Plattsburgh's Abbie Phillips (2) and the Malone Huskies defender get tangled up as they chased down the loose puck. The Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Malone Huskies in an early-season Upstate New York Hockey League game. The game would start off good as the Hornets would get the quick 1-0 lead seven seconds into the game on the Avery Holland goal. Although the Huskies would answer right back at the 35-second mark on the Whitney St. Hillaire goal to make it 1-1. The game would stay there till midway through the second period when Reylyn Giroux would score for the Hornets to make it 2-1. Then at the 4:30 mark of the third period, the Hornets would double there lead on the Gillian Boule goal to make it 3-1. Although the Huskies would answer right back seventeen seconds later on the Alyx St. Hillaire goal to make it 3-2. Then at the nine-minute mark the Hornets would regain the two-goal lead at 4-2 on the Mckenzie Brown goal. Then in the final minute, the Hornets would add an empty netter from Reylyn Giroux her second of the game to secure the 5-2 win.
