SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Plattsburgh State Cardinals @ Canton Kangaroos February 21st 2026

It would be the last game of the regular season at the Terry Martin Arena on the campus of SUNY Canton, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Canton Kangaroos would battle for the fifth seed in the upcoming SUNYAC tournament in front of 300 fans. It would take tuntilthe 10:01 mark of the first period wforthe home Kangaroos wtoget the opening goal of the game from Logan Kelly,, and that would be the lone goal of the period The Cardinals would come back and tie the game at the 8:35 mark of the second period when Jake Sacratini scored on the power play,, and 'that's how the period would end. The game would go until the 11:06 mark of the third period, when Dylan Pollock would get his first career goal, and it would be the winner, as the Cardinals would not be able to get the equalizer down the stretch, and the Kangaroos would get the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, the Kangaroos Trey Miller would make 35 saves as they go to 12-12-1 on the season and will take on the Cortland State Red Dragons in the SUNYAC first round. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Skidmore Thoroughbreds @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 13th 2026

Skidmore's Tyler Fogu (16) with the hard hit on the Cardinals attacker that drops him by the bench. It would be the last regular-season home game for the Plattsburgh State Cardinals as they celebrate their 50th season, taking on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, in front of 1400 fans. The game would start well for the home Cardinals, as they would get a quick 1-0 lead just 1:08 into the game on Alexandro Moliner's goal. The lead would be short-lived, though, as the Thoroughbreeds would tie the game up at one just 14 seconds later on the Bryce Terry goal, and that's where the first period would end The Thoroughbreeds would take the 2-1 lead at the 12:47 mark of the Cooper Rice after the Cardinals' attempt to wrap the puck around the boards went terribly wrong when the puck bounced out front of an open net. He banged it home, and that's where the second period would end. The Cardinals would answer quickly in the third period and tie the game at two on the Spencer Bellina goal just 1:58 into the period. The tie would be short-lived, though, as Skidmore would take the lead back just 2:20 later on Dylan Shane's goal. The Cardinals would give it everything they had down the stretch, but just had bad luck with the equalizer, and Skidmore would get the 3-2 win. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreeds, Tommy Aitken would make 45 saves as they go to 12-9-2 on the season. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Fredonia State Blue Devils @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 7th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Brannon Butler (23) with the hard on Fredonia State's Hudson Cameron (10), knocking him off the puck. It would be the second game of the Cardinals' weekend homestand with Western New York as they would take on the Fredonia State Blue Devils in front of nearly 1300 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The Cardinals would get off to a quick start, scoring just 21 seconds into the game, thanks to Gabriel Filion. The game would stay there all the way til the 8:51 mark of the second period when the Blue Devils would tie the game at one on the Mathieu Fournier goal. The Cardinals would answer right back two minutes later and regain the lead at 2-1 on the Colin Callahan goal. Then,n at the 16:14 mark of the second period, they would extend their lead to 3-1 when Shane Bondy would light the lamp. The Blue Devils would answer back just 43 seconds into the third period when Luke Morris would score to make it a 3-2 game. The Blue Devils would keep fighting and get the equalizer with just 33 seconds left in the game when Owen Cross would score to force overtime. However, the Cardinals would get the last one with just ten seconds left in the extra frame, when Quinn Tavares would send the fans home happy with the 4-3 win In the winning effort as Beau Lane would make 28 saves as they go to 12-10 on the season as they head into there final home game of the season against the Skidmore Mustangs. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Buffalo State Bengals @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals February 6th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Felix Antoine Parenteau (73) gets the scoring started for the Cardinals on the powerplay for the 1-0 lead late in the first. It would be a SUNYAC Men's Hockey regular season tilt from the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena with 1500 fans in attendance as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals. The game would start well for the home Cardinals as Felix-Antoine Parenteau would get the opening goal of the game coming on the power play at the 14:38 mark of the first period. The Cardinals would waste little time in extending their lead to 2-0 as Patrick Cole would find the back of the net just 1:52 later, and that's how the first period would come to an end. There would be no scoring in the second period as both goalies would be up to the task. In the third period, the Cardinals would add a third goal in the closing minutes of the game with 4:12 left in the game when Riley Sutherland would score as they secured the 3-0 win. In the winning effort for the Cardinals, Beau Lane would make 32 saves for the shutout as they go to 11-10 on the season. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: #3 Oswego State Lakers @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 24th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Alexandro Moliner (9) gets the opening goal just 52 seconds into the game for the Cardinals' 1-0 lead. It would be the classic rivalry, renewing itself: Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Oswego State Lakers, with 14,500 fans at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. The home Cardinals would waste little time getting the opening goal of the game, just 54 seconds in, on a goal by Alexandro Moliner for the 1-0 lead, and the stress ball was released. Releasedust 90 seconds later, the Cardinals would make it 2-0 on the Spencer Bellina goal, and the upset-minded Cardinals were cooking. Then, at the 9:15 mark of the first, the Lakers would cut the deficit in half as Matt McQuade scored to make it 2-1. The game would stay there until 22 seconds into the second, when the Cardinals would regain the two-goal lead at 3-1 on Quinn Tavares' goal. Then at the 7:22 mark, the Cardinals would extend ttheirlead to 4-1 when Felix-Antoine Parenteau would score The game would stay there till the last 7 minutes of the second period when the Lakers would go on a four goal blitz from Tommy Bannister (shorthanded goal), Connor Gatto, Josh Simpson, and Matt McQuade (powerplay goal) and take the 5-4 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals shaded their chances to tie the game but couldn't get the game-tying goal, and the Lakers held on for the 5-4 win. In the win, the Lakers improved to 13-2-1, as Manzi and Milberg combined for 27 saves. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: #1 Hobart Statesmen @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 23rd 2026

