Sportsman Modified Lonnie Rivers (7R), Codie Aubin (7) and Joey Scarbrough (38) battle closely for the position in turn 1 at the beginning of the race. It would be week 5 of the Airborne Park Speedway season the Revstar Invasion presented by Peru Federal Credit Union. There would be the Airborne 358 Modified, Sportsman Modified, Renegades along the Revstar Speedsters. The feature events would star with the Revstar Speedsters winner would be the 74s in the 8 car field. The next feature to hit the track would be 358 Modified for 30 laps it would be a great battle upfront that would see Gage Morin take the lead with 10 to go from Rabdideau to get his first win of the season. In the sportsman modified division it would be Moises Page gathering his third win of the season. In the Renegade division, Brent Jarvis would stay perfect on the season gathering his fifth win of the season while crowd favorite Curtis McGiven would get third his first podium finish in many years. NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Plymouth State Panthers March 23rd 2017

Plattsburgh State's Peter Ciacelli (51) with the hard-hit along the sidelines that jars the ball loose for the scramble. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Plymouth State Panthers in non conference action. The Cardinals would cruise out to a 6-1 lead after the first period on goals from Austin Belz (2), Ryan Hubbard, Ryan Callahan (2), and Jake Carroll. In the second quarter, the Panthers would put up more of a fight although the Cardinals would win the quarter 4-3 on goals from Mike Gay, Jake Carroll, Joe Mineau, and Ryan Callahan to have a 10-4 lead at the break. When the teams came out for the second half the Cardinals would show no let-up as they win the quarter 4-0 on goals from Ryan Callahan (2), Ryan Hubbard, and Kevin Litchauer for the 14-4 lead. In the fourth quarter the Cardinals would stay in control winning quarter 4-2 on goals from Billy Moller, Christopher Weider, Austin Belz, and Matt Gonzales to secure the 18-6 win. In the winning effort, Austin Graham would make 6 saves although leading the way for the Cardinals would be Ryan Callahan with 5 goals and 3 assist for an 8 point day as the Cardinals go to 5-2 on the season. NCAA Division 1 Men's Hockey ECAC Hockey Championships Finals: #1 Harvard Crimson Vs #3 Cornell Big Red March 18th 2017

The #1 Harvard Crimson would meet up with the #3 Cornell Big Red in the championship of ECAC Hockey. The Harvard Crimson would get the first goal of the game on Ryan Donato's power-play goal at 14:46 of the first period for a 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till 16:08 of the second period when Harvard's Luke Esposito would score to make it 2-0. The Crimson would expand there lead to 3-0 on Michael Floodstrand's goal that bounced in off the backboards. Then at 11:10 of the period, Harvard's Ryan Donato would get his second of the night and make it 4-0. In the closing minutes of the game, Cornell's Jeff Malott would score to break up the shutout and make it 4-1 game. In the winning effort, Merrick Madsen would make 25 saves as the Harvard Crimson are crowned the 2017 ECAC champions. Gallery

ECAC Hockey Championships Semi-Finals: #2 Union Dutchmen Vs #3 Cornell Big Red March 17th 2017

Cornell's Patrick McCarron(27) puts the move on Union's Jeff Taylor (2) and puts the shot on net. The #2 Union Dutchmen would meet up with the #3 Cornell Big Red in the second semi-final of the ECAC Hockey Championships. The game would remain scoreless until the 3:03 mark when Cornell's Noah Bauld would give the Big Red the 1-0 lead. Then just over four minutes later the Big Red would extend the lead to 2-0 on Jake Weidner's goal. The game would stay there til the 7:23 mark of the thirds period when Union's Cole Maier would score to make it 2-1 down the stretch. Then at 16:48 of the third, the Big Red would regain the 2-0 lead on Eric Freschi's goal. Then just over a minute later the Big Red would put the game away on Beau Starrett's goal. In the winning effort, Mitch Gillam would make 33 saves as the Cornell Big Red advance to the finals on Saturday evening against Harvard. Gallery

