The Peru Indians football team poses for there team photo as they celebrate there Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class B Championship. The Peru Indians would host the Beekmantown Eagles in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Championships. The Peru Indians would not leave much doubt in the game as they would take a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Then in the 2nd quarter, they would score three more times to take a 41-0 lead in the break. In the second half, the Eagles would do the best they could to keep the Indians off the scoreboard and only give up one score to make it a 48-0 final. With the lose the Eagles season comes to an end at 6-3. With the win, the Indians improve to 8-1 on the season. They will be moving on to state play next week against the Malone Huskies in Massena. The Saranac Chiefs would travel to Beekmantown to take on the Eagles in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class B Semi-Finals. The Eagles would take control right from the beginning and not look back. They would take the 14-6 lead after the first quarter. The eagles would get two more touchdowns in the second quarter to make it 28-6 at the break. Then in the second half, the Eagles would step up there defense and make the Chiefs have a few turnovers as they would into the endzone two more times to make a 42-6 final. With the win the Chiefs season comes to an end at 2-6 and the Eagles go onto the championship next week against the Peru Indians. Gallery

Empire Football League Championship: #1 Plattsburgh North Stars Vs #3 Monroe County Sting October 20 12

Plattsburgh's Brian Stanley (28) with the hard hit on the Sting wide receiver to break up the play. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Monroe County Sting in the Empire Football League Championship. The North Stars would take the lead 7-0 after the first quarter. The Sting would take the lead 8-7 at the break. In the third quarter, both team's offense would go fast down and back and would be tied at 22 as the entered the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Stings would score to more times, and their defense would shut down the Northstars offense and get the 38-22 victory to earn the Empire Football League Championship. Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Football Week 7 Saranac Chiefs Vs #6 Saranac Lake Red Storm October 13 2012

Saranac's Michael Bernardi (22) takes it through the whole and cuts to the outside and goes for the 30-yard touchdown. The Saranac Chiefs would host the #6 Saranac Lake Red Storm in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. The Red Storm would use the offense to get out to the quick 23-0 lead after the first quarter and not look back. The Red Storm would take a 36-0 lead into the break. They would get one more score in the third to get 42-0 lead. In the fourth quarter the Chiefs would score a couple times first on Michael Bernardi with the 30-yard touchdown run and then as time expired the Chiefs would get a 30-yard field goal from Tony Bushey. The Red Storm would get the 42-11 victory and finish the regular season undefeated at 7-0 while the Chiefs fall to 2-5. Next week the Red Storm will host the Ausable Valley Patriots in section 7 class C title game while the Chiefs travel to Beekmantown to take on the Eagles in the Section 7 Class B Semi-Finals. Plattsburgh's Jamil McCray (24) with the fingertip catch across the middle for the first down. The Plattsburgh North Stars would host the Watertown Red & Black in the semi-finals of the Empire Football League playoffs. The Plattsburgh North Stars would take the 7-0 lead after the first quarter thanks to the legs on Harry Rascoe. In the second the Red & Black would find the endzone but fail on the extra point and the North Stars would lead 7-6 at the intermission. In the third quarter the Red and Black would strike quick to make it 13-7. Then late in the quarter the North Stars would tie the game up on Andrew Prices catch in the corner of the endzone. Then midway through the fourth quarter, the North Stars would score on Andrew Price's second touchdown of the night on a curl route just over the line. The Plattsburgh North Stars will host the Monroe County Stings next week for the Empire Football League championship. Gallery

Saranac's Lance Hackett (8) with the diving catch in the end zone for the touchdown. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Ticonderoga Sentinels in Champlain Valley football. Ticonderoga would get the open score in the first quarter to make it 8-0. The Chiefs would score in the 2nd quarter on Lance Hackets Touchdown reception and would go into the locker room at 8-6. Then in the second half the Sentinels offense would wake up and put up 24 points and the Chiefs would get a late score to make it a 34-12 final. With the lose the Chiefs falls to 2-4 on the season as they head into the regular-season finale against the Saranac Lake Red Storm. Gallery

