Plattsburgh State's Kyle Hall (10) cuts in front of the net and puts over the goalie's shoulder for the opening goal. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host arch-rival Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals take the lead early at 4:33 of the first period on Kyle Hall's goal to make it 1-0. Oswego would answer right back thirty seconds later to tie the game up at one. Then in the last five minutes of the first, the Cardinals would retake the lead at 2-1 on Conor Gorman's goal. Oswego would come back and tie the game up back up at 11:54 of the second. The game would remain there till the early minutes of the third when Oswego would take the 3-2 lead. The game would stay there till about two minutes left in the game when the Cardinals would tie it up on a 4x4 goal by Anthony Calabrese. The game would go to overtime where Connor Gorman would get the game-winner with 2 seconds left to secure the 4-3 victory. In the winning effort, Spencer Finney would make 27 saves on the night as the Cardinals go to 17-3-1 on the season. Gallery.

The Cardinals would leave no stretch to the imagination that they were in control of the game scoring five times in the first period for a 5-0 lead. The goal scores in the period would be Nick Belanger (2), Luke Baleshetea, Ross Sloan and Brandon O'Quinn. In the second period, they would pick up where they left off as Brandon O'Quinn would get second of the night on a power-play goal to make it 6-0. Then the Kangaroos would finally get on the period with two-goal in a two-minute span in the second period to make it 6-2 at the end of the second period. Then a 1:20 into the third period Pat Egan would strike to extend the Cardinals lead to 7-2. Then in the closing minutes of the game, the Cardinals would strike with Luke Baleshetea's second goal of the night to finish off the game and give the Cardinals the 8-2 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2016 W.B. Mason Winter Classic champions. The game would be tight throughout the start and be scoreless after the first period of play. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead a 1:16 into the second period when Ryan Chaisson would get his first collegiate goal. Then at 12:14 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on a power-play goal from Pat Egan. Then in the last minutes of the third period, Ryan Botting would put the icing on the cake with his own power-play goal to secure the 3-0 victory and give the Cardinals the championship. In the winning effort, Spencer Finney would 26 saves for the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 10-1-1 on the season. Gallery.

The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Pat Egan's goal at 9:54 of the first period. Then just over three minutes later Pat Egan would strike again to make it 2-0. Then to end the six-minute stretch in the first the Cardinals Cole Stallard would score to make it 3-0 Cardinals after the first period. In the second period, the Cardinals would continue there dominance scoring twice more from Cam Owens and Brandon O'Quinn to make it 5-0 after two periods. In the third period, the Cardinals would put the final touches on the game scoring twice more this time Luke Balesheta and Kyle Hall for the 7-0 victory. In the winning effort, Brady Rouleau would stop all 18 shots in the shutout victory as the Cardinals go to 9-1-1 on the season. With the win, the Cardinals play for the W.B. Plattsburgh State's Pat Egan (16) rifles the shot to the top shelf over goalies shoulder for one of his two goals on the night. It would be the semi-finals on the W.B. Mason Winter Classic and it would feature the #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Fitchburg State Falcons. The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Pat Egan's goal at 9:54 of the first period. Then just over three minutes later Pat Egan would strike again to make it 2-0. It would be a battle of North Country rivals with extra on the line as they both came in undefeated and ranked in the top 15. As #4 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host #12 Potsdam State Bears. The Cardinals get the quick 1-0 leas as Nick Belger would score on the power play at 4:04 of the first. The Cardinals would extend it to 2-0 on Cole Stallard's power-play goal at 6:05. The in the last minute of the period the Cardinals would strike twice in seven seconds with goals from Dillan Fox and Kevin Emmerling to take a 4-0 lead after one. When the teams came out for the second period the Cardinals would score again at the 4:17 mark to make it 5-0 on Cole Stallard's second goal of the night. Then just over a minute, later the Bears would finally get on the board to make it 5-1 and that's where the game would stay until the third period. In the third period, the Cardinals would get two more goals to put the icing on the cake from Cole Stallard's (hat trick goal) and Ayrton Valente to secure the 7-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Luke Baleshtea (23) fights to throw the check of the Brockport State defender and keeps control of the puck. It would be the #8 Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Brockport State Eagles on Throwback Jersey night in SUNYAC play. The Cardinals would answer with the first goal of the night at the 10:30 mark on Connor Gorman's goal. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Connor Gorman's second goal of the night at 13:56. Then at the 15:34 mark of James Ryan would score on the power play for the Eagles to make it 2-1. Then at the 17:11 mark of the period, the Cardinals would go back up by 2 as Connor Gorman would finish off the natural hat trick and make it 3-1. Then at the 18:44 mark of the period, Alex Brenton would score on the power play to make it 4-1 after the first period. In the second period, the Eagles would get the lone goal at 10:48 on the power play from James Ryan for the second of the night. Then at the 12:38 mark of the third period, James Ryan would finish off the hat trick on the power play to make it 4-3. From then on the Cardinal's defense would tighten up and hold on for the 4-3 victory.
