The game would start well for the Cardinals as Connor Gorman would light the lamp 3:29 into the game to give the Cardinals the early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just over two minutes later on Dakota Mason's goal. Then with just under two minutes left in the period would add another one on Michael Radisa's goal to give the Cardinals the convincing 3-0 lead after the first period. That is where the game would stay until 11:12 of the third period when the Panthers would get their lone goal from Louis Belisle to make it 3-1. From there on the Cardinals would hold check to get the 3-1 victory and there 4th Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship. In the winning effort Matthieu Cardieux would make 20 saves and be named the MVP of the tournament. With the win the Cardinals stay undefeated at 8-0-1 on the season. Gallery

The game would be tied at o after the 1st period. Then the Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead just two minutes into the 2nd period on the Eric Satim goal. Although the Cadets would answer right back to tie the game at 1 three minutes later. The Cadets would take the 2-1 8 minutes into the third. Then the Cardinals would score two goals in just over a minute from Nick Jensen and Matt Bessing to capture the title 3-2. Plattsburgh State's Dylan Clarke (24) put the puck up over the leg of the St. John's goalie for one of his two goals on the night. The game would turn into a shootout as the Cardinals would get the 7-4 win. The two teams would score early and often in the first period combining for 5 goals and the Cardinals would trail 3-2 on goals from Cody Adams and Dylan Adams. In the 2nd period, the Cardinals would get three unanswered goals to lead 5-3 on goals from Eric Satin, Vick Schlueter, and Patrick Jobbs. In the third period, the Cardinals would finish off the Johnnies for the 7-4 win on goals from Dan Sliasis & Dylan Clarke (2nd of the night). In the winning effort, John Leis would stop 22. Gallery

The #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals were upset by Morrisville State 3-2 for the home opener of the 2010-2011 hockey season. The downfall for the Cardinals would be that had a hard time staying out of the penalty box and the Mustangs capitalized with two power-play goals (2-8 on the night). Along with not being able to get there power play going as they went 1-9 on the night with the man up. The cardinals will home to get back on the right track next weekend as they will host Buffalo State and Fredonia. Gallery

Norwich would get on the board first just over five minutes into the first period. The score would remain 1-0 until the thirteen-minute mark of the second period when the Cardinals Andrew Willock tied the game at 1. Norwich would take the 2-1 lead into the final period when they scored in the final minute of the second period. Norwich would extend there lead to 3-1 eight minutes into the third. Mike Kavanagh would score for the Cardinals to make it 3-2 with six minutes setting up an exciting finish. Although the Cardinals would fall short 3-2 and their season would come to end for the Cardinals in the Final Four with a record of 19-6-4.Gallery
