The Beekmantown Eagles and Peru Indians would meet in the Section VII Class B Championship at Ausable Valley with a berth in the state tournament on the line. Beekmantown would take the 7-0 lead on their first drive of the game on a Justin Stevens 11 yard run. Then inside the last minute of the first quarter Justin Stevens would strike again to give the Eagles the 14-0 lead. Peru would get on the broad 11 seconds into the second quarter on a Ryan Lovely 45 yard touchdown reception to make it 14-7. Beekmantown would answer back 4 minutes later on a Devin Fesette 60 yard touchdown run to make it 20-7. Peru's Taylor Avanzato would score on a 5 yard run at 7:52 of the second quarter to make it 20-14. Then to end the second quarter fury Justin Stevens would score from 17 yards out to make it 27-14 with 2.13 left til halftime. In the third quarter Zane Bazzano would have the lone score of a 14-yard touchdown at 8:13 to make it 27-21 Eagles. Then 2:28 Zane Bazzano and the Indians would strike again to give the Indians there first lead of the day. The Eagles wouldn't give up though and after an Indian fumble Justin Stevens would score for his third touchdown of the day to give the Eagles the 33-28 lead and win. With the win the Beekmantown Eagles go to 5-4 on the season and play the Malone Huskies in the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament on November 9th at Ausable Valley. Gallery

Section VII Class C Championship: #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs #2 Saranac Chiefs November 3 2013

In the second game of the championship, Saturday the Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet the Saranac Chiefs in the Class C Championship. Saranac Lake would have the only score in the first quarter on Dylan Gunther 11 yard touchdown reception with 3:06 left to make it 7-0 Red Storm. Then just 1:19 into the second quarter the Chiefs would tie the game up on John Maye's touchdown. Then just three minutes later Maye would strike again to make it 14-7 Chiefs. The Red Storm would answer back with 4:03 left in the half on a short field goal to make it 14-10. The Chiefs would extend there lead to 21-10 on John Maye's third touchdown of the day with 1:57 left before half. Saranac Lake would strike quick and make it 21-16 at the half on Dan Strack's touchdown. When the teams would return for second half the Red Storm would take there first lead of the game at 3:50 of the third on short touchdown run to give them 24-21 lead. That is where the score would remain until the Chiefs would retake the lead on John Maye's fourth touchdown of the day at 28-24 with 4:03 left in the game. Then with just 1 minute left in the game the Red Storm would get the game-winning touchdown to Dylan Gunther for the 30-28 win. With the win the Red Storm goes to 5-4 on the season and will play Ogdensburg in State Tournament first-round November 8th at Potsdam. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 7 Beekmantown Eagles Vs Ausable Valley Patriots October 19 2013

Beekmantown's Quenten Barber (88) with the leaping catch across the middle of the field in traffic. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Ausable Valley Patriots in the final week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. The Eagles would have a 14-0 lead after the first quarter on two scores from Justin Stevens one rushing and the other on a punt return. The Patriots would try to keep it close when Scott Douglas would score on a 15-yard reception at 1:29 in. The Eagles would answer right back with Justin Stevens's third touchdown on the day at 5:31 to make it 21-6. The Eagles would extend the lead to 28-6 on Kyle Dupingey on a 35-yard touchdown. With ten seconds left in the half, Jacob Remchuk would scramble from 9 yards out to make it 35-6 at the break. Just 1:47 into the second half it would be more of the same as Quenton Barber would score a 65-yard punt return to make it 42-6. Then at the 6-minute mark of third Devin Fessette would take it up the middle from 5 yards out for the score to make it 48-6. Then just as the fourth quarter would start the Eagles would strike one last time this time from Kyle Dupingey for the 55-6 victory. With the win, the Eagles would finish the season at 4-3 while Patriots fall to 1-6.

Beekmantown's Cameron Garceau (1) break up the pass in endzone attended for Saranac Lake's Dylan Gunther (11). The Beekmantown Eagles and Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet during week 6 of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. This would be a match of equally matched teams with most of the scoring coming in the first quarter. The Red Storm would strike twice and the Eagles once on Devin Fessetes score to make it 14-7 after one. Then in second quarter, the teams would trade scores with the Eagles score coming from Cameron Garceau to make it 21-14 Red Storm at the break. That is where the game would remain until the earlier part of the 4th when the Eagles would tie the game up at 21 on Justin Stevens running score. Although on the Red Storm drive they would march right down the field and score the game-winner to give the Red Storm the 28-21 victory. With the win, the Red Storm goes to 4-2 while the Eagles fall to 3-3 on the season.

