The #12 Peru Nighthawks would travel to Saranac Lake and take on the Red Storm in the last week of the regular season as they would look to finish off the perfect regular season. In the first quarter both teams would get on the board although the Nighthawks would have the 7-3 lead as there defense would stand tall. Although with under four minutes left in the second quarter the Red Storm would take the 10-7 lead on a 4 yard run by Connor Hewitt. The Nighthawks although would get the ball back before the half would expire and drive down the field and take the 14-10 lead in the closing minute of the half on a 5 yard run by Jack Hanson. In the third quarter the Nighthawks offense would step up and take control of the game. They would get the scoring started just 1:17 into the quarter on a 28 yard run by Jack Hanson for the 21-10 lead. The just half way through the quarter the Nighthawks would strike again this time on a ten yard run by Landon Duprey and extend the lead to 27-10. Then with under two minutes left in the quarter the Nighthawks would strike again this time on a nine yard pass to Landon Duprey to take the 34-10 lead. In the fourth quarter defense would be the name of the game as there would be no scoring and the Nighthawks would get the 34-10 lead to finish the regular season at 8-0 while the Red Storm finish at 3-4. The playoffs will get under way next weekend with the Peru Nighthawks getting a bye and will play the winner of Beekmantown and Plattsburgh for the CVAC Class B title the following weekend. While the Red Storm will host the 2-5 Ausable Valley Patriots in the CVAC Class C Semifinals with the winner getting #21 Saranac Chiefs in the CVAC Class C Championship. Gallery

Ausable Valley's Dylan Bombard (34) fights through the tackle effort of Plattsburgh's Trenton Griffiths (13) and gets the first down. It would be the last week of the regular season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and it would be a match up of one win teams as the Ausable Valley Patriots would host the Plattsburgh Hornets on hall of fame night for the Patriots. It would be a defensive game as both teams were fighting for field possession advantage and there would be no scoring in the first quarter. The Hornets would break the scoreless game four minutes into the second quarter on a 33 yard run by Trenton Griffiths for the 6-0 Hornets lead and that's where the game would end the first half at. Although the Patriots would come out in the third quarter hunger and they would get on the board just over half way through the third quarter on a 16 yard run by Dylan Bombard and take the 7-6 lead. That is where the same would stay till the closing stages of the 4th quarter when the Patriots and Dylan Bombard would strike again on a 1 yard run to extend the lead to 14-6 and from there the defense would hold strong and secure the Patriots win and go to 3-5 on the season while the Hornets fall to 1-7. With the win the Patriots will head into there CVAC Class C Semifinals game next week looking to upset the Saranac Lake Red Storm with the right to go to the Class C Finals on the line. While the Plattsburgh Hornets will head to Beekmantown and take on the Eagles in the CVAC Class B Semifinals with the right to take on the Peru Nighthawks in the finals on the line. Gallery

It would be the game of the season in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference as it would be a pair of unbeatens as the #12 Peru Nighthawks would host the #3 Moriah Vikings with the winner being crowned the regular season champion. The game would start off good for the home Nighthawks as they would break the game open in the first quarter on a 53 yard run by Jack Hanson for the 7-0 lead. In the second quarter the Nighthawks would extend there lead to 14-0 on Jack Hanson second touchdown of the game this time from 6 yard out and thats where the first half would end. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Nighthawks would strike again at the 6:12 mark on Jack Hanson third score of the game this time from 22 yards away and take the 21-0 lead. With that the defense would shut the Vikings down the rest of the game and get the 21-0 win and stay undefeated at 7-0 while the Vikings fall to 6-1 on the season. Saranac's Alex Clancy (13) gets low and wraps up Beekmantown's Louis Sweenor (32) and stop the first down. It would be the fourth week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference in what would be the game of the week as the Saranac Chiefs hosting the Beekmantown Eagles. It would be a game that would defense driven as both teams were not breaking on the field. There would be no scoring through the first quarter. The Chiefs would get on the board with 4:30 left in the half on a 34 yard feild goal by Nathan Hamel and take a 3-0 lead. Then lead would be short lived as the Eagles would strike on there next drive with a 41 yard touchdown pass to Peyton Viau for the 7-3 lead and thats where the game would stay till the half. Although the Chiefs would come out of the locker room and answer just 1:47 into the third quarter to take a 10-7 lead on a 4 yard run by Nathan Hamel. Then at the five minute mark of the third quarter the Hamel would strike again this time from 57 yards for a 17-7 lead. Then on the Eagles next drive they would get it back to a one score game on a 5 yard run by Nathan Parliment to make it a 17-14 game. From there the defenses on both side would step up and game would end there with the Chiefs getting the win to go to 4-1 while the Eagles fall to 1-4 on the season. Gallery

