DNA Motorsports Presents Franklin County Fair Demolition Derby August 3rd 2024

Tom Pickering (6) and Michael Wright (76) go back bumper to bumper as they battle for the win in the Semi Stock Compact Main as Pickering would get the best of him that night. It would be the return of the annual demolition derby at the Franklin County Fair and for the second year in a row, it would be run by DNA Motorsports for the first time in nearly 30 years the demolition derby would be back to a one-day show with all the classes competing starting at 2 pm and going til they ran all. As normal for the Franklin County Fair Demolition Derby, it would start with the kids' power wheel derby and then they would have their induction into the demolition derby Hall of Fame this year there would be three new members to the hall. As for the action on the track it would start with a pair of powder puff classes in the compact and the full-size division with the St. Marys taking the crown. Then it would be onto the heats for the stock and full-size cars. Then we would eventually get to the mains on the night and the first one would be the vans and the winner on this night would be Travis Aiken. Then it would be onto the bone stock full-size cars and the winner would be Robert Begor as it would come down to him and Jerry Streeter at the end. Then it would be onto the truck feature and they would keep it in the family as it will come down to father and son and Brad Wheeler would get the win. Then we would have the stock compact feature and the winner on the night would be Devon LaFlesh over a pair of the King boys. Then we would have the Semi Stock Compact feature and we would see Tom Pickering getting the win. Then to finish off the night off smashing and crashing we would have the semi-stock full size and when the dust settled it would come down to a Barney and Stockwell with the win going to Eric Stockwell. The next derby that these guys will be looking at will either be at the Vermont State Fair in Rutland, Vermont, or the Essex County Fair in Westport, NY the weekend of August 16th-18th both being presented by DNA Motorsports. Bucko Branham (20) comes across under the checkered flag to get his first win of the season in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified over Joet Scarbrough. It would be another Thursday Night Thunder from Airborne Park Speedway and this time we would have the added American Racer North 358 Series for 60 laps and $3250 to the winner along with the weekly divisions with the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, 9th State Cannabis Renegades, and the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks. After all the heat races were done it would be onto the mains and the first one up would be the American Racer North 358 Series for 60 laps and the 18 car field. The night would see former Airborne Park Speedway champion Chris Raabe start on the front row and he would be gone the race would be to see who was second as David Hebert Mike Mahaney and Felix Roy and second would end up being Hebert. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for the 25-lap event which would take a bit to get going with a couple of early cautions. It would see Caleb Durgan once again get off to the early lead but Tanner Forbes would stay on him for most of the race. Still, there would be a couple of hard chargers coming from the middle of the pack in the likes of Joey Scarbrough and Bucko Branham and in the end, Bucko Branham would get the win for his first of the season as Scarbrough would finish second but be the hard charger of the race moving up 14 spots on the night. Then it would be onto the 9th State Cannabis Renegades and their 20-lap affair and see Tyler Irwin get the lead off the start of the race. Still, there would be a fire brewing in the back of the field as Tyor Terry would come charging from the 9th starting spot to lead to get his second straight race win of the season as Nathaniel Guay and Richie Turner would round out the top three. Then to finish off the night it would be the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks with their A and B Mains. The A Main would see Ed Goodeau get the early lead of the start but there would be a storm brewing behind him as Kris Clark would come up from the last place starting spot to get the win for the second week in a row as Speedy Bressette and Ryan Senecal would round out the top three. The next finish of the night would be the B Main for 6 laps and Kyle Botala got the lead of the start but Jamie Whitney would come up from the fifth starting spot to get his second B Main win in a row. Dirt Track Racing: Kid's Bike Ride Night @ Airborne Park Speedway July 18th 2024