Empire Football League Championship #2 Plattsburgh North Stars Vs #3 Syracuse Shock October 12 2013

Plattsburgh's Elisa Parks (35) with the stiff arm as he gets the edge and heads up the field. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Syracuse Shock in the Empire Football League Championship. The Shock would take the early 8-0 on their opening drive. The North Stars would fight right back and tie the game at 8 on Dexter Geoghan touchdown. Although the Shock would score one more before the end of the quarter to make it 14-8 Shock. The North Stars would take the 15-14 lead on Brett Boyers 62 yard touchdown score. From there on it would be a shocking game as they would have 22 unanswered points to secure the 36-15 victory for the championship. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 6 Saranac Chiefs Vs #15 Peru Indians October 5 2013

Saranac's (24) wraps up the legs and holds tight to bring down Peru's Ryan Lovely (11). The Saranac Chiefs would host the Peru Indians in week 6 of the Champlain Valley Football League league season. It would be the battle of a couple of schools that just don't like each other and at times it would show. The Indians would strike first 3:30 on a fumble recovery in the endzone for a score to make it 7-0 Indians. Then at the 8-minute mark the Indians would score again this time hooking up with Zane Bazzano on a 45-yard pass to make it 14-0. The Chiefs would get on the broad just over a minute later on John Maye's touchdown run to make it 14-6. Then just three minutes into the second quarter the Indians would hit Bazzano again this time on a bomb to make it 20-6. Then just two minutes later it would be Bazzamo again to make it 27-6. Then as the first half would come to an end the Indians and Rivelino Hendricks would score from five yards out to make it 34-6 at the break. When the teams return for the second half it was more of the same as the Indians and Hendricks would score at the nine-minute mark to make it 41-6. From there on out the teams would cruise it on out. With the win, the Indians stay undefeated at 6-0 and the Chiefs fall to 2-4 on the season.

Plattsburgh's Mackenize Haskins (21) and Mike Thompson (25) work together to bring down the Glens Falls running back. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Glens Falls Greenjackets in the semi-finals of the Empire Football League playoffs. The North Stars would have a 7-0 lead after the first quarter on DJ Barber's touchdown. The scoring would pick up in the second quarter with three scores by the two teams to make it a 21-6 North Stars lead at the breaks the North Stars scores would come from Dexter and Elisa Parks. In the second the Greenjackets would do there best to stay in the game and that's just what they did scoring twice but the North Stars would get one score late from Elisa Parks to secure the 28-20 victory. With the win, the Plattsburgh North Stars will host next week's championship game against the Syracuse Shock as the North Stars advanced to the there fifth straight title game. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 4 Beekmantown Eagles Vs Peru Indians September 28 2013

Beekmantown's Devin Fessette with the break up from behind on the pass attempt to Peru's Zane Bazzano. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the Peru Indians in Week 4 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference. The game would be close are the first quarter the teams trading touchdowns but the Indians would miss the extra point giving the Eagles the 7-6 at the end of one. Then in the second quarter, the Indians would get the only score and go for two to take a 14-7 lead into the break. Then the teams would come back for the second half they would be fired up and there would be more hard-hitting. The Indians would outscore the Eagles 22-7 thanks to some favorable officiating. The highlight of the day would come when each team would have a return for touchdown Zane Bazzano for the Indians and Cameron Garceau for the Eagles. With the win, the Indians stay undefeated at 4-0 as they head to Saranac next well the Eagles fall to 2-2 and are on the road at Moriah.

The Beekmantown Eagles would travel to Plattsburgh and take on the Hornets in week three of the Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference action. The Eagles would take the lead at 2:53 mark of the first quarter on Cameron Garceau's touchdown reception. Then just over two minutes later the Eagles would strike again on Devin Fessette's two-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0. Then shortly into the second quarter, the Eagles would strike again this time on Justin Stevens two-yard run to make it 20-0 Eagles. The Eagles would strike one more time before the half ended on Devin Fessette's second score of the night to make it 27-0 at the half. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same Justin Stevens would get his second touchdown of night six minutes in to make it 34-0. Then just three minutes later the Eagles would strike again with Justin Stevens third touchdown of the night to make it 41-0. The Eagles would end there scoring in the fourth quarter on Tyler Myers's eight-yard run to secure the 48-0 victory. With the win, the Eagles go to 2-1 as the Hornets fall to 0-3 on the season.

