It would be the finals of the 22nd annual Primelink Great Northern Shootout and would feature the Middlebury Panthers and #3 Wisconsin Eau Claire Blugold. The game would start off good for the underdog Panthers as they would score 3 minutes in on the Matt Danner goal for the 1-0 lead. Although the Blugold would answer back with two goals in the first period from Nick Techel and Jard Vroman for the 2-1 lead. In the second period, the Blugold would expand there lead to 4-1 on goals from Derek Hammer and Cole Paskus. In the third period though the Panthers wouldn't go quitely as they would get two goals late from Emack Bentley and Zach Shapiro to make it tight down the stretch. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #1 Norwich Cadets in the consolation game of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout in front of 1100 fans. The Cadets would get the opening goal of the game from Coby Downs at the seven-minute mark of the first period. The Cardinals would answer back on the powerplay in the fourteenth minute with the Rich McCartney goal. Although from there the Cardinals would have no answer for number one as they would get four unanswered goals from Gabriel Chicocine, Jordan Hall and two more from Coby Downs to finish off the hat trick. Plattsburgh State's Ryan Kuhn (22) wins the inzone faceoff against Wisconsin Eau-Claire's Nick Techel (22). It would be time for the second semi-final game of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout and the host Plattsburgh State Cardinals would take on the #3 Wisconsin Eau Claire Blugood in front of 1400 fans. It would not start off good for the home team as the Blugold would score twice in the first period from Scott Munro and Jake Bresser to make it 2-0 after one. In the second period, the Cardinals wouldn't fare much better as the Blugold would get another to 3-0 on the Zach Kennedy goal. In the third period, the Cardinals wouldn't have much left as they would give up three more goals Jon Richards twice and Andrew McGlynn. Although the Cardinals would avoid the shutout on a goal by Ryan Hogg on the powerplay for the 6-1 Blugood win. In the winning effort, Wisconsin Eau Claire stays undefeated and head to the finals against Middlebury. The Middlebury Panthers as they get the game-winner in overtime to defeat the #1 Norwich Cadets at the Primelink Great Northern Shootout. #1 Norwich Cadets would matchup with rival Middlebury Panthers in the Semi-finals of the 22nd Primelink Great Northern Shootout. It would be another great game between two great teams. The game would remain scoreless through the first period. Middlebury's Matt Danner would break the ice at the 11-minute mark to give the underdog Panthers the lead. The Cadets would keep fighting and tie the game up in the final minute of the second period on the Felix Brassard powerplay goal. The game would end up going to overtime as neither team could score in the third period not for the lack of chances. In the overtime Panthers Zach Shapiro would get the game-winner on a scramble in front of the net to complete the upset victory. With the win, the Panthers go to 4-1 on the season and head to the championship while the Norwich Cadets suffer there first loss of the season and go to the consolation game. Gallery.

