Plattsburgh State's Adam Wein (3) with the high step to avoid the tag by the Fredonia State pitcher to score. It would be the start of the final series of the season for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and they would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC Baseball action. The game would start off well for the home Cardinals as they would get the 3-0 lead in the third inning of the game led by Kornblau's rbi double. The game would stay there til the sixth inning when the Fredonia State Blue Devils would get on the board with a rbi single by Wentland. In the top of the seventh, the Cardinals would regain their three-run lead at 4-1 on the rbi single by Gonzalski. Then in the 8th inning, the Blue Devils would get it back to a two-run game at 4-2 on the Roach rbi single. However, the Cardinals would answer right back on a rbi double by Defayette to make it a 5-2 game and give the Cardinals the win. In the winning effort, Sean Malamud would win as he would go the complete game and scatter five hits giving up two runs and striking out four as the Cardinals went to 13-20 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC baseball action as part of a doubleheader from Chip Cummings Field. The first game would not go so well for the home Cardinals as the game would be called after seven innings due to the run rule the Red Dragons would get the 15-2 win. Then in the second game of the doubleheader, the game would not look good for the home Cardinals as Mieczkowski would start the game with a two-run homer and give the Red Dragons the 2-0 lead. Although in the bottom of the first, the Cardinals would answer back with a rbi triple by Nick Cergol to make it a 2-1 game. Then in the second inning, the Cardinals would tie the game at two on the Adam Wein rbi single. The game would remain there till the fifth inning when Red Dragons Chemotti would hit the rbi single to take the 3-2 lead. In the seven-inning, the Red Dragons would extend their lead to 5-2 on the Krafft rbi single. Then in the ninth inning, Krafft would hit a sacrifice fly to get the 6-2 Red Dragons lead and secure the victory. The Cardinals would fall to 12-20 on the season as Andrew Veit get saddled with the loss as he gave up ten hits and six runs over eight innings. It would be the first game of a twin bill for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals from the Chip Cummings Field against the New Paltz Hawks in SUNYAC play. The game would remain scoreless until the third inning when Kyle Cremin would hit the RBI single to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. When the Hawks would get up next in the top of the 4th inning they would tie the game at one Ortiz's fielder choice. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cardinals would regain the lead on Connor Gonzalski's rbi single and make it a 2-1 game. Once again the Hawks would answer right back in the 6th inning on another fielder's choice this time from Ascanio and tie the game at two. Then in the bottom of the seventh, the Cardinals would retake the one-run lead on a solo home run by Kyle Cremin for the 3-2 lead. In the 8th inning, the Cardinals would extend their lead to 4-2 on the rbi single to center from Nck Cergol. In the ninth inning, the Hawks would try and make and come back and tie the game up but it fall short as they would only get one off a sac fly by Harvey and the Cardinals would hold on the four the 4-3 victory and they would get the sweep on the day with the 10-7 victory in game two. In the first game, Chris Samtic would scatter 9 hits over 7 and third innings giving up 2 runs as the Cardinals go to 9-14 on the season. It would be the third annual teddy bear toss night and they would litter the ice after Carson Gallagher's goal in the first period. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would finish off the home portion of their 2022 season with a SUNYAC game against the Morrisville State Mustangs on the 3rd annual teddy bear toss night with 1750 fans in attendance. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game from Carson Gallagher at the 11:24 mark of the first period and the throwing of the bears would insure. That is where the game would stay til the 3:54 mark of the second when the Cardinals would score again from Mitchell Hale to take the 2-0 lead. Then just three minutes later the Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-0 on the Jake Lanyi goal. Although just twenty seconds later the Mustangs would get on the board with a Trevor Neumann goal and make it a 3-1 game. That is where the game would stay till the first minute of the third period when Jestin Somero would score for the Mustangs to make it a 3-2 game for the third. The Mustangs wouldn't give up and would tie the game halfway through the period with Trevor Neumann on his second goal of the game. Although the home Cardinals would keep peppering the Mustang goalie and would break down the wall with 59 seconds left in the game to get the game-winner from Bennett Stockdale and give the Cardinals the 4-3 win. In the winning effort, Elli Shiller would make 16 saves as they go to 8-3-2 on the season. Wiscon River Falls Maddie McCollins breaks in and beats Plattsburgh State's Lilla Nease to tie the game at two in the closing seconds of the second period. It would be the opening game of the 2022 Buster's Sports Bar and Grill Cardinal/Panther Classic and it would feature the home #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals taking on #6 Wisconsin River Falls Falcons at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The invading Falcons would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:33 mark of the first period on the Bailey Olson goal. The game would stay there all the way to the 5:44 mark of the second period when the Cardinals would get the equalizer off the stick Sara Krauseneck. Then with under four minutes left in the period the Cardinals would get the lead on the Riley Calhoun goal. Although the lead would be short lived as Maddie McCollins would come down on the break away and beat the Cardinal goalie with ten seconds left in the period and tie the game back up at two. Then at the Falcons will retake the lead at the 6:52 mark of the third period on the Aubrey Nelvin goal. From there the Falcons would hold onto the 3-2 lead for the win. In the winning effort the Falcons go to 7-1 on the season while the Cardinals suffer their first loss of the season and go to 7-1. With the win the Falcons head to the championship game of the Busters Cardinal/Panther Classic against the winner of the Middlebury Panthers and the Elmira Soaring Eagles. Gallery.

The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:14 mark of the first period when Jake Lanyi would find the back of the night for the 1-0 lead. That would be where the game would stay all the way til the 3:14 mark of the third period when Adam Tretowicz would find the net on a breakaway for the shorthanded goal and the 2-0 Cardinals lead. Then the Cardinals would add a third goal at the 12:09 mark of the period from Josh Belgrave for the 3-0 lead and that is where the game would finish. In the winning effort Eli Shiller would make 23 saves as they go to 4-1-2. They will be back in action tomorrow (November 19th) as they finish off the homestand against the Buffalo State Bengals on poster night at the Stafford Ice Arena. Gallery
