The game would start off well for the home Cardinals as they would get the opening goal of the game at the 9:52 mark of the first period on the Bennett Stockdale for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there all the way till the 9:45 mark of the second period when Brendan Young would score for the Cardinals and give them the 2-0 lead. The two-goal lead would be short-lived though as the Knights would get on the board two minutes later on the Domenic Garozzo goal and make it a 2-1 game. The game would stay there till the 4:32 mark of the third period when Luk Jirousek would light the lamp for the 3-1 game. Then with just over six minutes left in the game, Jake Lanyi would score for the Cardinals and make it a 4-1 lead. The Cardinals would add one more with just over thirty seconds left in the game when Carson Gallagher would get the empty netter for the 5-1 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals will advance to the SUNYAC championship and take on the top-seeded Oswego State Lakers for the conference's auto bid to the NCAA Tournament. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be looking to get back on the winning side of things after their loss the night before as they would be taking on the Geneseo State Knights in Men's Basketball action. The game would be tight throughout the first half as the Cardinals would have a slight 35-33 lead at the end of the first half. When the teams returned for the second half it would stay tight but the Cardinals would win the half 49-40 to secure the 84-73 victory. In the winning effort, the Cardinals basketball team would win their third game in the last four as Franklin Infante would lead the way for the Cardinals with 19 points as the Cardinals would go to 7-10 on the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be looking to right the ship against the Geneseo State Knights as they come in losing their last two games. Although the game would not start off very well for the Cardinals as would be trailing the Knights 23-2 after the first quarter. The Cardinals would start to get their shot going in the second quarter but it still wouldn't be enough as the Knights have a 28-11 quarter and take a 51-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned to the court for the third quarter the teams would be a lot more equal as the Knights would have the slim 16-15 advantage in the quarter and take the 67-28 lead into the 4th quarter. In the fourth, the teams would have their second strings out there in mop-up efforts and the Knights would have the 17-6 edge as they would get the 84-34 victory. In a losing effort for the Cardinals, Izzy Wilbur would lead the way for the Cardinals with 12 points as they go to 6-11 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would finish off the weekend by welcoming the #2 Genesseo State Knights into the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena for a SUNYAC off a successful night the previous night bidding for the upset. The game would start off good for the upset minded Cardinals as they would get the opening goal of the game with 4:15 left in the first period on the Cory Doney goal and the 1-0 lead. Although the lead would short lived as the Knights would tie the game just 52 seconds into the second period on the power play goal from Matthew Doran. The game would stay there all the way til the 4:28 mark of the third period when the Knights take the lead at 2-1 on the Morgan Peter goal. Although the Cardinals would not give up the fight and would get the tying goal with the extra man with just 25 seconds left in the game. The teams would head to the overtime and play three on three and there would be no decider and the game would end in a 2-2 tie. Jacob Hearne would make 35 saves on the night as the Cardinals go to 3-1-2 on the season. The Cardinals will be back in action next weekend as they will host the Fredonia Blue Devils and the Buffalo State Bengals. Gallery

The first game of the doubleheader would not start off good for the Cardinals as they would give up a rbi double in the first inning and trail 1-0. Then in the third inning, the Knights would score another three runs led by Schwartz 2 rbi triple, and make it a 4-0 game. Then in the fifth inning, the Cardinals would get on the board with a pair of runs led by Langdon rbi single and make it a 4-2 game. In the sixth inning, the Knights would take control of the game with three runs lead by Schmitz 2 rbi double, and make it a 7-2 game. In the seventh inning just add insurance on the game the Knights would get another three runs to get the 10-2 win. Then it would be onto game two of the doubleheader and it would start off good for the Cardinals as they would get a rbi double in the first by Maggiacom for the 1-0 lead. The Knights would battle back and tie the game at one on an error. Then in the fourth inning, the Cardinals would regain the lead at 2-1 on a sacrifice fly. Then in the fifth inning, the Knights would score four runs as they take the 5-2 lead led by Riccardi 2 rbi single. Then in the sixth, the Knights would add another run on the Schwartz rbi double for the 6-2 lead. Then in the bottom of the inning, the Cardinals would cut the lead in half at 6-4 on the Torres 2 rbi single. Then in the seventh inning, the Knights would put the final touches on the game with a rbi single by Kersch for the 7-4 win. In the losing effort, the Cardinals fall to 8-12 on the season. Gallery
