The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow north country foe the Canton Kangaroos in nonconference action from the fieldhouse complex as they are in the middle of an early season homestand. The game would be tight through the first quarter as both teams were feeling each other out and the game would be tied at three at the end of the first scoring for the Cardinals would be Cam Morin, and Donald Woods (twice). In the second quarter, the home Cardinals would start to pull away as they would have a 5-2 quarter on goals from John Eiseman (twice), Anthony Faber, Cam Morin (second of the afternoon), and Logan Jones as the Cardinals would have an 8-5 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cardinals would stay hot and start to take control of the game with another 5-2 quarter on goals from Tim Keenan (twice), Donald Woods (third of the game), John Eiseman (third and fourth of the game), as they take the 13-7 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would take control and put the icing on the cake with an 8-1 quarter on scoring from Logan Jones (second and third of the game), Kyle Ruland, Austin Mesler (second of the game), Cam Morin (third and fourth of the game), Jimbo Farrelly, Spencer Fucheck and Ely Bruhns as the Cardinals secure the 21-8 victory. In the winning effort for the Cardinals Donald Woods would lead the way with three goals and four assists on the day while Dan Clements would make 6 saves in the win. As for the Kangaroos Austin Mesler would lead the way with six goals on the day. The Cardinals will end their homestand on Friday as they will host Russell Sage. Gallery

It would be the season opener for the home Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they would long-time school rival in all sports the Norwich Cadets on a brisk day at the Cardinal Complex on campus. The game would start tight through the first quarter as the Cadets would have the 4-2 lead after the first quarter scoring for the Cardinals would be Donald Woods and Tim Keenan. In the second quarter the Cadets would start to take control of the game with the 6-2 quarter and have a 10-4 lead at the break and scoring for the Cardinals again would be Donald Woods and Tim Keenan. When the teams would return for the third quarter it would be a very even game as it would be a 3-3 quarter making a 13-7 quarter scoring for the Cardinals would be Donald Woods (third of the game), Josh Eiseman, and Tim Keenan (third of the game). In the fourth quarter the Cadets would take control of the game and put the icing on the cake with a 5-2 quarter scoring for the Cardinals would be Anthony Faber and John Eiseman (second of the night) as the Cadets would get the 18-9 win. With the win, the Norwich Cadets start their season 1-0 while the Plattsburgh State Cardinals will go to 0-1 as they head to their next game against Mount St. Mary's. Gallery

We would have a little Non-Conference men's lacrosse action as Plattsburgh State from the SUNYAC would host the unbeaten Clarkson Golden Knights from the Liberty League from the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse Soccer Complex. The first quarter would start off well for the Cardinals as they would stay in contact with the Golden Knights and only trail 3-2 after the quarter scoring for the Cardinals would be Michael Swift and John Eiseman. At the same time, it would be Andrew Kearney, Connor Matthews, and Thomas Fiebich for the Golden Knights. Although in the second quarter, the Golden Knights would pull away with a 5-1 quarter on goals from Tyler Hall, Christian Canino, Bryan Penney, Alex Seiler, and Matt Reilly while getting the lone goal for the Cardinals would be John Eiseman (second of the game) to give the Golden Knights 8-3 lead at the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter it would be no better for the Cardinals as they would get shutout 5-0 with Golden Knights goals from Matt Reilly (second of the game), Connor Matthews (second and third of the game), Logan Wilkinson and Alex Seiler (second of the game) as the Golden Knights would have the 13-3 lead as they enter the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter with the outcome already determined the Cardinals would get the two lone goals of the quarter both coming from Owen Lorenzetti as the Golden Knights would get the 13-5 win. In the winning effort, the Golden Knights would stay undefeated at 7-0 as the Golden Knights netminders would combine for ten saves on the day. The Cardinals would lose and fall to 2-5 on the season and Dan Clements would make 14 saves. In the second quarter, the Cardinal's luck would not be much better as the Eagles would win the quarter 5-1 and take an 8-1 lead into the locker room on goals from Owen VanWie (second) Nelson Logan, Rocco Santillo (second and third), and Carson Colucci while getting the lone goal for the Cardinals would be Owen Lorenzetti. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would have a 5-2 lead after the first quarter on the strength of goals from Stephen Kane, Kyle Rutland, Andrew Braverman, Zach Gill, and Donald Woods. In the second quarter, the Cardinals offense would come alive with a 7-0 quarter and take a 12-2 lead into the lockerroom on goals from Max Burgio, Donald Woods (second & third), Zach Gill (second & third), and John Eiseman (one & two). When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cardinal's offense would stay hot with a 5-2 quarter and take a 17-4 lead into the final quarter on goals from John Eiserman (third), Cam Morin, Donald Woods (fourth), Matt Trypaluk and Logan Vilardi. In the fourth quarter, the cardinals would let off the gas and have a 4-1 quarter on goals from Logan Jones, Zach Derhak (one & two), and Ryan Weaver as the Cardinals would secure the 21-5 lead.
