In the second quarter, the teams would be deadlocked at 13 and the Sage Gators would take the 31-23 at the half, When the teams came back for the second half the Cardinals would win the third 21-16 although the Gators would still lead 47-44. In the fourth quarter, the defenses would step up and the Gators would win the quarter 10-5. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 at the eight-minute mark Kayla Meneghain. The game would stay there till the last minute of the game when Kayla Meneghain would get her second goal of the night on the empty net. As the Cardinals would secure the 3-0 victory. The game would start well for the Cardinals as Connor Gorman would light the lamp 3:29 into the game to give the Cardinals the early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just over two minutes later on Dakota Mason's goal. Then with just under two minutes left in the period would add another one on Michael Radisa's goal to give the Cardinals the convincing 3-0 lead after the first period. That is where the game would stay until 11:12 of the third period when the Panthers would get their lone goal from Louis Belisle to make it 3-1. From there on the Cardinals would hold check to get the 3-1 victory and there 4th Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship. Then Jared Dockings would score on the shorthand with 2:10 remaining in the period as the Cardinals take a 5-1 lead after two periods. Then in the 13th minute of the third Max Babalan would score again to make it 6-1. The scoring would end in the 18th minute on Preston Kayne's goal. With the Cardinals would get the 7-1 win.