Mike Phinney (38) and Joey Scarbrough (11) go into turn 1 wheel to wheel as they battle for the lead late in the race for the 25-lap J+S Steel Sportsman Modified win which would go to Phinney on this day for his first win of the season. We would be back in action at Airborne Park Speedway with Kid's Bike Night as they would return after taking a week off for the Clinton County Fair. To make the return to the track all four divisions would be in action with the Be Cool Heating and Air Condition 358 Modifieds, J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, 9th State Cannabis, and the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks there would be around 85 cars in the pits. After the heats races were run and before the mains were run there would be kid bike races along with the race car drivers driving the bikes. As for the racing on track, we would start with the mains with the Be Cool Heating and Air Condition 358 Modifieds and it would be a wire-to-wire win for Steve Bernier as he would be on a rail and lap up to the seventh place rounding out the top three would be Felix Roy and Justin Stone. Then it would be on to the 25-lap event for the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and the early race leader would be Caleb Durgan but then the race would be on between him and Mike Phinney for the lead and Phinney would take the race lead. Then with five laps to go there would be multiple restarts due to incidents on the track and the hard-charging Joey Scarbrough would have multiple chances to take the lead. Still, Phinney would hold them off to get his first win of the season over Joey Scarbrough and Travis Bruno. Then we would be onto the 9th State Cannabis Renegades and their 20-lap affair and see Shawn Fountain take the lead off the start but the lead would be short-lived as Richie Turner would get around him for the lead. Then the racing would get good between him and Shawn Duquette as they went side by side for many laps until Duquette would move ahead for the lead and the eventual win over Richie Turner and Josh Terry. Then to finish off the night it would be the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks for there 15 lap main and would see Jason Bradley get the early lead until his car died coming off the fourth turn Glen Engstrom would inherit the lead but there would be a hard charger coming and Kris Clark would get the win from his 13th starting spot over Josh Blake and Cale Manor. Then in the B Main, it would see Cody Agoney get the lead but he would be passed by Jamie Whitney Jr as he would get his first career win. The Airborne Park Speedway will be back in action next Thursday as the American Racer North 358 Modified Series will make its first-ever appearance at the track for 60 laps all with the other weekly division. Clinton County Fair Demolition Derby July 13th 2024

Terry Martineau (0) and Kyle Doner (85) go back to back during one of the heats for the Stock Compact divisions and it folds the trunk of the Doner car right up. It would be the annual return of the Demolition Derby at the Clinton County Fair and there would be around 100 entries in the pits to part in everything from the lawn tractors to the Economy Full Size V-8 cars. They would run all the heat races in the afternoon session to set up the features and the last-chance qualifiers for the evening show. The first feature out of the box would be the van feature and when the smashing and crashing would slow down there would be two left running it would be a matchup between Alex Martin and Zach Rondeau and in the end the winner of the $1,000 would be Alex Martin. Then we would have the full-size trucks taking on the two modified v8 cars that showed up and in the end, there would be 2 going after the cold hard cash of $1,000 and it would be Eli Beshaw over Benjamin Kennedy for the win. Then we would have our new class the Economy Full Size cars with three entries and in the end they would keep it between the family as the Beshaw's would go after the first place trophy and prize money and the winner would be Tommy Beshaw. Then it would be onto the semi-stock compact car feature and there would be 9 cars entered in the end it would come down to a couple of cagey veterans with Allen Fountain and Terry Reno and in the end, Fountain would get his first feature win the $2,000 that goes with it. Then to finish the night it would be the Stock Compact feature which had 23 cars that qualified for it but only 14 were able to make the call they would put on a great show for about ten minutes for the crowd and in the end Zack Provost would get the win over Brandon Lamere and take home the hardware and $2,000. Most of these derby drivers will be back in action in a couple of weeks for the Franklin County Fair Demolition Derby on August 3rd. Gallery

Versus Monster Truck Tour @ Clinton County Fair July 12th 2024 Afternoon

Virginia Giant and Hurricane Force would launch over the cars during the semi-finals of side-by-side racing that would see Hurricane Force get the win. It would be the first of two shows on the day for the annual return of the Monster Trucks with the Versus Monster Truck Tour but with a twist this season as it would be a completely different lineup of trucks compared to years past with Aggravated Assault, Metal Monster, Hurricane Force, Loud and Dirty, Sabotage and Virginia Giant as they battle the course. The first event up would be qualifying and racing on two different tracks as they would qualify on a U Shape track and racing would be on Straight Line but in the end, it wouldn't matter as Hurricane Force would take quick time and win racing over Loud and Dirty to take the early event lead. Then we would have the two-wheel skills competition and the winner once again would be Steve Thompson and Hurricane Force with his moonwalk that would see him slightly overrotate and end with rubber side up. Then after the intermission, the track would be set up for every popular axle snapping wheelie popping freestyle action and the crowd ever have a treat with the areil assault between Hurricane Force and Loud and Dirty but in the end by crowd applause Hurricane Force would complete the afternoon show sweep. Versus Monster Truck Tour @ Clinton County Fair July 12th 2024 Evening

Hurricane Force and Steve Thompson perform the stoppie without a shell on the truck for everyone to see the truck. It would be the second show of the day from the Clinton County Fair for the Versus Monster Trucks Tour as they battle it out in two-wheel skills, racing, and freestyle action. The trucks in attendance would be Aggravated Assault, Metal Monster, Hurricane Force, Virginia Giant, and Sabotage. First up for the evening would be racing and with humid conditions on the track the trucks were having trouble running it would be a battle just to keep going and we would have an upset winner with Metal Monster getting his first-ever racing win over Loud and Dirty. Then we would have the two-wheel skills contest and for the second time on the day, the winner would be Hurricane Force and Steve Thompson with the stoppie. Then to finish off the night it would be the popular wheelie poppie axle snapping high-flying freestyle action and the winner on this night for the second time would be Hurricane Force over Loud and Dirty. The Versus Monster Truck Tour will continue its carnival ride in a couple of weeks as they head to the Herkimer County Fairgrounds on July 26th and 27th for another high-excitement weekend of action. Lucky E Rodeo (IPRA.APRA): Clinton County Fair Pro Rodeo July 9th 2024

