The game would not start off good for the Cardinals as they gave one first period goal and trail 1-0 after the first period. In the second period, it would get worse as they gave up three goals and trail 4-0 after two periods. The Cardinals would finally get on the board in the third period on Jesse Neher's goal to make it 4-1. Although the Knights would answer back with three goals of there own and secure the 7-1 victory. In the losing effort, Joshua Davies would make 20 saves as the Cardinals fall to 6-6 on the season. Gallery

In the third period, the offense would explode for both teams as they would both score three goals scoring for Plattsburgh would be Jesse Neher, Phillip Middleton (2), Aryton Valente. The Eagles would get the first goal of the game with seven minutes left in the first thanks to Dylan Shaprio to make it 1-0. The game would remain there until the last minute of the game when the eagles would add an empty netter from Hunter Laslo to secure the 2-0 win for the Golden Eagles. It would be a rematch of last year's SUNYAC championship as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would get two goals in the first period for the early 2-0 lead. In the early part of the second period, the Cardinals would get two quick goals from Aryton Valente Scuyker Seyfert to tie the game at two. The Knights would regain the lead at 3-2 n a Connor Anthonie goal. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game back up at three on Pat Egan's goal. Although the Knights would answer back 42 seconds later to regain the one-goal lead at 4-3. At the ten minute mark of the third period the Knights would extend there lead to 5-3. With just over six minutes left the Cardinals would make it a one-goal game at 5-4 on Gavin Yates's goal. The Cardinals would fight through the rest but it wouldn't be enough as they fall short 5-4. In the second period, both offenses would come alive as the Cobbers would score twice and the Cardinals would get three goals two from Cole Stallard and another from Jesse Neher to make it 4-3 Cobbers after two. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at one Cole Stallard's goal at the 14-minute mark of the first. Then just over a minute later the Lakers would regain the lead at 2-1 on the powerplay goal from Andrew Barton. The Cardinals would regain there lead to 2-1 with 5 minutes left in the first on a power-play goal by Cole Stallard. The Red Dragons would tie the game up at 2 on Darren McCormick's goal at the 11-minute mark. In the final four minutes of the second period, Pat Egan gives the Cardinals the 3-2 lead on the power play. Then five minutes into the third period Kyle Hall scores for the Cardinals to give them a 4-2 lead. In the closing seconds of the game, the Red Dragons would get a goal as the Cardinals secure the 4-3 lead. In the third period, the teams would trade goals getting the lone Cardinal goal would be Nick Belger as the Knights would secure the 7-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Brady O'Quinn (27) crashes into the net hard and takes out the Oswego State goalie. It would be the classic rivalry this time in the SUNYAC Semi-Finals as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Oswego State Lakers. It would take until the 8:15 mark of the second period until we would have a goal from Jesse Neher to give the Cardinals the 1-0 lead. The Lakers would get two goals in the remainder of the period to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead after two periods. The Cardinals Nick Belger would tie the game up at 2 at the 7:17 mark of the third period on a power play goal. Then the Cardinals would score again at the 10:09 mark from Dillan Fox to regain the lead at 3-2. Although the Lakers would get a late period goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. In that overtime Michael Radisa would score for the Cardinals at the 10:09 mark and give them the 4-3 win and send them to the SUNYAC Championship against Geneseo State. It would be the last regular-season game of the season and a battle of the top 2 SUNYAC teams as the #2 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #12 Geneseo State Knights. The Knights would get the opening goal of the game on a powerplay goal from Matt Solomann at 11:10 of the first period. The Cardinals would answer right back and tie it 1 18 seconds later on a Jesse Neher goal. Then at 13:29 of the first period, Stephen Collins would give the Knights the one-goal lead back. The Cardinals would tie the game back up again this time at two on Conor Gorman's goal at the 16:45 mark of the first period. The game would stay there all the way till the last minute of the second period when Patrick Hermans would score for the Cardinals to give them the 3-2 lead. Although the Knights would tie it at 3 in the first minute of the third period on a Pat Condon goal. The game would end up staying tied at three and the Cardinals would earn there the second tie of the weekend. The Eagles would soar back with two-goal in a three-minute span Adian Verbeke to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would come back and tie the game up at 17:09 on Chris Taff's goal to make it 2-2. The Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 on the Dillan Fox goal. The Eagles would come back again and tie it at three on a Zack Slichick goal. They would go to overtime but there would be no change and the game would end in a three-all tie. The game would stay there till the 8-minute mark of the second period when Pat Egan would score on the power play to make it 2-1 Cardinals. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Luke Baleshetea's goal at 9"58 of the second. Then at the 12:44 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 5-1 on Mike Radisia's goal. Then at the 15:45 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would make it 6-1 on Nick Belger's goal. The game would stay there until the last second of the game when the Cardinals would score on Santino Ragone's power-play goal to secure the 7-1 victory. Then in the last five minutes of the first, the Cardinals would retake the lead at 2-1 on Conor Gorman's goal. Oswego would come back and tie the game up back up at 11:54 of the second. The game would remain there until the early minutes of the third when Oswego would take the 3-2 lead. The game would stay there till about two minutes left in the game when the Cardinals would tie it up on a 4x4 goal by Anthony Calabrese. The game would go to overtime where Connor Gorman would get the game-winner with 2 seconds left to secure the 4-3 victory. In the second period, the Cardinals would continue there dominance scoring twice more from Cam Owens and Brandon O'Quinn to make it 5-0 after two periods. In the third period, the Cardinals would put the final touches on the game scoring twice more this time Luke Balesheta and Kyle Hall for the 7-0 victory. In the winning effort, Brady Rouleau would stop all 18 shots in the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 9-1-1 on the season. With the win, the Cardinals play for the W.B.