Saranac's Michael Bernardi (22) is taken down by the legs as he fights for extra yards around the edge. The Saranac Chiefs would travel to Peru and take on the Indians in CVAC match up between two bitter rivails. The game would be close through the openning quarter as the Indians would lead 7-0. Then in the second quarter is where the flood gates would open up and score 17 to take a 24-0 lead into the intermission. Then in second half it would be more of the same as the Chiefs were just disimatted my injuries throughout. The Peru Indians would score 27 more points and cruise to the 51-0 victory. Next week the Chiefs head back home where they will take on Ticonderoga. Gallery

Saranac's John Maye (26) fights through the leg tackle to get the extra yards needed for the first down. The Saranac Chiefs would fall short at home as they would lose 28-6. The game would remain scoreless until the three-minute mark of the second quarter when Zack Myers would find Haydin Fountain for the score and take the 8-0 lead. The Eagles would strike again with a rushing touchdown with 34 seconds left in the half and take a 14-0 lead into the locker room. Then when the teams came back out for the 2nd half the third quarter would be a track meet with the Eagles scoring twice one a Zack Myers QB sneak and on a long TD pass to Haydin Fountain. The lone Saranac score would come on a 63 TD Pass. That is where the score would remain till the end with the win Eagles go to 2-0 and the Chiefs 1-1 on the season. Gallery

The game would be an aerial assault as both teams would look to the air to make their yardage. The game would be close through the first half as the North Stars would have a narrow 23-21 lead at the break. Then in the second half, the defense would clamp down and not allow another score. With the win the North Stars improve there record to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in the EFL. Next week the North Stars are on the road at Amsterdam to take on the Zephyrs. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Josh Nephew (32) lowers the shoulder and drives over the would-be Syracuse Shock tackler. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Syracuse Shock 21-7 in a game that would be very physical and have some stellar defense. The North Stars would never trail as they would take a 14 lead into the locker room on touchdowns from Josh Nephew and Jordon Keleher. Then in second half, the Stars would add on another touchdown to get the 21-7 victory. The defense would pick of the Syracuse quarterbacks three times during the night. With the win, the Stars go to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in league play. As they will be at home again next week to take on the Montreal Voyageurs. Gallery

The North Stars would come in looking to avenge a earlier loss to the Ice Storm. The North Stars would get that revenge as they would defeat the Ice Storm by a score of 41-21. The North Stars would control the whole first half by only allowing the Ice Storm to have ten offensive plays and have a 28-7 lead at the half. In the second half the teams would trade scores as the North Stars would cruise to the 41-21 win. In the winning effort, the North Stars go to 4-3 on the season and 3-3 in league play. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars would travel down to Glens Falls to take on the Greenjackets. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Glens Falls Greenjackets 34-22 to keep control of the Mayor's Cup. The North Stars would get off to a quick start when Krys Ross would nearly run back the openning kickoff but the North Stars would score on the next play to take the lead. The teams would play equal for the rest of the half and the North Stars would actually trail 22-20 at the break. In the second half, the North Stars defense would clamp down and not allow a score and the North Stars would get the 34-22 win. With the win, the North Stars go to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league as Monroe County comes in Plattsburgh next week. Gallery

Plattsburgh's Kevin Gibson (44) turns and makes the beautiful one-handed catch and takes it all the way to the one. The Plattsburgh North Stars would defeat the Southern Vermont Storm 34-19. The Plattsburgh North Stars would start there season with many new faces and old faces in new places. As the game started you could see the changes were affecting their execution with many penalities. Although they would get it figured out and start to click. The first score of the game would come on a beautiful catch by Kevin Gibson that he would take the endzone for the lead early. Harry Rascoe would have to more touchdown passes on the day in the win.
