Empire Football League Championship: #1 Plattsburgh North Stars Vs #3 Monroe County Sting October 20 12
Plattsburgh's Brian Stanley (28) with the hard hit on the Sting wide receiver to break up the play. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Monroe County Sting in the Empire Football League Championship. The North Stars would take the lead 7-0 after the first quarter. The Sting would take the lead 8-7 at the break. In the third quarter, both team's offense would go fast down and back and would be tied at 22 as the entered the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Stings would score to more times, and their defense would shut down the Northstars offense and get the 38-22 victory to earn the Empire Football League Championship. Northern Adirondack Conference Volleyball: Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Brushton-Moria Panthers October 18 2012
Chateaugay's Paige English (4) twist the body as she raises up for the set on the waiting spike. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in the east division. The Bulldogs would waste no time in getting the straight-set victory by scores of 25-17, 25-8, and 25-12. The Bulldogs would great performances by Desiree Stumpf, Catilin Miller, and Kendra King in the winning effort. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Volleyball: Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Brushton-Moria Panthers mod squad October 18 2012
Chateaugay's Brooke Secore (11) with the tip shot at the net for a point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Brushton-Moria Panthers in modified volleyball action. The Bulldogs would make easy work of the Panthers as they would win three games to zero by scores of 25-12, 25-8, and 25-20. The Bulldogs would use the solid play all the way around and team to get the win. With the win, the Bulldogs continue the undefeated season at 11-0. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Soccer Malone Huskies Vs #7 Chateaugay Bulldogs October 17 2012
Malone's Marissa Perez (11) with the header to send the ball into the attack ahead of Chateaugay's Katie Beach (7). The Malone Huskies would host their neighbors the Chateaugay Bulldogs in nonleague action. It would be a very competitive game all the way around. The lone goal in the game would come in 33rd minute as Courtney Boyea would find the back of the net for the Bulldogs. Malone would not give up and keep charging and even had a goal disallowed in the 15th minute on an offside call. In the winning effort, Makayla Fleury would have 10 saves on the night. Although losing Huskies goalie Jamie LaVoie would save 11. With the win, the Bulldogs continue there undefeated season and go to 13-0 as the Huskies would fall to 3-8-1. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Soccer #7 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs St. Regis Falls Siants October 17 2012
Chateaugay's Hayle Tower (8) crashes into the St. Regis Fall's goalie Kaina Stowell and sends the ball just wide of the net. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the St. Regis Fall Saints in east division action. The Bulldogs would get the scoring started in the 9th minute on Alexis Beac's goal to make it 1-0. The Bulldogs would increase the lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute on the Courtney Boyea goal. The Bulldogs would end the scoring in the first half in the 35th minute on Hannah Cook goal. Then in the 61st minute Courtney Boyea would add her 2bnd goal of the night to make the score 4-0. Also in the 66th minute, Alexis Beach would make it 5-0 on her 2nd goal of the night. The Bulldogs would end the scoring in the 72nd minute on Sarah Gardiner's goal to make it 6-0. In the winning effort the Bulldogs keep there perfect season intact at 12-0. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Girl's Soccer Malone Huskies Vs Potsdam Sandstoners October 11 2012
Malone's Mikalya Pickering (7) and Potsdam's defender battle for the ball just outside the box as she was looking for the shot on net.The Malone Huskies would host the Potsdam Sandstoners in central division action. Potsdam would take the 1-0 lead in the 4th minute on Grant's goal and would not look back from there. Potsdam's Hildreth would make it 2-0 in the 13th minute. The Sandstoners would strike again the 35th minute on Dillon's goal to make it 3-0. That is where the score would remain until the 74th minute when Potsdam Rishe would score to make it 4-0. That would end up being the final as the Huskies would fall 4-0. With the lose the Huskies fall to 2-7-1 on the season. Gallery

Northern Adirondack Conference Boy's Soccer Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets October 15 2012
Chateaugay's Owen Henderson (9) with the header in the defensive end that he takes off the face. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in east division action. Before the game Bulldogs would honor there ten seniors as this would be the last regular-season home game. The game would be physical between a couple of bitter rivals. The game would be scoreless through regulation. Then in overtime in the third minute, the Bulldogs would get the lone goal of the game from Cody Smith. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 7-3-3 on the season as they draw closer to the playoffs. Gallery

Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 7 Saranac Chiefs Vs #6 Saranac Lake Red Storm October 13 2012
Saranac's Michael Bernardi (22) takes it through the whole and cuts to the outside and goes for the 30-yard touchdown. The Saranac Chiefs would host the #6 Saranac Lake Red Storm in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. The Red Storm would use the offense to get out to the quick 23-0 lead after the first quarter and not look back. The Red Storm would take a 36-0 lead into the break. They would get one more score in the third to get 42-0 lead. In the fourth quarter the Chiefs would score a couple times first on Michael Bernardi with the 30-yard touchdown run and then as time expired the Chiefs would get a 30-yard field goal from Tony Bushey. The Red Storm would get the 42-11 victory and finish the regular season undefeated at 7-0 while the Chiefs fall to 2-5. Next week the Red Storm will host the Ausable Valley Patriots in section 7 class C title game while the Chiefs travel to Beekmantown to take on the Eagles in the Section 7 Class B Semi-Finals. Empire Football League Semi-Finals #1 Plattsburgh North Stars Vs #4 Watertown Red & Black October 13 2012
Plattsburgh's Jamil McCray (24) with the fingertip catch across the middle for the first down. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Watertown Red & Black in the semi-finals of the Empire Football League playoffs. The Plattsburgh North Stars would take the 7-0 lead after the first quarter thanks to the legs on Harry Rascoe. In the second the Red & Black would find the endzone but fail on the extra point and the North Stars would lead 7-6 at the intermission. In the third quarter the Red and Black would strike quick to make it 13-7. Then late in the quarter the North Stars would tie the game up on Andrew Prices catch in the corner of the endzone. Then midway through the fourth quarter, the North Stars would score on Andrew Price's second touchdown of the night on a curl route just over the line. The Plattsburgh North Stars will host the Monroe County Stings next week for the Empire Football League championship. Gallery

Chateaugay's (6) slides over for the bump on the ball to set up the spike. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks is modified volleyball action. The Bulldogs would get the easy 3-0 victory by scores of 25-4, 25-7, and 25-16. Leading the way would be an impressive serving performance by Grace Harrigan. With the win, the Bulldogs remain undefeated on the season at 10-0. Gallery
