Peru's Jon Martin (4) takes flight down the lane and lays it off the window for the score. It would be the third game of the Section 7/10 Challenge as the Malone Huskies would face off with the Peru Indians. The Huskies would job out to the 21-14 lead at the break. When the teams returned for the second half the Indians would claw the whole way and win the half 36-29 and force overtime tied at 50. In that overtime period, Malone would win it 9-4 and secure the 59-54 victory. With the loss the Peru Indians fall to 4-8 while Malone goes to 6-7 on the season. Gallery

NYS Class B Quarterfinals: Northeastern Clinton Cougars Vs #20 Canton Golden Bears March 11th 2017

Northeastern Clinton's Nicholas Duffy (15) with the off-balance lay up for the score. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the #20 Canton Golden Bears in NYS Class B Quarterfinals. The Cougars would jump off to a quick start and have a 19-8 lead after the 1st quarter. In the second quarter, the teams would play even ball as the Bears win the quarter 16-15 although the Cougars would have a 34-24 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half it would be a totally different game as the Bears win the quarter 14-4 and tie the game at 38 going into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Bears win the quarter 21-11 and win the game 59-49. As the Northeastern Clinton Cougars lose the game there season would come to an end at 10-8. Gallery

The Larries would hold the early slim lead 12-11 after the first quarter. In the second quarter In the second quarter, the Sentinels would take control with a 15-9 quarter and have a 26-21 lead at the half. When the teams came back for the third quarter the Sentinels would have another 15-9 quarter for the 41-30 lead. In the fourth, the Sentinels would keep the paddle down as they would win the quarter 17-10 and secure the 58-40 victory. The #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars would meet up with the #6 Beekmantown Eagles in the Section VII Class B Semi-Finals. The Eagles would have upset on there mind early in the game as they would have an 11-5 lead after the first. In the second quarter, the Cougars would start to claw there way back wining the quarter 10-7 although the Eagles would have an 18-15 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third the scoring would pick up and the Eagles would win the third quarter 16-13 and have a 34-28 lead head to the fourth. Although in the fourth the Cougars would have shutdown defense winning the quarter 12-4. With the Cougars would get the comeback victory at 40-38 and advance to the Class B Finals against the Plattsburgh Hornets. Gallery
