It would be a rematch of last years ECAC Championship as the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights host the #3 Cornell Big Red in a early season tilt in front of 2900 fans. The teams would be evenly matched throughout the game as the first goal would come at the 11:15 mark when Travis Mitchell would give the Big Red the 1-0 lead. Just two minutes later the Big Red would strike again to double the lead at 2-0 on the Jeff Mallott goal. Then at the fifteen minute mark of the second period the Knights would get on the board and cut the deficit in half on the Connor McCrarthy powerplay goal. Then with just under two minutes Clarkson's Devin Brosseau would get the game tying goal. The Big Red would retake the lead at 3-2 halfway through the third period on the Cam Donaldson goal. Then in the final couple minutes the Big Red would get the empty netter to secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort the Cornell Big Red go to 5-0 while Golden Knights go to 7-3-1 on the season. The 2019 ECAC Hockey Championships Finals would come down to #2 Cornell Big Red and the #3 Clarkson Golden Knights and also would be a pair of top ten teams in the country vying for the conference automatic bid into the NCAA Championship at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid in front of 5700 fans. The Big Red would get the important first goal of the game from Noah Bauld at the 7:29 mark of the first period. Although in a matter four minutes between period the twelve and sixteen minute mark of the first period Devin Brosseau would get two powerplay goals and give the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead after the first period. The game would remain there for the longest time as both teams were very evenly matched. Although with just under six minutes left in the game the Big Red tie the game up on the Tristan Mullin goal and would be enough to send the game to overtime. In that overtime period it was starting to look like we might be heading for a second overtime until Chris Klack would knock in the rebound and give the Clarkson Golden Knights 2019 ECAC Championship for the first time sense 2007. The #2 Cornell Big Red would meet up with the #8 Brown Bears in the semi-final of the ECAC Championships at the Herb Brooks Arena in front of 4800 fans. The Big Red would open the first period with three goals setting the tone early with three goals in the period including two goals on one major powerplay with goals coming from Matthew Nuttle, Noah Bauld and Tristian Mullin. In the second period the Big Red would extend there lead to 4-0 on a goal from Morgan Barron on the powerplay at the thirteen minute mark. In the third period the Big Red would score two more from Joe Leahy and Kyle Betts to secure the 6-0. In the winning effort Matthew Galajda would make 30 saves in a shutout effort as they would advance to the ECAC Championships finals and face the winner of Clarkson and Harvard. Gallery

The #1 Harvard Crimson would meet up with the #3 Cornell Big Red in the championship of ECAC Hockey. The Harvard Crimson would get the first goal of the game on Ryan Donato's power-play goal at 14:46 of the first period for a 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till 16:08 of the second period when Harvard's Luke Esposito would score to make it 2-0. The Crimson would expand there lead to 3-0 on Michael Floodstrand's goal that bounced in off the backboards. Then at 11:10 of the period, Harvard's Ryan Donato would get his second of the night and make it 4-0. In the closing minutes of the game, Cornell's Jeff Malott would score to break up the shutout and make it 4-1 game. The #1 Harvard Crimson would meet up with the #3 Cornell Big Red in the championship of ECAC Hockey.
