The Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks are crowned the 2025 Adirondack Winter Invitational champions with the 3-2 win over the Clarkson Golden Knights. It would be the 4th and final game of the 2025 Adirondack Winter Invitational, and a title would be on the line as the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and the Clarkson Golden Knights would battle at the Herb Brooks Arena in front of 1,600 fans. The Nanooks would strike fast, taking a 1-0 lead just 2:11 into the game on Michael Citara's goal. The lead would be short-lived, as the Golden Knights answered back in the 6th minute with a Matthew Mayich goal, tying the game at 1. Then, with just 90 seconds left in the period, the Golden Knights would take a 2-1 lead on Jace Letourneau's goal. The Nanooks would keep fighting, and they would get the equalizer at the 8:48 mark of the second period on Michael CCitara'ssecond goal of the contest The game would stay there till the 17:28 mark of the third period, when Rylen Roersma would give the Nanooks the 3-2 lead and eventual game winner, as the Golden Knights wouldn'tt have an answer in the closing minute,s as the Nanooks wouldget the w In thewinningg effort for the Nanook,s Lassi Lehti would make 21 saves as they are crowned the 3rd annual Adirondack WinterInvitationall champions. As for the Golden Knight, they would come up short once again, as Shane Soderwall made 18 saves on the evening, and they fell to 5-11-1 on the season. Gallery

Mass-Lowell Riverhawks Vs St. Lawrence Saints November 29th 2025

Mass-Lowell's Dylan Bentley (19) drops to a knee as he rifles it past St. Lawrence Colin Winn(31) for the goal that would be the game-winner. It would be the second day of the Adirondack Winter Invitational presented by the Golden Arrow Resort, and we would start with the Consolation Game between the St. Lawrence Saints and the UMass Lowell Riverhawks in front of 1,385 fans at the Herb Brooks Arena. The game would start well for the Riverhawks, as they got the opening goal just 6:33 in from Dillan Bentley to give them the early lead. The Riverhawks would keep it going, extending their lead to 2-0 on Dalyn Wakelly's goal at the 13:39 mark of the 1st. The Saints would keep fighting back and score three goals in four minutes over the last 6 minutes of the first period to take the 3-2 lead into the intermission on goals from Cayden Casey, Rasmus Santilli, and Sam Frandina. The game would stay there until the 11:53 mark of the second period, when the Riverhawks would tie the game at three on Dalyn Wakely's 2nd goal of the evening. With 30 seconds left in the second period, the Riverhawks would regain the lead at 4-3 on the Jay Ahearn goal. The Riverhawks would keep it going early in the third period when Dillian Bently would get his second of the night to give the two goal lead again 5-3 at the 3:22 mark of the period. Then, at the 13:13 mark of the third period, the Riverhawks would make it 6-3 on one Chris Delaney goal. Then, with 14 seconds left in the game, Dalyn Wakely would complete his hat trick and cap off a 7-3 win for the Riverhounds, who finished the game with an unanswered goal. In the Riverhawks' winning effort, they will go to 5-8 on the seas. Austin Elliott made 40 saves. As for the St. Lawrence Saints, they will fall to 2-12-1 on the season, as CWinn made 40 saves on the evening. Gallery

Clarkson's Justin Cote (92) puts it over the goalie's shoulder for the goal as they get the 2-0 victory. The Clarkson Golden Knights and the Massachusetts Lowell Riverhawks would meet up for the second year in a row at the Adirondack Winter Invitational at the Herb Brooks Arena in front of 1200 fans, as the Golden Knights would look to avenge their loss in the title game last year. The game would remain scoreless till the 6:15 mark of the second period when Ryan Bottrill would light the lamp for the Golden Knights' 1-0 lead. The Golden Knights would keep coming, and they would extend their lead to 2-0 at the 13:37 mark of the second period. Justin Cote would find the net. From there, the Golden Knights ' defense would stand tall. Shane Soderwall would make 21 saves for the shutout victory as the Golden Knights go to 5-10 on the season. As for the Riverhawks, Austin Elliott made 29 saves as the Riverhawks fell to 5-8 on the season. Both teams will be back in action tomorrow as the Clarkson Golden Knights will go for the title against the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks, while the Riverhawks will battle the St. Lawrence Saints for third place. Alaska's Lassi Lehti (35) with the glove save as part of 19 save night for the shutot victory. It would be the opening game of the third edition of the Adirondack Winter Invitational from the Herb Brooks Arena, and it would feature the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks and the St. Lawrence Saints in front of nearly 1100 fans. It would take until the 1:25 mark of the second period for the opening goal of the game, as William Fleet would score for the Nanooks to get them a 1-0 lead in the second period. The first period would be very defensive. The game didn't last long, as the Nanooks made it 2-0 at the 6:40 mark of the period when Michael Citara scored. The game would stay there as the Nanooks earned a 2-0 victory and played for the crown in the Adirondack Winter Invitational tomorrow. In the Nanooks' winning effort, Lassi Lethi made 19 saves for the shutout, as they go to 3-8-1 on the season. As for the Saints, they would fall to 2-12-1, as Colin Winn made 23 saves. The Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks will play the late game tomorrow against the Clarkson Golden Knights, while Stt. Lawrence Saints will play the early game against the Massachusetts River Hawks. Gallery

