The Cardinals would waste little time taking the 1-0 lead on Paul Fregeau's goal at 3:09 of the first period. Then just over three minutes later Paul Fregeau would score again to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Then at the 10:17 mark of the first Cardinal's Aryton Valente would score to make it 3-0 at the first intermission. The game would stay there until the 13:47 mark of the second period when Cardinal's Josh Koerner would score to make it 4-0. The game would stay there until the 7:43 mark of the third period when Paul Fegeau would finish the scoring and hat trick on the night. Plattsburgh State's Spencer Finney (31) throws out the pad to make the pad save one of his 19 saves on the night. The #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC foe Cortland State Red Dragons. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead at 6:59 of the first period on Rich Botting's goal. Then about 90 seconds later the Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Connor Toomey's goal. Then to close out the period at the 16:59 mark the Cardinals would make it 3-0 on Michael Cassidy's goal. Then just seven seconds into the second period the Cardinals would make it 4-0 on Kyle Hall's shorthanded goal. Then at the 2:19 mark of the second period, Patrick Hermans would make it 5-0. The game would stay there till the 1:38 mark of the third period when Luke Baleshta would make it 6-0. Then finally at the 16:46 mark of the period, Cortland State would get on the board with Nick Zappia's goal. In the overtime, the Red Dragons would hit a 2 pointer with 2.4 seconds left to win it 94-92.
