Before the period would end the Cardinals would strike two more times to make it 4-0 on goals from Holly Schmelzer and Annie Kantonka. The Cardinals would lighten up the rest of the game and get just one more at the 9:51 mark of the second period from Annie Katonka for her second of the game to make it 5-0 Cardinals. The Kangaroos would avoid the shutout with a goal by Alyssa Suzuki at the 1:54 mark of third period. The Cardinals would secure the 5-1 win and go to 7-0 on the season.
