New York State Class D First Round: Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs Galway Eagles November 5 2014

The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the Galway Eagles in the first round of the New York State Class D championships at Saratoga High School. The Bulldogs would come in and put their best foot forward and show why they were the section 10 champions. The Bulldogs would get the straight-sets victory to advance to the Quarterfinals. The scores of the three games would be 25-18, 25-13, and 25-20. With the win, the Chateaugay Bulldogs go to 20-1 on the season and will play Lake Placid for the right to go to the final four. Gallery

Section X Overall Championship #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #2 Massena Red Raiders November 3 2014
Chateaugay's Caitlin Miller (21) gets above the net for the hard spike right at the net for the point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the Massena Red Raiders in the Section X Championship. These would be the top two teams throughout the season and they would show it again tonight. This time the Massena Red Raiders would be the ones that would come out on top winning the title in four games. The scores of the four games would be 25-19, 16-25 25-20, and 25-18. With the lose the Bulldogs are given there first loss of the season and are 19-1 on the season. The next game for the Bulldogs will be Galaway on November 5th at Saratoga High School. Gallery

Section X Overall Semi-Finals #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #4 Malone Huskies November 3 2014
Chateaugay's Kim Reville (5) with the spike up close to the net over the defender for the point. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the Malone Huskies in the Section X Semi-Finals. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would defeat the Malone Huskies 2-0 in the best of three. The scores of the two games would be 25-9, and 25-10. With the win, the Bulldogs go to 19-0 on the season and would meet up with the Massena Red Raiders in the Championship. Gallery

Plattsburgh Flag Football T Malianakas Masonry Vs Northeast Monsters November 2 2014
Malianakas's Pete Wheatley with the judging catch for the interception. It would be week 7 of the North Country Flag Football League with T Malianakas Masonry would meet up with the Northeast Monsters. The Malianiakas Masonry would control the first half and take a 14-0 lead into the break. In the second half it would be more of the same Malianakas would win the half 21-0 and get the 35-0 victory. In the winning effort Malianakias Masonry would go to 7-1 while the Northeast Monsters would go to 0-8 on the season. Gallery

Section 7 Class B Championship: #1 Peru Indians Vs #2 Beekmantown Eagles November 1 2014
Beekmantown's Justin Stevens (22) runs over the defender for the first down on his way to setting the Section 7 Football single-season rushing total at 1,850 yards. The #1 Peru Indians would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles in New York State Section 7 Championship at Ausable Valley. The Eagles would strike first on a Justin Stevens touchdown run in the first quarter to make it 7-0. In the second quarter, Eagles Matt Villa would return the interception for the score to make it 14-0. Later in the quarter, the Indians would get on the board to make it 14-7 as they head to the half. In the third quarter, the teams would trade scores with Justin Stevens run to make it 21-7 Eagles headed to the fourth quarter the Indians would score twice in the quarter including Buddy Altizer game-winner with 12 seconds to give the Indians the 28-21 victory. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians would go to 9-0 and advance to the New York State Class B Playoffs against Malone. Even though the Eagles would lose Justin Stevens would set the single-season Section 7 rushing total at 1,850 yards. Gallery

Section 7 Class C Championship #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm Vs #3 Ausable Valley Patriots November 1 2014
Ausable Valley's Sultan Sikandar (8) with the fall backwards catch in the endzone for the score. The #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet up with the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in the Section 7 Football championships. The Red Storm would make easy work of the Patriots in the first half and take a 35-7 lead into the locker room. In the second half the Patriots would try there best to make a game of it but the defecit would be to big to overcome they would win the half at 16-7 but would fall 42-23. With the win the Red Storm head into the New York State Class C Playoffs against Ogdensburg while the Patriots season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

Section X Class D Quarterfinals #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #9 Edwards-Knox Cougars October 29 2014
Chateaugay's Rachel Young (3) and the Edwards-Knox defender battle for the loose ball with the step-through. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs and #9 Edwards-Knox Cougars meet up in the Section X Class D Quarterfinals at Massena High. The Bulldogs would take the quick 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute on Brianna Cook's goal. Then in the 4th minute, they would extend the lead 2-0 on Danielle Charland's goal to make it 2-0. The game would stay there until the 45th minute when Rachel Young would make it 3-0 Bulldogs. Then in the 46th minute, Alissa Cook would extend the lead 4-0 for the Bulldogs. Then in the 47th minute, the Bulldogs would make it 5-0 on Brianna Cook's second goal. Then in the 55th minute the Bulldogs Alissa Cook would score her second goal to make it 6-0. Then in the 77th minute, the Cougars would get on the board. Although the Bulldogs would get the 6-1 victory. In the winning effort, the Bulldogs would move onto the Section X Class D Semi-Finals against the #5 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets.

Chateaugay's Caitlin Miller with the tip shot over the fingertips of the Madrid-Waddington's defender for the point. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the #2 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in the Section X Class D Championship. The Bulldogs would make quick work in getting the straight-set victory in about 45 minutes. The scores of the three games would be 25-6 25-8 25-12. With the win, the Bulldogs win another Section X Class D Championship and go to 18-0 on the season. Next up will be the Section X Overall championship on November 3rd and they will get the Malone Huskies in the semi-finals. Gallery

Section X Class D Semi-Finals #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs Vs #4 Brushton-Moira Panthers October 27 2014
Chateaugay's Brooke Secore (14) with the two haned push shot to the far side of the court. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the #4 Brushton-Moira Panthers in the Section X Class D Semi-finals. The Bulldogs would make quick work of the Panthers winning the match in about 45 minutes in straight sets by scores of 25-7 25-4 and 25-12. With the win the Bulldogs go to 17-0 on the season and will play #2 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets for the Sectional championship. Gallery

Plattsburgh Flag Football T. Malianakias Masonry Vs West Side Saints October 26 2014
Maliankias' Clint McCool (2) and West Side's Josh Douglass go up for the ball along the sidelines. It would be week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League where the T. Maliankias Masonry would meet up with the West Side Saints. Masonry defense would be tops again this week and have a 14-0 lead at the half with the defense giving them short fields. In the second half, it would be more of the same and they would win the half 14-0 and secure the 28-0 win. In the winning effort, Maliankias Masonry would go to 6-1 on the season while the West Side Saints would fall to 1-6. Gallery