The celebration is on as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals get the game-winner in overtime from Thierry Lizotte for the 3-2 win. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would face off against the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC Men's Hockey, celebrating their 50th anniversary season in front of 1,600 fans. The Cardinals would jump out to a 1-0 lead just 5:18 into the game on the Jake Sacratini goal. The game would stay there till the 5:08 mark of the second period when the Red Dragons would get the qualifier from Morley Phillips. Then, just 2:16 later, the Red Dragons would take the lead at 2-1 on the Matthew Despirit goal. The game would stay there until just 45 seconds into the third period, when the Cardinals would tie the game on Lonan Bulger's goal at 2. In overtime, the Cardinals would get the game-winner on a 2 1 breakout play when Thierry Lizotte would tap in the rebound for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 29 saves as they evened up their record at 3-3 as they entered their annual Thanksgiving weekend tournament at Middlebury. As for the Cortland Red Dragons, Shane Shelest would make 25 saves as they fall to 4-3-1 on the season. Gallery

The Schuylerville Horses are crowned the 2025 Class North Region Champions with the 50-14 victory. It would be a battle of top-20enty teams in the state as the #4 Schuylerville Horses would take on the #18 Saranac Spartans in the NYSPHSAA Class C North Region Final from Plattsburgh, with the winner advancing to the final four. The Horse would get out of the gate first and quickly, with a 1-yard run from Max Montgomery for the 6-0 lead at the 4:25 mark of the first quarter. The Horses would keep it going as Max Montgomery would add his second touchdown of the quarter this time from 7 yards at the 9:47 mark for the 14-0 lead. The Horses would keep it going in the second quarter, when Max Montgomery would get his third touchdown of the game his time from seven yards out at the 3:30 mark, making it a 20-0 ggame and that's where the game would be at the ahalf The Horses kept it going when they returned for the third quarter, when Max Montgomery scored his fourth of the game and made it 28-0 at the 4:20 mark. Then, with 40 seconds left in the quarter, the Horses would extend their lead, and Blake Cumm would take it 11 yards out to make it a 36-0 game at the end of the third quarter. The Spartans would finally have an answer when Tanner Fields picked up the fumble and took it 39 yards for the score at 1:50 of the fourth quarter,, making it a 36-7 game The Horses would answer back, though, as Levi Michuad would break it for a 55-yard run and make it a 42-7 game at the 6:50 mark of the fourth. Then, in the ensuing kickoff, Sam Lachre would take it 67 yards for the score and make it 4a 2-14 game. Although the Horses would have one more answer, as Levi Michuad would break again, this time for 44 yards, they would close out the game and take the 50-14 victory. In the winning effort, Schuylerville Horses would stay undefeated at 11-0 as they head to the final four. As for the Saranac Spartan, their season will end at 7-4. Gallery

It would be the 6th annual teddy bear toss night to benefit the local youth, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would get the home portion of their SUNYAC season underway against the Morrisville State Mustangs in front of 1600 fans. The Cardinals would get the scoring going quickly, letting the fans launch the bears, as Aaron Catron scored at the 3:08 mark of the first period for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there all the way to the third period when Tyler Zembryzycki would score for the Mustangs at the 7:18 mark to tie the game at one. Then the Mustangs would take the lead just 35 seconds later when Connor Santay would score to give the Mustangs the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would keep fighting through the rest of the period, but they would not have an answer to give the Mustangs the 2-1 victory and their first conference win in their last 18 games. In the winning effort, Chad Lowe would make 43 saves as they go to 2-2-2 on the season. As for the Cardinals, Brady Spry made 24 saves as they fell to 2-3 on the season. Gallery

Jefferson Community College's Jaydon Koiner (3) takes flight as he drives to the hoop for the score in the 88-78 victory. We would have NJCAA Division III Region III Men's Basketball from Clinton Community College, with the home Cougars hosting the visiting Jefferson Community College Cannoneers, who would get back on the winning track after yesterday's loss to Onondaga Community College. The game would be tight through the first half as the teams would trade the lead back and forth, and when the intermission hit, the Cannoners would have the slim 36-34 lead. When the teams returned for the second half, the Cannoners would explode out of the gate and take a quick 16-point lead and look to have the game in hand. Although the Cougars would give everything they could to get back in the game and, at one point, had it within four in the closing minutes, the Cannoners would win the half 52-44 and secure the 88-78 win. In the winning effort for the Cannoners, they would go to 2-4 on the season, while the Cougars fell to 2-3 on the early season. Gallery

It would be the #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Buffalo State Bengals in women's hockey SUNYAC action in front of 400 fans. The Cardinals would waste little time getting the opening goal of the game at the 8:41 mark of the first period from Kayson Ruegge, and from there, defense would be the name of the game as it would be the lone goal of the game, but the Bengals would be held to just 12 shots on net. In the winning effort, Chloe Lewis made 12 saves in the shutout victory, as the Buffalo State Bengals go to 3-1 on the season, while the Buffalo State Bengals fall to 3-3. The Cardinals will be back in action next weekend, taking to the road to face the Morrisville State Mustangs and the Cortland State Red Dragons. Gallery
