In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would try there best but the teams would have an equal quarter and the Cardinals win the quarter 17-15 but Hamilton wins 76-61. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hamilton Continentals in the Buck's Supply Winter Classic Semi-Finals. It would take just half of the first period for the Cardinals' to get on the broad when Alex Brenton would get the goal at 10:52 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Hamilton's Michael Dimare would tie the game up 27 seconds left in the first period at 1-1. Hamilton would take the 2-1 lead on the power-play goal by Pat Curtis at 1:52 of the second period. The Cardinals would tie the game up at 2 at 7:24 on Kyle Hall's breakaway goal. Then at 10:43 of the second the Cardinals would take the 3-2 lead thanks to Alex Brenton's second goal of the night. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 4-2 on Dillan Fox's goal at 7:49 of the third period. Then to finish off the game Alex Brenton would score on the empty net to finish off the hat trick and the 5-2 win.