It would be the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hamilton Centennials in the Cardinal Classic Championship. The game would not start of the greatest for the home team as they would trail Hamilton by a score of 24-10 at the end of the first quarter. Although in the second quarter the Cardinals game would step and they would win the quarter 19-14 and cut the deficit in half at 38-29. When the teams came back from the intermission Hamilton would regain their first quarter ways and win the quarter 23-15 and extend there lead to 61-44. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would try there best but the teams would have an equal quarter and the Cardinals win the quarter 17-15 but Hamilton wins 76-61. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host North Country rival the Potsdam State Bears in SUNYAC action in front of 1500 fans. The game would start off good for the Cardinals as they would get the two opening goals from Brendan Young and Liam Lawson. Although the Bears would get one late to make it 2-1 after one. In the second period the teams would explode for 5 goals combined. In doing so the Cardinals would have a 5-3 after the second period. Scoring for the Cardinals would be Ryan Hogg, Liam Lawson, and Christian Dahl. In the third period the Bears would do there best to make the comeback but the Cardinals would get the 7-5 win with goals from Ryan Hogg and Philip Middleton. The Cardinals would not be the best of host as they score 38 seconds into the game on the Ivy Boric goal to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would answer again at the 4:36 mark of the period on the Madison Walker goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Before the period would end the Cardinals would strike two more times to make it 4-0 on goals from Holly Schmelzer and Annie Kantonka. The Cardinals would lighten up the rest of the game and get just one more at the 9:51 mark of the second period from Annie Katonka for her second of the game to make it 5-0 Cardinals. The Kangaroos would avoid the shutout with a goal by Alyssa Suzuki at the 1:54 mark of third period. The Cardinals would secure the 5-1 win and go to 7-0 on the season. The Cardinal would eventual take the 1-0 lead on the Joe Drabin goal at the 9:10 mark of the period. The Cardinals would be able to expand the lead to 2-0 four minutes later on the goal by Rich McCartney. From that point on the Cardinals would go into defensive mode and get the 2-0 win. Plattsburgh State's Ryan Hoog (19) takes a shot right to the chest after he puts the shot on net. Coming off their first win of the season, the Plattsburgh State Cardinals returned home to the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena Friday and skated to a 1-1 tie with the Blue Devils of SUNY Fredonia. The Cardinals appeared to get on the board midway through the first period, when junior Liam Lawson chased down the puck behind the Fredonia net and fed it out in front to sophomore defenseman Matt Araujo, who buried it with a one-timer. The goal was waved off, however, when officials ruled that Fredonia goaltender Anton Rosen had been interfered with on the play.The Blue Devils officially opened the scoring a few minutes later with a Victor Tracy goal past Plattsburgh goaltender Jimmy Poreda. The Cardinals responded to the goal quickly, and Araujo got his goal back three minutes later, skating around Fredonia defenseman Max Blitz to get a shot from the face-off circle.Those first-period tallies proved to be the only scores of the game, as Rosen made 45 saves on the night to keep the Cardinals from gaining the lead. Poreda made 24 saves in net for the home team.A scrum 11 seconds into the overtime period after Plattsburgh's Mitchell Hale hit Rosen behind the net resulted in 4-on-4 hockey for two minutes, and bench minor for too many players gave Plattsburgh a full power-play in the latter stages of the extra frame, but the Blue Devils restricted the Cardinals to just one shot in overtime, as Plattsburgh's powerplay went 0-for-6 in the tie game. It would be a rematch of last years ECAC Championship as the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights host the #3 Cornell Big Red in a early season tilt in front of 2900 fans. The teams would be evenly matched throughout the game as the first goal would come at the 11:15 mark when Travis Mitchell would give the Big Red the 1-0 lead. Just two minutes later the Big Red would strike again to double the lead at 2-0 on the Jeff Mallott goal. Then at the fifteen minute mark of the second period the Knights would get on the board and cut the deficit in half on the Connor McCrarthy powerplay goal. Then with just under two minutes Clarkson's Devin Brosseau would get the game tying goal. The Big Red would retake the lead at 3-2 halfway through the third period on the Cam Donaldson goal. Then in the final couple minutes the Big Red would get the empty netter to secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort the Cornell Big Red go to 5-0 while Golden Knights go to 7-3-1 on the season. It would be a matchup in the northern division of the ECHL with the Adirondack Thunder hosting the Worcester Railers on Marvel night as the teams had special jerseys for the night. The Thunder would get the opening goal of the game from Ara Nazarian at the 3:49 mark of the period. The Thunder would then score again at the 6:30 mark of the period on the Alexandre Carrier to make it a 2-0 game. That is where the game would stay til the 11:48 mark of the second when Worcester would get on the board with a goal by Cody Payne to make it 2-1. Although the one goal lead would short lived as the Thunder would score a minute and thity later on the Mike Szmatula goal to make it 3-1. The game would stay there til the 7:28 mark of the third period when Mike Salhany would score to make it 4-1. Although the railers would answer back 30 seconds later on a Matt Schmalz goal to make it 4-2. Then the Thunder would get a couple goals in the final couple minutes from Connor Riley and Ara Nazarian to secure the 6-2 victory. In the winning effort Ara Nazarian would have two goals and Evan Cormier would make 32 saves as the Thunder get the 6-2 win. In the winning effort the Thunder go to 6-4-2 on the season. Gallery.

It would be the first round of the New York State Class B Football championships and would feature the Beekmantown Eagles and the Potsdam Sandstoners. It would take til near the end of the first quarter when we would get the first score of the game from Potsdam's Will Varney on a 1 yard run with a 1:40 left and make it 6-0. The Sandstoners would strike again 11 seconds later after they recovered the onside kick and scoring on a 40 yard run to make it 12-0. Then with 1:40 left in the first half the Sandstoners Will Varney would score again on a 2 yard run to make it 18-0 at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Eagles would still not have answer for the Sandstoners. In the third quarter the Sandstoners would score two more times in the third quarter one by Will Varney and Bobby Voss for the 30-0 Sandstoners win. In the winning effort the Potsdam Sandstoners go to 8-2 and advance to the quarterfinals while the Beekmantown Eagles season comes to an end 6-3. Gallery.

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celeberate after they score one of the seven goals on the night. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Oswego State Lakers in Northeast Womens Hockey League action. The game would start of tight as the Cardinals would have the lone goal of the first period by Kaitlin Drew-Mead for the 1-0 lead. Although in the second period the Cardinals would explode for 6 goals in the period. As for goals in the period they would come from 5 different scores as Kaitlin Drew Mead would be the only one with multiple goals in the period and actual get the hat track. As for the other goal scorers it would be Sara Krauseneck, Wrin Mcardle, Maggie Blair, and Annie Katonka. The Lakers would get one in the third period to avoid the shutout. Although the Cardinals would get the 7-1 victory and go to 4-0 on the season while Lilla Nease would make ten stops to get her first college win. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Ashley Davis (1) closes off the low corner and makes the stick save. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #8 Norwich Cadets in non confere action. Before the game started the Cardinals raise there 7th national championship banner in front of 650 fans to the rafters as it would be the home opener for the season. The game would start off slow but not for the lack of trying as there were many scoring chances. The first goal of the game would come at the 8:35 mark as Anne Katonka would score to give the cardinals the 1-0 lead. Although the Cadets would answer right back about a minute later on the tying goal by Jullia Masotta. Then about a minute after that the Cardinals would regain the lead at 2-1 on Sara Wolfe goal. Then with 2:05 left in the second period the Cardinals would strike again this time with Kaitlin Drew Mead to make it 3-1 game. That would end the scoring as the defense would clamp down and the Cardinals hold on for the 3-1 win. In the winning effort Plattsburgh State coach Kevin Houle would get win 400 of his career as the Cardinals go to 3-0 on the season. Gallery.

