Plattsburgh's Dakoda Mason (9) taps the puck in on the doorstep gives the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. The #6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC play at the Ronald Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Dillan Fox at 5:50 of the first period. The game would remain there until the 11:24 mark of the second period when Dakoda Mason would tap it in on the doorstep to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Then just over three minutes later the Cardinals would go up 3-0 on Alex Jensen's goal. Then just 2:53 into the third period the Cardinals would go up 4-0 on Alex Brenton's goal. The Blue Devils would be able to avoid the shutout though when Zach White would score at 8:17 to make it 4-1 victory for the Cardinals. In the winning effort, Mathieu Cadieux would stop 20 of 21 as the Cardinals go to 17-3-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Alex Jensen (15) collides with Castleton State's goalie on the clear attempts and scores in the open net. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Castleton State Spartans in a nonconference game as they would welcome back former assistant Steve Moffit. The game would remain scoreless until the last two minutes of the first when Castleton's Charles Bando would give the Spartans the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would answer back at 3:42 of the second period and tie the game at one on Michael Radisa's goal. The Cardinals would then take the 2-1 lead at 7:35 of the second the short-handed goal. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Graham Yeo's first college goal at 11:35. Then two minutes later Alex Jensen would get his second goal of the night for the 4-1 lead. Then at 6:26 of the third Michael Cassidy would get into the scoring act as the Cardinals take the 5-1 lead. Then in the final 30 seconds of game Alex Jensen would finish off the hat trick as the Cardinals cruised to the 6-1 win. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hobart Statesmen in the finals of the Buck's Supply Winter Classic. The Statesmen would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:58 mark of the first on Mitch Beyer's goal for the 1-0 Statesmen lead. Then just 19 seconds later the Statesmen would extend the lead to 2-0 on Bo Webster's goal. The score would stay there all the way to the third period when the Statesmen would get an empty netter from Mac Olson at 17:34 of the third period. Inside the last minute of the game, Rich Botting would score for the Cardinals to avoid the shutout as the Cardinals fall 3-1. It would take just half of the first period for the Cardinals' to get on the broad when Alex Brenton would get the goal at 10:52 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Hamilton's Michael Dimare would tie the game up 27 seconds left in the first period at 1-1. Hamilton would take the 2-1 lead on the power-play goal by Pat Curtis at 1:52 of the second period. The Cardinals would tie the game up at 2 at 7:24 on Kyle Hall's breakaway goal. Then at 10:43 of the second the Cardinals would take the 3-2 lead thanks to Alex Brenton's second goal of the night. Clarkson's Greg Lewis (33) makes the glove save on the breakaway attempt. The #10 Clarkson Golden Knights would host crosstown rival the St. Lawrence Saints in ECACHL action in front of the third biggest Cheel Arena crowd at 3,965. The Saints would get the first goal of the game on the power-play from Jeremy Wick at 6:30 of the first. The Golden Knights would answer and tie the game up at 9:28 of the first on a TJ Moor power-play goal. The Golden Knights would take the lead at 2-1 on Simon Bessette's goal at 14:25 of the first. Then in the last minute of the first Jeremy Wick would get his second power-play goal of the night to tie the game at 2. That is where the game would stay till the last minute of the second period when the Saints would take the 3-2 lead on Matt Carey's goal. Then at 6:09 of the third period Clarkson's Jarrett Burton would tie the game at three. Then on the power-play Jeff DiNallo would give the Golden Knights the 4-3 lead at 10:57. Then just over 30 seconds later the Golden Knights would extend there lead to 5-3 on Troy Joseph's goal. The Saints wouldn't go quite though as Matt Carey would get his second of the night to make it 5-4 with two minutes left in the game. The Golden Knights would hold on from there for the 5-4 win. The game would start well for the Cardinals as Connor Gorman would light the lamp 3:29 into the game to give the Cardinals the early 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 just over two minutes later on Dakota Mason's goal. Then with just under two minutes left in the period would add another one on Michael Radisa's goal to give the Cardinals the convincing 3-0 lead after the first period. That is where the game would stay until 11:12 of the third period when the Panthers would get their lone goal from Louis Belisle to make it 3-1. From there on the Cardinals would hold check to get the 3-1 victory and there 4th Primelink Great Northern Shootout Championship. In the winning effort Matthieu Cardieux would make 20 saves and be named the MVP of the tournament. With the win the Cardinals stay undefeated at 8-0-1 on the season. Gallery

The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would play #15 Middlebury in the Championship of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout.
