Then just 47 seconds later the Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Andrew Pizzio goal. Then just over a minute later the Cardinals would strike again on Antoine Desnoyers's goal to make it 3-0. Then with 19 seconds left the Cardinals would make it 4-0 on Ross Sloan's goal. Then four minutes into the third period Anthony Fournier-Gosselin would score to secure the 5-0 victory. The Panthers would eventually tie the game back up at 1 at 4:13 of the second period. Although the Cardinals would regain the 1 goal lead 20 seconds later on the Cam Owens goal. The Panthers would tie the game back up at 8:35 of the second period. The Cardinals would answer right back 41 seconds later to take a 3-2 lead on Jakob Engvall goal. Then at 5:32 of the third period Joe Drabin would score to extend the lead to 4-2. Then in the closing minutes of the game Matt Quilty would score on the empty netter to secure the 5-2 victory. In the second period, the Panthers would fight back and get two goals of there own to tie it at 2. In the third period, the Cardinals would ice the game away with three goals from Jesse Neher, Pat Egan, and Joe Drabin to secure the 5-2 victory. In the second period, they would pick up where they left off as Brandon O'Quinn would get second of the night on a power-play goal to make it 6-0. Then the Kangaroos would finally get on the period with two-goal in a two-minute span in the second period to make it 6-2 at the end of the second period. Then a 1:20 into the third period Pat Egan would strike to extend the Cardinals lead to 7-2. Then in the closing minutes of the game, the Cardinals would strike with Luke Baleshetea's second goal of the night to finish off the game and give the Cardinals the 8-2 victory.
