Then, in the closing seconds of the game, Tyler Fogu would add the empty netter for the Thoroughbreds and secure the 4-2 victory. The home Cardinals would get the first goal of the game just 2:23 in on the deflected goal by Mike English for the 1-0 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cardinals took complete control with a 46-29 half, and they walked away with an 83-58 victory as they head into the break at 4-3.
