It would be the season opener for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would take on fellow North Country team in the Clarkson Golden Knights. The game would be tight throughout the first half as the home Cardinals would have a slim 31-29 lead at the end of the half. When the teams came back for the second half the game would remain close as the Cardinals would win the half 45-41 and take the 76-71 victory. In the winning effort Kevin Tabb would lead the way with a 19 point night as they go to 1-0 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State' Bri Brousseau would lead come in on the breakaway and lay in for two of her game high six points. It would be the opening night of the 2022-23 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Women's Basketball as they would take fellow north country foe the Clarkson Golden Knights. It would start off tight but the Cardinals would have the slim lead after the first quarter with a 15-11 quarter. In the second quarter the game would stay the same with the Cardinals winning the quarter by a 16-14 margin and take a 31-25 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Golden Knights would keep up the fight to keep the game close and even cut into the defecit with a 22-18 quarter to 49-47 Cardinals as they head to the last quarter. In that final stanza the game couldn't get any closer as it would be a 12-12 quarter and the Cardinals would hold onto to the 61-59 victory. With the win the Cardinals would get there season started off right as they go to 1-0 and Bri Brousseau would lead the way with a 16 point night as the Golden Knights fall to 0-1 on the season. It would be a nonleague matchup at the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse Soccer/Lacrosse Complex as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Clarkson Golden Knights in Women's Lacrosse. The first quarter of the game would not go well for the Cardinals as they would be down 7-2 with the lone goals for the Cardinals would come from Fiona Fitzgerald and Caroline Noia while scoring for the Golden Knights would be Madelynn Barnum (four), Hailey Millington (twice) and Sofie Mangino. In the second quarter, the Golden Knights would put the game out of reach with a 7-0 quarter and take the 14-2 lead at the break scoring for the Golden Knights would be Mia Petrone, Julia Lavarnway (three), Sydney Roderick, Madelynn Barnum (fifth) and Grace Hagberg. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Golden Knights would let off the gas with a 3-0 quarter and take the 17-2 into the fourth on goals from Julia Lavarnway (fourth) Hailey Millington(third) and Sydney Roderick (second). In the fourth quarter with the game in hand, the Cardinals would actually get the quarter 3-1 on goals from Rachel LaMar, Caroline Noia (second), and Maddy Garcia while Julia Patterson would score for the Golden Knights for the 18-5 victory. The Golden Knights' netminders would combine for five saves as they go to 6-0 while the Cardinals combine for 18 saves as they go to 1-3 on the season. Gallery

It would be semi-final game number 2 and #2 Clarkson Golden Knights would take on the #3 Harvard Crimson as the Knights would look to retain their title in Lake Placid as they won the last tournament before the shutdown of Covid-19 back in 2019. The game would start off good for the upset minded Crimson as they would get the opening goal from Sean Farrell at the 8:20 mark of the first period. Although the Knights would not end the period quietly as they would get the equalizer with just over five minutes left in the period on the Alex Campbell powerplay goal. The game would stay there till the 10:59 mark of the second period when the Crimson would regain the lead at 2-1 on the Nick Abruzzese goal. Although the Golden Knights would tie the game back up again just two minutes later on the goal by Alex Campbell for the second time on the night and both on the powerplay. Then with just over three minutes left in the period the Golden Knights would get there first lead of the game on the Zach Tsekos goal and make it 3-2 Golden Knights leaded headed to the third period. Although the lead would be short lived as the Crimson would tie game up at the 4:23 mark of the period on Nick Abruzzeses second goal of the game. Then with just under five minutes left in the game the Crimson would take the lead for the third and final time on the night on the Matthew Coronato goal at 4-3 and would also add the empty netter in the closing seconds of the game. In the winning effort the Harvard Crimson advance to the ECAC Hockey Championship against the #1 Quinnipiac Bobcats and Mitchell Gibson would make 24 saves on the night while Clarkson's Ethan Haider would make 29 saves in the losing effort.
