The game would remain scoreless until the third period when the Panthers would break through with three runs and take the 3-0 lead. The Cardinals would get on the board in the fourth inning with a sacrifice bunt to make it 3-1. The Panthers would answer back in the fifth inning with three more runs to make it 6-1 Panthers. At the bottom of the fifth, the Cardinals would keep it close getting two runs to make it 6-4. In the sixth, the Panthers would score one to make it 7-4. At the bottom of the sixth, the Cardinals would score five to make it 9-7 Cardinals. The game would stay there till the ninth when the Panthers would get two runs. In the bottom of the ninth, the Cardinals would get the game-winning run on error pick off attempt at first and the runner would score from second to secure the 10-9 victory. The Norwich Cadets would try to end the senior send off when they would take the 1-0 lead in second Kyle Lamorey would score on the sacrifice fly. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up in the bottom of the inning at one when John Casten would score on the sacrifice fly. The Cardinals would take the 2-1 lead in the third when Yayu Oswawa would score on the fielders choice to make it 2-1. The score would stay there till the sixth inning when the Cardinals would get two runs on a pair of RBI singles from John Casten and Brian Latulipe to take the 4-1 lead. From there the Cardinals shutdown defense and Joe Leddy would hold on for the 4-1 victory.
