Plattsburgh State's Abby Brush (27) knocks home the rebound on the doorstep as part of a two-goal night. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host north country rival the Potsdam State Bears in Northeast Women's Hockey League action in front of 350 fans. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the seven-minute mark on from Taylor Whitney for the 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would strike again in the thirteenth minute on the Abby Brush goal for the 2-0 lead. In the final couple minutes of the period, Katlin Drew Nead would score to take a 3-0 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the second period the Cardinals would keep the pedal and score three more times from Sarah Wolfe, Ivy Boric and Abby Brush for the 6-0 lead. In the third period, the Cardinals would slow down and only get one from Sara Krauseneck to secure the 7-0 victory.