Nathan Santos would get bucked off the magic mike short of the 8 seconds into the fence as none of the three bull riders would be able to complete the eight seconds on this day. It would be the first Clinton County Fair Pro Rodeo in association with the Lucky E Rodeo the International Pro Rodeo Association (IPRA) and the American Pro Rodeo Association (APRA) on the opening day of the 2024 Clinton County Fair. It would be a good crowd as they would show off eight disciplines of action from the Rodeo with the Bareback and Saddle Bronc Bucking, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Breakaway Roping, Barrell Racing, and Bull Riding. The night would start off the Bareback Riding and there would be a tie on the night at 74 between Bucky Mealpine and Matthew Smith. Then we would be onto the Team Roping the win would go to the brother duo of Chase and Shawn Quinn as they would have the only clean run of the night at 7.3. There would be no winner on the night in the Saddle Bronc as there would only be one competitor on the night and there would be no winner as he would get bucked off. Then it would be the newest aspect of the rodeo breakaway roping for the ladies and the winner would be Pepper Cook with a time of 3.6. Then we would have some wrestling at the rodeo as the cowboys would wrestle the steers and the winner on the night would be Coy Dyer with one of the slowest runs you will see for the win with a 28.1. Then it would be the Tie Down Roping and the winner on the night would be Trent Turner with the time of 9.8. Then the leads would hit the arena for the second time with the Barrell Racing and the winner would be April McMasters. Then to finish the night it would be the popular bull riding and there would be three riders on the night but no one could last the 8 seconds so there would be no winner. Now we will wait to see if the Lucky E Rodeo and the second Clinton County Fair Pro Rodeo will be back next year. Gallery

Dirt Track Racing: Kid's Rides Night @ Airborne Park Speedway June 27th 2024

After nearly two weeks off at the Airborne Speedway, the track would come back to life with Thursday Night Thunder with the track's four main divisions the Be Cool Heating and AC 358 Modifieds, J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, 9th State Cannabis Renegades and the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks along with it being the popular rides night. After the heats and the last chance qualifiers were in the books it would be onto the features on the evening and the first one on tap for the night would be the Be Cool Heating and AC 358 Modifieds for their 30-lap race it would take the race a little bit to get going as there would be a few early race cautions but when it did would see a battle up front between Justin Stone and Mike Mahaney and in the end the win would go to Justin Stone as it would be his first career win inside a 358 Modified. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and there 25 lap race for most of the race it would be a battle between Charlotte Morin and Pat Miner but there would be caution as the teams were coming to the checkered and it would setup a 2 lap showdown and in the end they would not get a great start and the battle would be on between Donovan Lussier and Nick Heywood with Lussier coming out on top for the third time this season. Then we would have the 9th State Cannabis Renegades for 20 laps and see early season points leader Tylor Terry have a problem in the early portions of the race and get credited with a last-place finish. As for the race up front for the checkered flag, it would see Zack Daniels making a late race charge on Nathaniel Guay but it would come up short as Nathaniel Guay would get his second win of the season. Then to finish off the night it would be a pair of features for the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks in the first feature it would be a battle up front between Rich Doner, Nick Harden, and Kris Clark with the win going to Doner for the first win of the season. Then in the second feature, it would be a wire-to-wire win for Caleb Tourville to finish the night. The track will be back in action on July 3rd with their Independence Day Spectacular as they celebrate the 70th anniversary of Airborne Park Speedway. Gallery

