Seton Catholic's Cooper Metcalf with the fingertip save on the shot from Northern Adirondack's Ze'jon Taylor (3). It would be a battle inside the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference of section vii as the Seton Catholic Knights would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats at the St. Peter's field. The Bobcats would get the opening goal of the game in the final five minutes of the first half on the Caleb Damour goal to make it 1-0 Bobcats as they head into the half. When the teams came back for the second half it would stay tight but the Bobcats would expand there lead to 2-0 in the 53rd minute on the goal from Tristin Lagree with the assist going to Kyle Reif. Then just a few minutes later the Bobcats would add another to make it a 3-0 game on the Calvin Magoon goal from Austin Lambert. From there the Bobcats would hold on for the 3-0 victory as they go to 2-1 and the Knights fall to 1-1 on the early season. Gallery.

Northern Adirondack's Rhylee Poupure (11) with the three from the wing to keep the Bobcats hot. It would be the first championship of championship weekend as the #1 Northern Adirondack Bobcats would do battle with the #2 Ausable Valley Patriots for the Section VII Class C Championship. The first quarter would be very low scoring as there seemed like there was a lid on the basket as the Bobcats would have a low scoring 6-2 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would start to find a little easier as they would win the quarter 11-5 and take a 17-7 lead into the intermission. The break would do the Patriots will as they would come back with a good offense output and a 14-11 quarter but would trail in the game 25-21. In the fourth quarter, the Patriots would do their best to cut into the lead but the deficit from the second quarter would be too much as they would win the quarter 15-14 although the Bobcats would hold on for the 42-36 victory. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats advance to the NYSPHSAA Class C Girl's Tournament and will play Madrid-Waddington on March 9th at SUNY Canton as the Ausable Valley Patriots season come to end at 14-5. The Northern Adirondack Bobcats have crowned the 2022 Section VII Class C champions at Clinton Community College. It would be the first championship of championship weekend as the #1 Northern Adirondack Bobcats would do battle with the #2 Ausable Valley Patriots for the Section VII Class C Championship. Seton Catholic's Gabriella Conti (20) with the contested layup as the Plattsburgh is on her hip. It would be a matchup between the Champlain and Mountain Valley as the Plattsburgh Hornets would meet up with the Seton Catholic Knights at the PHS Gym. It would be a lower scoring start and the little school that could have the slim 6-2 lead for the Knights after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the offense for the Hornets would come alive and shut down the Knights with 14-6 quarters to give the Hornets a 16-12 lead at the intermission. When they came back for the third quarter the flip would script as the Knights would have a 12-2 quarter and take a 24-18 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the teams would be evenly matched and the Hornets would win slightly 13-11 as the Knights would get the slim 37-29 victory. In the winning effort, Madyson Whalen would lead the way with eight points as they go to 2-4 on the season while the Hornets fall to 3-3 on the season. Gallery

The game would start off good for the visiting Bobcats as they just out to a 6 point lead after the first quarter with a 15-9 lead. In the second quarter, the home Hornets would do their best to keep the game close but the Bobcats win the quarter 13-9 and take a 28-18 lead into the locker room. The home Hornets would look too hot and cut into the Bobcats lead but their defense would be up to the challenge and have a 14-5 quarter and take a 42-23 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats would stay on the gas and pull away with a 17-7 quarter and win the game 59-30. Peru's Kylar Agony pulling over Beekmentown's Anthony Cartee from behind to the back going for the pin in the 113lb division. The five section VII schools would meet at Saranac for the 2013 Section VII Wrestling Championship. There would be many good matches throughout the day with many of them going the distances and some needing the extra period. As a team Peru would defend there sectional title with a score of 244, 2nd Beekmentown 203, 3rd Saranac 169, 4th Northern Adirondack 155 and 5th Ausable Valley 79. We would like congratulate all the individual winners and wish them the best of luck at the State Championships in Albany at the Times Union Center on February 22nd and 23rd. Gallery

Ticonderoga's Ethan Thompson (14) takes up strong on the putback for the score. The #1 Ticonderoga Sentinels would take on the #2 N.A.C. Bobcats in the Championships of Section VII Class C. The Sentinels would race out to an early lead at 16-7 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, they would increase the lead with a 16-10 quarter for a 32-17 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter they would extend the lead with a 9-6 quarter for 41-23 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Bobcats would do there best to get back in it winning the quarter 15-11. Although it wouldn't be enough as the Sentinels would get the 52-41 victory and advance to the New York State Tournament. Gallery
