It would be an Upstate New York Girls Hockey League game between the Plattsburgh Hornets and the Massena Red Raiders. The game would start well for the visiting Red Raiders as they would get the opening goal from Megs Wilmshurst 46 seconds into the game. Although the Hornets would keep the fight up and tie the game at 1 on Ada Johnson's goal at the 6:17 mark of the first period. The game would stay there until the 5:53 mark of the second period when the Red Raiders would regain the lead on the Hannah Chilton goal. Although it would be short-lived as the Hornets would tie it up at 2 90 seconds later on the Avery Holland goal. Although once again the Red Raiders would get the lead back on a goal at the 6:29 mark of the third period to make it 3-2. Once again the Hornets would tie the game up at three with 90 seconds left in regulation on the Gillan Boule goal to force. In the overtime, it would come quickly as Massena Red Raiders Hannah Chilton lights the lamp 31 seconds in for the 4-3 victory. Beekmantown's Bailey Carter (10) stuffs it in the back of the net past Massena's Mackenzie Garrow. The Beekmantown girls' hockey team earned a home victory Friday with a 4-3 victory over Massena at the Scotts' Memorial Rink in Chazy. In a back-and-forth game that saw the teams combine for 84 shots on goal and 12 penalties, the Eagles never trailed. While the Red Raiders controlled much of the five-on-five play in the first period, penalties allowed Beekmantown to get their share of offensive pressure. Massena killed off an early five-on-three opportunity for the Eagles but surrendered a powerplay goal later in the period as Celine Juneau found Bailey Carter at the back door for the only goal of the period. Two minutes into the second period, Carter got her second tally of the night after skating in to support Leah Coulombe's drive to the net. Hannah Chilton pulled the Red Raiders back within a goal midway into the frame as the Eagles failed to clear the zone after blocking a shot in the high slot. Chilton's goal started a brief flurry of goals, as Beekmantown's Amanda Cayea tallied 40 seconds later to again pull ahead by two goals. A minute after that, Massena's Meg Wilmshurst brought the puck into the zone and put directed a shot low to the blocker side on Beekmantown's goaltender Brianne Knight. Knight tried to kick it wide while still retreating to her goal line, but could not push it far enough to keep the Red Raiders from once again pulling within a goal. The Eagles found themselves briefly facing a five-on-three penalty kill later in the second period, but key saves by Knight kept Massena from equalizing. Carter completed her hat trick midway through the final period before Brooke Terry again brought the Red Raiders within one. Carter took a penalty later in the period, but the Beekmantown penalty kill kept Massena pinned in their own zone for the duration, and the Eagles held on for the 4-3 win. It would be game at would pit two evenly matched teams. As there would be no goals through the first period. The first goal of the game would eventually come at the 5:18 mark of the second period when Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Dariana Patterson would score to make it 1-0. That would almost be the lone goal of the game until Plattsburgh's McKenzie Brown would score with just over three minutes left in the game to tie it at one. The teams would end up in the overtime and in that overtime, Saranac Lake/Lake Placid's Rylee Preston would get the winner on the scramble in front halfway through the game to give the 2-1 win. In the winning effort, Saranac Lake/Lake Placid would go to 1-0-1 while the Plattsburgh Hornets fall to 5-1 on the season. Gallery.

The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host north country rival the Potsdam State Bears in Northeast Women's Hockey League action in front of 350 fans. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the seven-minute mark on from Taylor Whitney for the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would strike again in the thirteenth minute on the Abby Brush goal for the 2-0 lead. In the final couple minutes of the period, Katlin Drew Nead would score to take a 3-0 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the second period the Cardinals would keep the pedal and score three more times from Sarah Wolfe, Ivy Boric and Abby Brush for the 6-0 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals would slow down and only get one from Sara Krauseneck to secure the 7-0 victory. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Malone Huskies in an early-season Upstate New York Hockey League game. The game would start off good as the Hornets would get the quick 1-0 lead seven seconds into the game on the Avery Holland goal. Although the Huskies would answer right back at the 35-second mark on the Whitney St. Hillaire goal to make it 1-1. The game would stay there till midway through the second period when Reylyn Giroux would score for the Hornets to make it 2-1. Then at the 4:30 mark of the third period, the Hornets would double there lead on the Gillian Boule goal to make it 3-1. Although the Huskies would answer right back seventeen seconds later on the Alyx St. Hillaire goal to make it 3-2. Then at the nine-minute mark the Hornets would regain the two-goal lead at 4-2 on the Mckenzie Brown goal. Then in the final minute, the Hornets would add an empty netter from Reylyn Giroux her second of the game to secure the 5-2 win. The Cardinals would not be the best of host as they score 38 seconds into the game on the Ivy Boric goal to make it 1-0 Cardinals. The Cardinals would answer again at the 4:36 mark of the period on the Madison Walker goal to make it 2-0 Cardinals. Before the period would end the Cardinals would strike two more times to make it 4-0 on goals from Holly Schmelzer and Annie Kantonka. The Cardinals would lighten up the rest of the game and get just one more at the 9:51 mark of the second period from Annie Katonka for her second of the game to make it 5-0 Cardinals. The Kangaroos would avoid the shutout with a goal by Alyssa Suzuki at the 1:54 mark of third period. The Cardinals would secure the 5-1 win and go to 7-0 on the season. The game would start of tight as the Cardinals would have the lone goal of the first period by Kaitlin Drew-Mead for the 1-0 lead. Although in the second period the Cardinals would explode for 6 goals in the period. As for goals in the period they would come from 5 different scores as Kaitlin Drew Mead would be the only one with multiple goals in the period and actual get the hat track. As for the other goal scorers it would be Sara Krauseneck, Wrin Mcardle, Maggie Blair, and Annie Katonka. The Lakers would get one in the third period to avoid the shutout.
