The game would be tight throughout the first quarter and the Cardinals would have the slim 15-11 lead. In the second quarter the Eagles would play scrappy and win the quarter 17-11 and the Cardinals would trail 28-26 at halftime. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals would play shutdown defense and win the quarter 12-8 and the Cardinals would take a 38-36 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter the Cardinals would hold serve with a 16-14 quarter and the Cardinals would secure the 54-50 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would meet up with the Buffalo State Bengals to finish of a weekend doubleheader in the NEWHL in front of 345 fans. The Cardinals wouldn't waste anytime as they would get three goals in the first period from Ashley Songin, Annie Katonka and Nicole Unsworth for the 3-0 lead. In the second period the Cardinals would strike for two more coming from Mackenzie Millen and Annie Katonka to make it a 5-0 Cardinals lead. The Cardinals would add one more in the third period from Moe Tsukimoto to secure the 6-0 victory. There would be eight monster trucks at the event along with the quad racers. The monster trucks would compete in Racing, 2 Wheel Skills, Donuts and Freestyle action. As for the quad racers and would compete in standard and obstacle course racing. As for the winners on the day in monster trucks, it would be Grave Digger in racing and 2 Wheel Skills, Stinger Unleashed in Donuts and Scooby-Doo in Freestyle. As for the quad racing, it would go to Stinger Unleashed in Obstacle Racing and Bad News Travels Fast in Racing action. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Middlebury Panthers in non conference action in front of 1500 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would strike first 90 seconds into the game with Greg Malafronte for the 1-0 lead. Then at the 11 minute mark of the period the Greg Malafronte would strike again this time on the power play to make it 2-0 Cardinals lead. The Panthers would get on the board with 4 minutes left in the period to make it 2-1 Cardinals at the end of the first period. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Antonio Desyoners eight minutes into the period. The game would stay there til the third period when the Panthers would explode for five goals in the period and the Panthers would get the 6-3 victory. The Cardinals would show off there 17 ranking in the first half they would cruise out to a 38-27 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Bears would not give you up and would win the half 49-41. The game would come down to a Brandon Johnson three pointer with 1.5 seconds left in the game for the Cardinals to get the hard fought 79-76 victory. It would be a tight game through the first quarter where the Bears had the slim one point lead at 14-13. When the teams were out for the second quarter the Cardinals would would step it a little bit and win the quarter 16-13 to take a 29-27 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Bears were not going to let the Cardinals walk away and they would win the quarter 22-17 and the Bears would lead 49-46 after the third quarter. In the fourth quarter though the Cardinals would get the last word and win the quarter 26-20 and get the 72-69 victory. In the winning effort Tatlor Durnin would lead the way with 26 points as the Cardinals go to 4-8 on the season.Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celebrate as they are crowned the 2019 W.B. Mason Winter Classic champions. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the St. Anselm Hawks in the 2019 W.B. Mason Winter Classic Championship in front of 1400 people. The Cardinals would strike first and fast as Pat Egan would score just 55 seconds into the game for the 1-0 lead. The Hawks would fight back and tie the game at one with a first period goal at 14:00 with the Mike Ferraro goal. That would be all the scoring on the night through regulation and overtime and the game would finish tied at 1. Although because of the tournament the teams went to a shootout and in the fourth round Pat Egan would send the home folks home happy with the game winner. The Camels draw first with the goal from Jacob Monreau at 8:51 of the first period bto give them the 1-0 lead after the period. The game would remain there throughout as that would be the loan goal of the game. The Camels goalie Andy Gobbo would make 37 saves four the shutout. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Connecticut College Camels in front of 1400 fans in the W.B. Mason Winter Classic Semi-Finals. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game from Mike Falanga at 15:37 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Then over the next over the next 1:45 the Cardinals would add two more goals from Charles Barber and Jesse Neher and the Camels would add one as we well to make it a 3-1 game. Thats where the game would stay til the 4:13 mark of the second period when Ryan Kuhn would score to make it 4-1. Then at the 11:21 mark of the period Ryan Kuhn would score on the powerplay to make it a 5-1 game. The Camels would strike back two minutes later with a goal of there to make it 5-2. Although that would be all the scoring on the night as the teams went scoreless in third period and the Cardinals get the 5-2 victory. With the win the Cardinals advance to the finals of the W.B. The St. Anslem Hawks and the Manhattanville Valiants would face off in the semi-finals on the W.B. Mason Winter Classic. The Valiants would draw first blood with a goal at 1:19 from Matt Lippa for the 1-0 lead in the first period. The Hawks would come back and tie the game at 10:47 of the first period on the Dave Almendia goal. The Valiants would regain the 1 goal lead with 13 seconds left in the first period on the Matt Lippa second goal of the night. When the teams came back for the second period Matt Lippa would finish of the hat trick with the goal at 4:30 of the period. The Hawks would cut the lead in half with the goal by Bryan Green at 17:04 of the second period at 3-2. The Hawks would tie the game up at 3 as Sean Verrier scores in the final minute of the period. When the teams came back for the third period the Hawks would score twice in the first 6:30 of the period for the 5-3 lead. Then with 4:30 left in the game the Valiants Eric Berglund would score on the shorthand to make it a 5-4 game. Although the Hawks would ice the game away with the empty netter for the 6-4 victory.