Hobart's Tommy McDonough (55) with the open ice hit on Plattsburgh State's Colin Callahan (17) to knock him off the puck. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would welcome the #1 Hobart Statesmen to the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena in front of 1,250 fans for the first time as conference foe The game would not start well for the home Cardinals as the Statesmen would get three goals in the first period from Easton Ryan, Tanner Daniels, and Arvega Hovsepyan as they would trail 3-0 after one. In the second period, it wouldn't be much better, as the Statesmen would get a couple more goals from Tamas Roth and Easton Ryan (second of the night), making it a 5-0 game at the end of two. In the third period, the Statesmen would finish off the bashing of the Cardinals with another pair of goals from Dominic Schimizzi and Arvega Hovespyan (second of the game) as they would fall 7-0. In the winning effort for the Statesmen Damon Beaver would make 22 saves for the shutout as they stay undeefated at 17-0 as they head to there game against Skidmore, As for the Cardinals Spry and Lane would combine for 46 saves as they fall to 8-9 and will look to right the ship tomorrow night against time foe the #3 Oswego State Lakers. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Potsdam State Bears @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 17th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Gabriel Filion (22) scored the goal that stuffs in the net for the 2-0 lead. It would be the second game of the weekend, with a pair of North Country foes, as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Potsdam State Bears at the Ronald B. Stafford Arena in front of 1,445 fans. The Cardinals would strike quickly, just 2:02 into the game, on Jake Sacratini's goal for a 1-0 lead. The game would sgo untilthe 1:25 mark of the second period, when the Cardinals would strike again, this time on the ppower play, for the Gabriel Filion goal and make it 2-0 The Cardinals would strike for their second powerplay goal of the period, this time from Vladislav Pshenichikov at the 9:13 mar,k and make it 3-0 Cardinal The Bears would finally answer back at the 6:30 mark of the third period on the Owen Watson goal to make it 3-1. From there, the Cardinals' defense would stand tall,l and they would get the 3-1 victor. Brady Spry would make 37 saves as they go to 8-8 on the season. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Canton Kangaroos @ Plattsburgh State Cardinals January 16th 2026

Canton's Alexander Colton (17) scored the first-period goal to give the Kangaroos a 1-0 lead. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return home for the first time in a couple of weeks, and they would host North Country for the Canton Kangaroos in SUNYAC action in front of 1269 fans at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. The upset-minded Kangaroos would get the first goal of the game from Colton Alexander on the power play at the 15:03 mark of the period. The Kangaroos would waste little time in extending their lead to 2-0 on the Scott Cremen goal just two minutes later to make it 2-0. The game would stay there all the way to the 3:51 mark of the third period when Jake Sacratini would score for the Cardinals and make it a 2-1 game. From there, the Cardinals would give them everything they had for the rest of the period, going for the tying goal, but it wouldn't come, and the Kangaroos would get the empty-netter in the closing minute from Alexander Colton as they secured the 3-1 win. In the winning effort, Trey Miller made 43 saves as they went to 6-8 on the season. As the Cardinals would combine for 22 saves, they fall to 7-8-1 on the season. SUNYAC Men's Hockey: Plattsburgh State Cardinals @ Skidmore Thoroughbreds January 10th 2026

Plattsburgh State's Quinn Tavares (19) with the hard hit into the glass on Skidmore's Jacob Zwirecki (7) that knocks him off the puck. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would return to conference play after nearly two months away, traveling to Saratoga to take on the newest member of the SUNYAC, the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, at the Saratoga Springs Ice Arena in front of 500 fans. The Thoroughbreds would take the 1-0 lead at the 12:22 mark of the first on the Matthew Franzoi goal. The game would stay there until the 5:44 mark of the second period, when Matthew Franzoi would get his second of the night and make it 2-0. The Cardinals would answer back 2:08 later with the shorthanded goal by Vlad Pshenichnikov and make it a 2-1 game. The Cardinals would score again 31 seconds later and tie the game at two on Riley Sutherland's goal. The game would remain tied till the 15:58 mark of the third period when the Thoroughbreds' Coleman Jenkins would score to make it 3-2. Then, in the closing seconds of the game, Tyler Fogu would add the empty netter for the Thoroughbreds and secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort for the Thoroughbreds, Tommy Aitken would make 21 saves as they went to 6-6-2 on the season. As for the Cardinals, Brady Spry would make 33 saves as they fall to 7-7-1 on the season, as they both will play Potsdam and Canton next weekend. Gallery

NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Comfort Inn Winter Classic: Suffolk Rams Vs Wesleyan Rams January 3rd 2026

Wesleyan's Patrick McDevitt (1) with the blocker save as part of a 30-save afternoon in the winning effort. It would be the consolation game of the 2026 Comfort Inn Cardinal Classic, featuring the Suffolk Rams and the Wesleyan Cardinals at the Ronald Stafford Ice Arena, in front of 200 fans. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 10:22 mark of the first period from Danny Markham for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there till the 2:21 mark of the second period when Suffok's Nolan Leonard would score to tie the game at 1. The Rams would keep coming and take the 2-1 lead on the Aidan O'Connell powerlay goal at the 8:07 mark. However, the Cardinals would answer right back 80 seconds later and end the game at two on the Andrew Haxton goal. The game would stay there through the rest of the regulations, and they would head to overtime. Over time, the Cardinals got the game-winner three minutes in thanks to D'Tlan Mar.... In the Cardinals' winning effort, Patrick McDevitt made, and they improved to 3-6 on the season.