Empire Football League Week 8:Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Syracuse Shock July 27 2013

Plattsburgh's Craig Livsey (4) times the hit just right and breaks up the pass to the flat. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Syracuse Shock in week four of the EFL season in what could be a preview of the championship game. The North Stars would strike just over four minutes into the game with a 23-yard strike to Brett Boyer to give the North Stars the 7-0 lead. Then with eight seconds left in the first Dexter Geohagan would catch the 13-yard pass in the corner to give the Stars the 14-0 lead. Then halfway through the second quarter, the Shock gets on the broad with the running touchdown to make it 14-6. Then with just three minutes left in the half DJ Barber would make a 20-yard field goal for the 17-6 lead at the break. The Shock would get the only score in the third quarter on the QB sneak to make it 17-12. Then just as the fourth quarter, the Stars would go up 24-12 on DJ Barbers TD Reception. Just three minutes later they would extend the lead to 31-18 on Dexter Geohagan's second touchdown of the night. Then to finish off the night Brandon St. John would have an interception for a touchdown to make it a 38-18 final and win for the North Stars. In the winning effort, Harry Rascoe would have 250 passing yards and four touchdown passes as the North Stars go to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the league. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls and take on the Greenjackets. The North Stars would take the quick 7-0 lead when Dexter Geohagan would run back the opening kickoff. Then they would strike again on there next drive on a long Touchdown pass to Dexter Geohagan to make it 14-0. Then the remainder of the first half the Greenjackets would charge back getting 10 points to make it 14-10 North Stars at intermission. When the teams would return for the second half the North Stars would extend there lead to 20-10 on Chris Fish's touchdown. The North Stars would strike again on Dexter Geohagan's third touchdown of the night to make it 26-10. The Greenjackets would do there best to try and get the win at the end scoring twice but the North Stars would hold on for 26-24 victory. With the win, the North Stars will go to 5-3 on the season with the there regular-season finale against the Watertown Red & Black. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 1 Saranac Chiefs Vs Au Sable Valley Patriots September 7 2013

The Saranac Chiefs would open up the season at home against the Au Sable Valley Patriots. The Chiefs would take the 7-0 lead with 1:46 left in the 1st quarter when Ethan Goslin would find Lance Hackett in the endzone for the touchdown. Although the Patriots would come right back and score on there next drive to make the score 7-6. On the in suing kickoff the Chiefs would cough up the ball and the Patriots would score. Then with 5:02 left in the half, the Chiefs would regain the lead at 14-12 on John Maye touchdown run. Then just over a minute later the Chiefs would extend there lead to 20-14 when John Maye would score on the touchdown run off a Patriot turnover. The Patriots would answer back though before the end of the half to tie the game at 20-20 at the break. When the teams came out of the break the Chiefs would start to take control of the game and regain the lead on John Maye's third touchdown run from the 5-yard line and would get the two-point conversion to make it 28-20. Then with the 4th quarter starting the Chiefs would score again behind John Maye to make it 34-20. Just three minutes later the Patriots would race down the field and score on John Goodnough runs to make it 34-28 and get back in the game. Then with 3:30 left the Chiefs would finish the Patriots off on Ethan Goslin's run to make it a 42-28 Chiefs win. Leading the way for the Chiefs in the win would be John Maye with 198 yards and four touchdowns. With the win, the Chiefs start the season at 1-0 as they head on the road to Beekmantown for week 2.

Empire Football League Week 7: Plattsburgh North Stars Vs Vermont Ice Storm August 17 2013

Plattsburgh's Jason Remillard (10) goes up in traffic and comes down with the interception. The Plattsburgh North Stars would face their rivals from across the lake the Vermont Ice Storm in Empire Football League action. It would not take the North Stars long to get on the broad they would score on the opening drive to make it 7-0 on DJ Barber's TD Reception. The Stars would get another one near the end of the quarter on Dexter Geohagan touchdown to make it 13-0. Then in second quarter, the North Stars would score twice more Jamil McCray's and Chris Fish's touchdown receptions to make it 27-0 at the half. When the teams would return for the second it would be more of the same. The North Stars would get two more scores one on Harry Rascoe's sneak from the one-yard line and Craig Bujold's reception to make it 41-0. Then in the fourth quarter, the North Stars would add one more just for good measure as Harry Rascoe would scramble for 40 yards to make it 47-0. The Ice Storm would get one score late to break up the shutout. As the North Stars would cruise to a 47-7 win and go to 5-1 in Empire Football League as they head to Syracuse next week to take on the Syracuse Shock. Gallery

Empire Football League Week 2: Plattsburgh North Stars @ Vermont Ice Storm July 13 2013

The Plattsburgh North Stars came into Burlington looking to get there Empire Football League of the right track against rival Vermont Ice Storm. The North Stars would stat of with a pick by Brandon St. John that he would take inside the 10 where the Stars would score and take a 6-0 lead. The North Stars would score twice more before the quarter ended to have a 20-0 lead including the long Brett Boyer touchdown. The Stars would score once in the second quarter to take a 27-0 lead at halftime. Then in the second half, the North Stars would finish the beating with three more scores to get the 49-0 victory. With the win, the North Stars go to 1-1 and 1-0 in the league. The North Stars start the home portion of there season next week against the Glens Falls Green Jackets in the Mayors Cup game. Gallery
