Malone's Josh Trombley (22) pins Ogensburg's Jarred Barr (7) along the end boards and battles for the puck. The Malone Huskies would host the Ogdensburg Blue Devils to get the Section X Hockey season underway. The game would remain scoreless all the way till the third period when Malone's Jake Henning would get the game's first goal at 1:10 to give the Huskies 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 11th minute of the third when the Blue Devils would tie it up on Jon Taylor's goal. The Huskies would keep scraping though and get the game-winner with just over two minutes left when Bailey Conklin would score on the breakaway to give the Huskies the 2-1 win. With the win the Huskies get there season started off right at 1-0. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs #15 Middlebury Panthers November 30 2013

Plattsburgh State's Connor Gorman (11) with the hip check on Middlebury's Ronald Fishman (14) along the broads. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play #15 Middlebury in the Championship of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. The game would start well for the Cardinals as Connor Gorman would light the lamp 3:29 into the game to give the Cardinals the early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just over two minutes later on Dakota Mason's goal. Then with just under two minutes left in the period would add another one on Michael Radisa's goal to give the Cardinals the convincing 3-0 lead after the first period. That is where the game would stay until 11:12 of the third period when the Panthers would get their lone goal from Louis Belisle to make it 3-1. From there on the Cardinals would hold check to get the 3-1 victory and there 4th Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship. In the winning effort Matthieu Cardieux would make 20 saves and be named the MVP of the tournament. With the win the Cardinals stay undefeated at 8-0-1 on the season. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Primelink Great Northern Shootout #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Wisconsin Superior Yellow Jackets November 29 2013

Plattsburgh State's Mathieu Cadieux (34) with the body save that he traps for no chance at a rebound. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet the Wisconsin-Superior Yellow Jackets in the semi-finals of the 16th edition of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout in Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh's Michael Cassidy would get the home Cardinals on the broad first at 6:31 of the first period to make it 1-0. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Alex Benton's goal at the 9:43 mark. The Yellow Jackets would cut the lead in half at 12;57 of the first period when Anton Stevenson would light the lamp to make it 2-1. The Cardinals would extend the lead back to two just over a minute into the second when Dillan Fox would score to make it 3-1. The game would stay there until the last minute of the game when Alex Jensen would add an empty netter to secure the Cardinals 4-1 victory. In the winning effort Mathieu Cadieux would make 19 saves as the Cardinals would advance to the Great Northern Shootout championship game. Gallery

The game would remain scoreless until 16:36 Giovanna Senese would light the lamp to make it 1-0 Cardinals on the breakaway. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would make it 2-0 thanks to Julia Duquette's goal. Then in the second period Ali Vakos would strike twice to make it 4-0 Cardinals after two periods. Then in the third period the Cardinals would finish it off with three goals from Bridget Balisy, Jordan Caldwell, and Alyssa Parke for the 7-0 win. In the winning effort Sydney Aveson would keep her shutout streak alive now at 9 straight games with 11 saves on the day as the Cardinals go to 8-0 on the season. Gallery

The Adirondack J's and Plain White T's would meet to start the Indoor Flag Football season. The Plain White T's would get the early 7-0 lead. Adirondack J's would answer back though on an Austin Velie touchdown to make it 7-6 at the intermission. When the teams came back Adirondack J's Craig Livsey would strike quick with the interception touchdown to make it 12-7 Adirondack J's. Then just three minutes leader Plain White T's would take the lead back on the touchdown at 13-12. Then at the 10-minute mark Craig Livsey would strike again for his second pick 6 to give Adirondack J's the 20-12 lead and the score would hold up for the win. With the win Adirondack J's start the season 1-0 while Plain White T's are 0-1.

Gladiators' receivers reach over Wolfpacks Sanchez(15) and catch the ball for the touchdown. The West Plattsburgh Wolfpack and the Clinton Gladiators would meet in the opener and look to get their season started off right. Well for one they would succeed on that mission the other would need to go back to the drawing broad. Clinton Gladiators would score three minutes in on a pick 6 and take the 6-0 lead. Then five minutes leader the Wolfpack would tie the game up at six. Then before the half ended the Gladiators would score twice more and take a 22-6 lead at intermission. Then when the teams came back the Gladiators would score four more unanswered touchdowns and cruise to the 48-6 win. With the win the Gladiators go to 1-0 while the Wolfpack goes to 0-1.

CJ's receiver makes the catch as he is falling to the ground. CJ Tunes & DJ Photography would meet Rand Hill Painters to start off the indoor flag football season. The game would remain scoreless until the 10th minute when CJ's would get on the broad to take the 6-0 lead. The score would remain there til two minutes into the second half when CJ's Barber would score to make it 14-0. Rand Hill Painters would get on the broad at the five-minute mark to make it 14-7. Then at 15th-minute mark, Justin Frennier would score for CJ's to make it 20-7. Then at the last minute they would put the game away with one more score to make it a 26-7 final. With the win, CJ Tunes & DJ Photography go to 1-0 and Rand Hill Painters fall to 0-1 on the season.

DBXtreme's Andrew Price with the catch along the sidelines thanks to assistance from his to secure the catch. In the last game of the night DBXtreme would face Plattsvegas Packers to finish off week one. DBXtreme's Jordan Gillespie would get the games first score to make it 7-0 three minutes in. DBXtreme would extend the lead to 14-0 at the ten-minute mark. Plattsvegad would get on the broad at 12-minute mark to make it 14-6. Then in the last minute of the half Plattsvegas would score again to make it 14-12 at intermission. When the teams came back for the second half DBXtreme would strike first at the four-minute mark to make it 20-12 on Andrew Price's score. Then at the eight-minute mark, DBXtreme and Andrew Price would strike again to make it 26-12. At the thirteen minute marks Plattsvegas would make it a one-score game at 26-18. Then with three minutes left DBXtreme would put the game out of reach with the touchdown to make it 32-18. Plattsvegas would not give up though as they would score as time expired to make it a 32-24 final. With the win DBXtreme would go to 1-0 while Plattsvegas is 0-1 on the season.

The North Country Community College Saints would take on the Finger Lakes Community College Lakers in NJCAA Region 3 action. This would be a very high pace up and down game and would be tight throughout. The Saints would trail by a score of 39-31 at the intermission. In the second half the Saints would do there best to keep it a game stay close but they would fall short and lose 79-73. Leading the way for the Saints would be Michael Boyea and Matthew Gullotta as the Saints go to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

The North Country Community College Saints would take on the Finger Lake Community College Lakers in NJCAA Region 3 action at Chateaugay. North Country would get on the Lakers early and gets the early edge on the turnovers and Lakers couldn't get much of the answer. The Saints would hold a 30-21 lead at the intermission. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same and they would get the 54-41 victory. Leading the way for the Saints would be Shaneika Smith with 16 points as the Saints go to 4-1 on the season. Gallery