Nick Heywood (29) and Bucko Branham battle it out for the lead in the Firecracker 44 but in the end, it would be Nick Heywood getting the win and the two thousand dollars. It would be a jammed-packed night of racing at the Airborne Park Speedway with around 110 cars in the pits as we celebrate Independence Day and the 70th anniversary of the speedway. The J+S Steel Sportsman Modified would be the featured attraction on the night with the Firecracker 44 2k to win race along with the Pro Stocks 1k to win and the Renegades and Mini Stocks. The night would start with time trails for the Sportsman Modified and the fastest time would go to Donovan Lussier. Then there would be the heat races for the Sportsman Modified and the Pro Stocks and then onto the features. The first feature out of the box would be 1 of the 2 for Moore Recycling Mini Stocks and would see Glen Engstrom get the lead off the start but there would be a charger coming from mid-pack and get the lead and pull away as Speedy Bressette would get his second win on the season. Then next up would be the 9th State Cannabis Renegades 25 lap main and Travis Stokes would get the lead off the start but there would be a pair of cats that would come charging from the middle of the pack as Tylor Terry and Shawn Duquette would charge up putting a show on for the fans and in the end, Tylor Terry would get the win over Shawn Duquette and Bill Thwaits to finish off the top 3. Then we would have the Last Chance Qualifier for the Sportsman Modified would see 14 take the green and we would take 6 to the main and Evan Roberts would get the win over Craig Wholey, Anthony Warren, Eric Shaw, Matt Lavalley, Geoege Foley as they transfer to the main event. Then we would have the second feature on the night for the Moore Recycling Mini Stocks and we would keep it in the family as Steven Bressette would get the win over Rick Doner and Caleb Tourville. Next up would be the Pro Stocks 25 lapper with 1 thousand going to the winner. The race would take a pit to get going as there were a couple of early race accidents on the track but when things got settled out there would be a show-up front for the ages with Luke Horning and Marc Lalonde and when they crossed the line Cousin Luke would get the win by 12 thousand of a second. Then we would have the fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July as they would put on a great show for nearly 30 minutes. Then it would be time for the main event of the evening with the Sportsman Modified Firecracker 44 and the two thousand to win it would be a battle between the USA and Canada on this fourth of July and it would be between Nick Heywood and Gabriel Cyr and when the checkered flag flew it would be Nick Heywood for the win. Then the rains would fall ending the night before the Enduro could be run but that has been rescheduled for the August 10th show. The racetrack will be silent next week as they take the week off for the Clinton County Fair but they will be back racing July 18th. Gallery

Dirt Track Racing: Drapeau Santantion Hebret Lawn Care Sportsman Modified Topless Night @ Airborne Park Speedway June 15th 2024

Justin Williams (10w) and Pierre Oliver Trudel (3) battle for the lead as the Mod Lites make there return to take the track after five years away and Justin Williams would get the win. The Airborne Park Speedway would come back to life Saturday night after being quiet for the last two weeks and would it ever be alive as there would be six divisions on Dapeau Sanitation and Hebret Lawn Care Night with the Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Renegades, Mod Lites, Mini Stocks, and the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds in action. After all the heat races on this long night of racing in front of a packed house, it would be onto the features. The first feature would be the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modifieds and they would have 12 cars on track in their four divisions and the winners would be Jack Miller, Joe Rando, Merv Blackwell, and George Karl. Then it would be on the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified on a topless night as they would go 30 laps for $1,200 to win on this night. The crowd favored Bucko Branham would get the early lead at the start of the race but there would be a charge coming from Nick Heywood and he would take the lead from the professor on this night. There would be a restart with about ten laps to go and it would be Heywood and Scarbrough on the front row they would go back and forth for a few laps but Joey Scarbrough would get around Heywood for his first win of the season and close the points to nine behind Nick Heywood in the early part of the season. Then next up it would be the return of the Mod Lites to Airborne as they return after five years and it would be a clinic up front by Justin Williams as he would get the 25-lap win over Pierre Oliver Trudel and Alex Forcier. Then it would be the first appearance of the season for the Pro Stocks and they would bring in 19 for there 25 lap event it would see Bastien Caron get the lead at the start of the race but there would be a charge from a local racer Zack Daniels to get the lead and he would hold the lead to the front stretch on the final lap when the caution would come out and set up a green white checker. With that green-white-checkered finish, it would be on between Burton Ward and Marc Lalonde, and going to the 3/4 corner on the first lap Ward and Lalonde would get under Daniels for the lead, and then the race would be onto the checkered and it would see Burton Ward get the win. Then it would be time for the 9th State Cannabis Renegades for there 20 lap event and it would take Josh Terry a short time to get up front for the lead and race with that the race would be on upfront between the family as brother Tylor would be right behind him battling for the win and the win would go to Josh Terry for his second win of the season. Then it would be onto the final division of the Mini Stocks and as normal there would be a pair of features for them on the night with 37 cars in the pits. First up would be there A feature for 15 laps and it would see Brett Manor get the early lead and from there he would hold off the charge from the father/son duo of Caleb and Kenny Tourville for his first career win. Then to finish off the night it would be the Mini Stock B Feature and it would see Steve Bressette charge from his 11th place starting position up to the win after he would be on his lid in his heat race to salvage the night. The Airborne Park Speedway will be back alive this Thursday night June 20th as all divisions will be in action along with it being kid's ride night. Gallery