It would be week 4 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference and the Moriah Vikings would travel up to Plattsburgh and take on the Hornets. The Vikings would show way they are the number 3 in the state as they would get the first score of the game at the 5:41 mark of the first quarter on a 9 yard run by Riley Demarais for the 6-0 lead. Then at the 8:13 mark of the first quarter the Vikings would extend there lead to 14-0 on a 44 yard run by Brady Olcott. In the second quarter the Vikings would break the game wide open with three scores on Riley Demarais second score of the game on a 4 yard run, Boden Valentine 2 yard run and a 28 yard fumble recovery by Rowan Swan and take a 36-0 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half you could tell the Vikings had turned down the wick as they would get a lone score from Keegan Callahan. While the Hornets would get on the board late in the game on a run by Trenton Griffiths. With the Vikings would secure the 43-6 win and stay undefeated at 4-0 while the Hornets fall to 0-5 on the season. Gallery

It would be the fourth week of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season and we will see crosstown rivals as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Nighthawks for the bragging rights. The Nighthawks would get the game going just 5:20 in on a 8 yard run by Jack Hanson for the 7-0 lead. On the first offensive play for the Hornets the defense for the Nighthawks would strike with a pick sick by Rocky Hebert and take the quick 14-0 lead. Then two finish off the two minute scoring outburst for the Nighthawks Landon Duprey would score from 25 yards out for a 20-0 lead and that's of the first quarter would come to an end. In the second quarter the Nighthawks would strike for a pair of touchdowns coming from Jack Hanson and Landon Duprey both getting there second score of the game and take a 34-0 lead into the halftime break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Nighthawks would keep there foot on the gas as they would get a couple more scores again from Hanson and Duprey giving them both three on the game and 48-0 lead. Although in the final minute of the quarter the Hornets would find a spark and break out a 50 yard run and score from Gavin Labounty and breakup the shutout and make it a 48-6 game. In the fourth quarter the Nighthawks would get one more on a seven yard run by Keith Parent and secure the 55-6 victory. In the winning effort the Nighthawks head to 4-0 on the season as they head into there meeting with the Saranac Chiefs. The Plattsburgh Hornets celeberate as they get the opening goal of the game and take a 1-0 lead. It would be the classic rivalry in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Boy's Soccer as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Nighthawks. The host Hornets would get the opening goal of the game as they would take the 1-0 Momin Khan would score in the 18th minute. Then in the final two minutes of the half the Hornets would extend there lead 2-0 on Owen Mulligan. When the teams came back for the second half the Hornets would strike again in the 51st minute to take a 3-0 lead on Owen Mulligain's second goal of the game. Then in the 62nd minute the Hornets would put the finishing touches on the game as Momin Khan would beat the goalie again and take the 4-0 lead and from there the Hornets would on for the win. The Knights get there third goal of the game to retake the two goal lead in the closing stages of the game to secure the victory. It would be a interleague tilt as the Seton Catholic Knights from the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference would host the Saranac Lake Red Storm from the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference in Girl's Soccer action. The game would start off good for the Knights as they would get two unaswered in the first half and take a 2-0 lead into the break. In the second half the teams would trade a pair of goals. With that the Seton Catholic Knights would hold for the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort the Knights would get there first win of the season at 1-2 while the Red Storm fall to 2-3 on the season. Peru's Conner Perrotte with the save on Plattsburgh's Luka Meyers that had the ball labeled for the top shelf. We would have a special edition tonight as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Peru Nighthawks in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference JV action. The home Hornets would get off to a quick start as they would score in the third minute of the game from Luca Meyers and take the 1-0 lead. Then in the tenth minute the Hornets would extend there lead to 2-0 as Luxa Meyers would strike again. In the 16th minute the Nighthawks would cut the lead in half and make it a one goal game again on the goal from Collin Powers. Then in the 34th minute the Hornets would regain the two goal lead on the hat trick goal from Luca Meyers. In the winning effort the Hornets head to 4-1 while the Nighthawks fall to 3-1-1 on the early season. Gallery

The Boquet Valley Griffins celebberate as they get the game winner in overtime to beat the Seton Catholic Knights. It would be a matchup inside the Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference as the Seton Catholic Knights would host the Boquet Valley Griffins in Section VII action. The game would be tight through the first half as each team would send a shot of the post that could have gave them the lead. Although when the teams came out for the second half the Griffins would get the opening goal as Braden Liberi would beat the Knights goalie. The Knights would waste little time getting the equalizer as Aiden Pearl would break down the field and beat the goalie in the 48th minute. The game would remain there through the rest of regulation and the teams would head to overtime. In that overtime period Braden Liberi would strike again off a rebound in the 95th minute to get the 2-1 victory. With the win the Griffins go to 3-1 on the season while the Knights fall to 0-4 on the season Gallery.
