knights would answer back 42 seconds later to regain the one-goal lead at 4-3. At the ten minute mark of the third period the Knights would extend there lead to 5-3. With just over six minutes left the Cardinals would make it a one-goal game at 5-4 on Gavin Yates's goal. The Cardinals would fight through the rest but it wouldn't be enough as they fall short 5-4. In the losing effort, Joshua Davies 27 saves as the Cardinals fall to 5-4 on the season. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Hockey #14 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Potsdam State Bears December 2nd 2016

It would be the battle of a couple of north country foes as the #14 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears in Sunyac play. In the opening period, the Bears would get on the board twice as they take a 2-0 lead after the first. In the second period, the Cardinals would fight back and tie the game in the second period with goals from Joe Drabin and Ross Sloan. In the third period the Cardinals offense with four goals from Matt Quality (twice)and Kyle Hall and Cam Owens to secure the 6-2 victory. In the winning effort, Joshua Davies would make 26 saves as the Cardinals go to 5-3.Gallery

It would be a top 10 matchup as rivals #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals host the #4 Oswego State Lakers in SUYAC play. The Lakers would take the 1-0 lead 11 minutes into the first period on David Ferriera goal. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at one Cole Stallard's goal at the 14-minute mark of the first. Then just over a minute later the Lakers would regain the lead at 2-1 on the powerplay goal from Andrew Barton. Then in the remaining two periods, the Lakers would get a single goal in each to secure the 4-1 victory. In the losing effort, Brady Rouleau would make 34 saves as the Cardinals fall to 3-2. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Gavin Yates (12) with the toe drag around the down defender for the shot on net. The #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC play. The Cardinals would get the 1-0 lead 6 minutes into the first with an Antoine Desyoners goal. The Red Dragons would tie the game on the Nico Gonazlez at the 12-minute mark. The Cardinals would regain there lead to 2-1 with 5 minutes left in the first on a power-play goal by Cole Stallard. The Red Dragons would tie the game up at 2 on Darren McCormick's goal at the 11-minute mark. In the final four minutes of the second period, Pat Egan gives the Cardinals the 3-2 lead on the power play. Then five minutes into the third period Kyle Hall scores for the Cardinals to give them a 4-2 lead. In the closing seconds of the game, the Red Dragons would get a goal as the Cardinals secure the 4-3 lead. In the winning effort, Brady Rouleau would make 24 saves on the night as the Cardinals go to 3-1 on the season. Gallery

SUNYAC Championship: #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #2 Geneseo State Knights March 5 2016

Plattsburgh State's Michael Radisa (26) whacks away at the puck in front of the net looking for the goal. It would be the top two seeds in the SUNYAC Championships as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would take the early advantage and not look back as they would have a 2-0 lead after the first period. In the second period, the Knights would add four more goals to have a 6-0 lead headed to the third period. In the third period, the teams would trade goals getting the lone Cardinal goal would be Nick Belger as the Knights would secure the 7-1 victory. In the losing effort, the Cardinals goaltenders would combine for 23 saves as the Cardinals go to 20-4-3 on the season and wait to see if they get an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Gallery

SUNYAC Semi-Finals: #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #4 Oswego State Lakers February 27th 2016

Plattsburgh State's Brady O'Quinn (27) crashes into the net hard and takes out the Oswego State goalie. It would be the classic rivalry this time in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Oswego State Lakers. It would take until the 8:15 mark of the second period until we would have a goal from Jesse Neher to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Lakers would get two goals in the remainder of the period to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead after two periods. The Cardinals Nick Belger would tie the game up at 2 at the 7:17 mark of the third period on a power play goal. Then the Cardinals would score again at the 10:09 mark from Dillan Fox to regain the lead at 3-2. Although the Lakers would get a late period goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. In that overtime Michael Radisa would score for the Cardinals at the 10:09 mark and give them the 4-3 win and send them to the SUNYAC Championship against Geneseo State. In the winning effort, Spencer Finney would make 26 saves on the night. Gallery

SUNYAC Men's Hockey #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #12 Geneseo State Knights February 20 2016

Plattsburgh State's Nick Belger (24) fights through the in-zone face-off and gets to the net. It would be the last regular-season game of the season and a battle of the top 2 SUNYAC teams as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #12 Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would get the opening goal of the game on a powerplay goal from Matt Solomann at 11:10 of the first period. The Cardinals would answer right back and tie it 1 18 seconds later on a Jesse Neher goal. Then at 13:29 of the first period, Stephen Collins would give the Knights the one-goal lead back. The Cardinals would tie the game back up again this time at two on Conor Gorman's goal at the 16:45 mark of the first period. The game would stay there all the way till the last minute of the second period when Patrick Hermans would score for the Cardinals to give them the 3-2 lead. Although the Knights would tie it at 3 in the first minute of the third period on a Pat Condon goal. The game would end up staying tied at three and the Cardinals would earn there the second tie of the weekend. In the effort, Spencer Finney would make 22 saves as the Cardinals go to 19-3-3 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Connor Gorman (11) with the shot in tight on the goalie looking for the go-ahead goal. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play host to the Brockport State Golden Eagles. The game would remain scoreless until the 1:59 mark of the second period when Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall would give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Eagles would soar back with two-goal in a three-minute span Adian Verbeke to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at 17:09 on Chris Taff's goal to make it 2-2. The Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 on the Dillan Fox goal. The Eagles would come back again and tie it at three on a Zack Slichick goal. They would go to overtime but there would be no change and the game would end in a three-all tie. Brady Rouleau would make 27 saves in the tie as the Cardinals go to 19-3-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Brandon O'Quinn (27) comes in on the breakaway and shoots just high of the net. The #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead at the 5:08 mark of the first period on a goal Ryan Chaisson. The Red Dragons would come right back and tie the game up at one just about 90 seconds later. The game would stay there till the 8-minute mark of the second period when Pat Egan would score on the power play to make it 2-1 Cardinals. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Luke Baleshetea's goal at 9"58 of the second. Then at the 12:44 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 5-1 on Mike Radisia's goal. Then at the 15:45 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would make it 6-1 on Nick Belger's goal. The game would stay there until the last second of the game when the Cardinals would score on Santino Ragone's power-play goal to secure the 7-1 victory. In the winning effort, Brady Rouleau would make 27 saves as the Cardinals go to 18-3-1 on the season. Gallery