ECAC Tournament Semi-Finals: #1 Harvard Crimson Vs #5 Quinipiac Bobcats March 17th 2017

Harvard's Jacob Olsen (26) with the open ice hit on Quinnipiac's Tim Clifton(11) and knocks him to the ice. The #1 Harvard Crimson would meet up with the #5 Quinnipiac Bobcats in the ECAC Tournament Semi-Finals at the Herb Brook Arena in Lake Placid, NY. The game would remain scoreless until the 11-minute mark of the second period when Harvard's Sean Malone would make it 1-0. The Bobcats would keep fighting and tie the game back up at 1 on Thomas Adsworth's goal at 16:16 of the second period on the power play. The Crimson would regain the lead on Sean Malone's second goal at 18:56 of the second period to make it 2-1 Crimson. The Crimson would come out in the third period and keep the pressure on and extend the lead on Sean Malone's third goal at 4:04 of the third period to make it 3-1 crimson. As the game was nearing the end the Crimson would add an empty netter from Luke Esposito to secure the 4-1 victory. In the winning effort, Merrick Madsen would make 25 saves the Harvard Crimson advance to Saturday nights championship game. Gallery

NYS Class B Quarterfinals #8 Beekmantown Eagles Vs #4 Glens Falls Indians March 11th 2017

Beekmantown's Alyssa Waters (2) with the underhanded layup for the score. The #8 Beekmantown Eagles would meet up with the Glens Falls Indians in the Quarterfinals of the New York State Tournament. The Eagles jump out to a big lead at 22-5 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Indians would start to come back winning the quarter 13-10 although the Eagles would have the 32-18 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Eagles wouldn't let up and win the quarter 15-11 and have a 47-29 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Indians would do there best to try and comeback winning the quarter 27-19 although it wouldn't be enough as the Beekmantown Eagles hold on for 66-56 victory. In the winning effort, the Eagles go to 22-1 on the season and advance to final four and will face #1 Binghamton Seton Catholic. Gallery

NYS Class B Quarterfinals: Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs #20 Canton Golden Bears March 11th 2017

Northeastern Clinton's Nicholas Duffy (15) with the off-balance lay up for the score. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the #20 Canton Golden Bears in NYS Class B Quarterfinals. The Cougars would jump off to a quick start and have a 19-8 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would play even ball as the Bears win the quarter 16-15 although the Cougars would have a 34-24 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be a totally different game as the Bears win the quarter 14-4 and tie the game at 38 going into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bears win the quarter 21-11 and win the game 59-49. As the Northeastern Clinton Cougars lose the game there season would come to an end at 10-8. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jordan Lipson (2) tips in the goal on the one-timer in the open net. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #7 St. Thomas Tommies in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead at 7:35 of the first on Melissa Seehan goal. The Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Mellisa Sheeran's second goal at 14:39 of the first period. When the teams back for the second period the Toms would tie the game at two on two goals in the first five minutes. The Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 on Mackenize Millen's goal at 8:31 of the second period. The game would stay there until the 13:56 mark of the third period when Jordan Lipson would score to make it 4-2. From there on the Cardinals would hold on for the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort, Camille Leonard would make 29 saves as the Cardinals advance to the NCAA Frozen Four to face the Norwich Cadets. Gallery

NYS Class C 1st Round #10 Northern Adirondack Bobcats Vs #9 Madrid Waddington Yellow Jackets March 8th 2017

Northern Adirondack's Danya Burl (5) with the contested short range jumper for the basket. The Northern Adirondack Bobcats would meet up with the Madrid Waddington Yellow Jackets in the first round of the New York State Class C basketball championships. The Bobcats would jump out to the quick 16-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Bobcats would extend there lead by winning the quarter 11-6 and have a 27-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be more of the same as the Bobcats win the quarter 13-6 and have a 40-21 lead. In the fourth quarter the Bobcats would step back a bit and the Jackets would win the quarter 15-6. Although the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would hold on for the 46-36 victory and advance to the quarterfinals. Gallery