The Moriah Vikings pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2019 New York State Section VII Class D champions. It would be the annual match up in the Section VII Class D championship. As the #1 Moriah Vikings would play the #2 Ticonderoga Sentinels. The Vikings would take the 8-0 lead at the 3:28 mark of the first quarter with a Maddox Blaise 2 yard run. The game would stay there the first play of the second quarter when Maddox Blaise gets a 3 yard run to make it 14-0 viings. Then on the next drive the Vikings would score his first of the night on a 13 yard run at 3:41 of the second quarter and take the 22-0 lead into the half. When the teams came out for the second half it would be more of the same as the Vikings would get two more touchdowns coming from Braden Swan and Todd Malbon for the 34-0 victory. In the winning effort the Moriah Vikings go to 6-3 and to the New York State Class D Playoffs as the Ticonderoga Sentinels season comes to end at 1-8. Gallery.

It would be a matchup between the Saranac Lake Red Storm and the Ausable Valley Patriots for the Section VII Class C Championship. The Patriots would strike first and quick as they would Luis Perez on 73 yard pass just 20 seconds into the game for the 8-0 lead. The Red Storm would strike right back in under a minute on a 1 yard run by Rhett Darrah to make it 8-6 2 minutes into the game. Then with 39 seconds left in the first quarter the Red Storm would score on a 84 yard pass to Jeffrey Lavair to make it 12-8 Red Storm. The Patriots would strike right back 19 seconds into the second quarter on 69 yard pass to Nate Doner to make it 14-12. Then five minutes into the quarter the Red Storm would regain the lead at 18-14 on a 28 yard pass to Jeffrey Lavair. Although Patriots would answer right back in thirty seconds on a 54 yard pass to Eli Douglas to make it 20-18 at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Red Storm would regain the lead at 24-20 on a 20 yard pass to Jeffrey Lavair. Then four minutes into the fourth quarter the Red Storm would extend there lead to 31-20 on a one yard run by Ben Munn. Although the Patriots would make a game of down the stretch as as they would hit Eli Douglas on a 45 yard pass with 6 minutes left to make it 31-26. From there though the Saranac Red Storm would hold on for the Section VII Class C title and advance to the New York State Class C Playoffs and take on the Gouvenour Wildcats. Gallery.

It would be a battle of crosstown rivals as the Beekmantown Eagles matchup with the Plattsburgh Hornets in the Section VII Class B Championships. The Hornets would take the 7-0 lead 4 minutes into the game on a 4 yard run by Ian Detuello. The Eagles would fight back to tie the game up at 7 on nine yard run by Kaden Myers two minutes into the second quarter. The Eagles would take the 14-7 lead 3 minutes into the third quarter on Kaden Myers 49 yard run. The Hornets would tie the game back up at 14 on a 54 yard pass to Ian Detulleo at the six minute mark of the third quarter. The Eagles would regain the lead at 21-13 as Kaden Myers would score for the third time on six yard run with three minutes left in the third quarter. The Hornets would answer right back with a nine yard run by Ian Detuello for his third score of the game at 21-19 with a minute left in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter though the Eagles would put the game away with two scores by Dave Dion and Kaden Myers to secure the 34-19. In the winning effort the Beekmantown Eagles go to 6-2 and have a matchup with the Potsdam Sandstoners in the New York State High School Class B Playoffs while the Hornets season comes to end at 4-5. The game would take til half way through the second period for the first goal of the game. The Knights would break the ice and take the lead 1-0 at the ten minute mark of the second period on the Chris Perna power play goal. The Cardinals would fight back and tie the game up at one a minute and half into the third period by Matt Arajuo. The game would stay there through regulation and head to overtime. In the overtime the Knights would get the game winner on the Tyson Empsey and the Cardinals would fall 2-1. In the losing effort Jimmy Poreda would make 22 saves as the Cardinals start the season at 0-2. Gallery.

It would be the season opener and start of a new era for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would host the Brockport State Golden Eagles in the season opener and first game with Steve Moffitt behind the bench. The game would be scoreless through the first period and the Eagles would get the first goal by Doc Gentzler at 1:14 of the second period on the power play. The Cardinals would respond back and tie the game at one about five minutes later on the Matt Araujo goal. Although not even a minute later the Cardinals would regain the one goal lead on the Ethan Solat goal. Then the Eagles would extend there lead to 3-1 at the 10:40 mark of the second period on the goal by Mitchell Parson. That would be the last of the scoring on the night and the Cardinals would fall 3-1 in the first game of the season.
