The game would be close to starting out as the Moriah Vikings would have the slim 16-13 lead over the Railroaders after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the game would still be tight although the Vikings would extend there lead with a 14-12 quarter and take a 30-25 lead at intermission. When the teams came back from the break they would be even through the third quarter at 18 and the Vikings would take the 48-43 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter is when the Vikings would pull away and put the game out of reach would a 26-18 quarter and secure the 74-61 victory. In the winning effort, Dylan Trombley would lead the way with 32 points as the Vikings head back to the state final four. Gallery

The Moriah Vikings celebrate as they are heading back to the state final four to defend their state title. The #1 Moriah Vikings would square off with the #10 Whitehall Railroaders in the New York State Class D Quarterfinals. The Golden Bears would jump out to a quick 15-8 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Golden Bears would expand on the lead with 16-4 quarters and have a 31-12 lead at intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Indians would regroup but the Golden Bears would still be too much and win the quarter 14-10 and take a 45-22 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Golden Bears would let off the throttle and cruise as the Indians win the quarter 11-7 although the Golden Bears would win the game 54-33.
