The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Pat Egan's goal at 9:54 of the first period. Then just over three minutes later Pat Egan would strike again to make it 2-0. Then to end the six-minute stretch in the first the Cardinals Cole Stallard would score to make it 3-0 Cardinals after the first period. In the second period, the Cardinals would continue there dominance scoring twice more from Cam Owens and Brandon O'Quinn to make it 5-0 after two periods. In the third period, the Cardinals would put the final touches on the game scoring twice more this time Luke Balesheta and Kyle Hall for the 7-0 victory. In the winning effort, Brady Rouleau would stop all 18 shots in the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 9-1-1 on the season. With the win, the Cardinals play for the W.B.
